Želimo li biti ukljuÄeni? Promicanje turizma i industrijske baÅ”tine Nijemaca u Vojvodini
Local community members are considered as one of key stakeholder groups for
sustainable tourism development, not only as service providers, but also as an important part
of a decision-making process in tourism development. In respect to that, this study was focused
on their perceptions of potential tourism activities based on resources that are still not
valued for the purpose of tourism. There is a question whether the local community members
want to be involved and whether they perceive the industrial heritage as beneficial for the
local development. The research was conducted on the example of the industrial heritage in
Vojvodina (Autonomous Province in Serbia, former part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire), characterized by its historical, cultural, technical, architectural, and educational values of the
industrial heritage of Germans as a national minority. The survey research based on the 44-
item SUS TAS scale was conducted on a sample of 300 respondents, between October 2021
and March 2022. The main findings highlight the positive attitudes of the local community
members on sustainable development of the industrial heritage, but also their insufficient
knowledge of values in terms of German industrial legacy within their local environment. The
research results may contribute to experts in the field of tourism and culture for domestic and
u Vojvodini (autonomna pokrajina u Srbiji, ranije dio Austro-Ugarskog Carstva), obilježene
povijesnim, kulturnim, tehniÄkim, arhitektonskim i obrazovnim vrijednostima industrijske
Touristsā Motivation in Wetland Destinations: Gornje Podunavlje Special Nature Reserve Case Study (Mura-Drava-Danube Transboundary Biosphere Reserve)
The main objectives of this research were twofold: firstly, to evaluate touristsā perception of Gornje Podunavlje Special Nature Reserve, one of the four significant protected areas within the Serbian part of Mura-Drava-Danube Biosphere Reserve, and secondly, to identify the motivations behind touristsā visits to wetlands and their overall satisfaction with the visits. In addition, this study was also focused on the relationships between aforementioned constructs and touristsā socio-demographic characteristics and visit characteristics. Finally, this study attempts to address the relationships between touristsā motives for their visit, their image perception and satisfaction. The research findings showed that each of the three remaining factors had significant relationships with Satisfaction and experience. The research was conducted in the form of the survey in the period between May 2020 and April 2022 on the sample of 216 visitors. The research findings showed that each of three remaining factors had significant relationships with Satisfaction and experience. Relationships are also found between identified improvement requirements, Motivation for spending time particularly in wetlands, and perceived biodiversity image. Finally, there are significant relationships between duration of the visit with Satisfaction and experience and Motivation for spending time in nature and future behavior. Practical implications of the research results might be beneficial for managers of wetland destinations, in order to improve the offer in line with touristsā preferences
