CHANGES IN SOME BIOCHEMICAL PARAMETERS IN PATIENTS WITH KAHLER RUSTITZKI DISEASE

    No full text
This paper aims to carry out research into the changes in some biochemical parameters in 10 patients diagnosed with plasmacytoma. The parameters have been obtained in the laboratory of “Elena Beldiman” Emergency Hospital Barlad, and in the”Dr Stoian –Dr. Ungureanu”Private Medical Practice, between 2005 – 2011. The analyses results, which are in accordance with those from the scholarly literature, show that the changes in blood indicators may occur as a result of the influence of various factors which negatively modify the patient’s health. The 10 cases surveyed during 2010 also emphasize the frequency of this disease in the sense that they have the tendency of equalization under the aspect of the two genders ( masculin and feminin) in comparision with the years before 201

    Hematological changes in multiple myeloma

This paper presents the results of some hematological investigations which were done in the laboratory of the Municipal Emergency Hospital, Barlad on a number of 10 patients diagnosed with multiple myeloma. This type of blood cancer, also called plasmocytoma or Kahler’s disease, is characterized by a malignant proliferation of the plasmocytes in the bone marrow with serious hematopoietic perturbations, dramatic increase of ESR, bones pain, hypercalcemia, renal affection, etc. Our results confirm both the grouping of the red cells into scrolls and the presence of the big myeloma plasmocytes, grouped into nests ( foci), and sometimes can take unusual shapes (dumb bells). The hemoglobin and hematocryte decrease untill 63-65% compared to the normal physiological limit, the number of red cells reaches up to 20-23% from the normal limit, both for men and women, and the ESR amplifies compared to the normal as it follows: up to 12 times for men ( 65-158 mm/h) and up to 13,2 times for women ( 33-156 mm/h). The white cells and thrombocytes present some restricted numerical changes compared to the red series

CHARACTERIZATION OF ANEMIA IN MULTIPLE MYELOMA WITH THE HELP OF ERYTHROCYTE CONSTANTS

This paper intends to shed extra light on different types of anemia as caused by multiple myeloma in patients registered at “ Elena Beldiman” Municipal Emergency Hospital from Barlad, between 2001-1012. In order to complete this characterization, the values of derived erythrocyte constants have been used: the average volume of erythrocytes (VEM); mean erythrocyte hemoglobin (HEM) and the average concentration of erythrocyte hemoglobin (CHEM). Moreover, this paper aims to compare the different types of anemia in patients with multiple myeloma, according to their gender and age. The 34 identified patients were divided into four study groups, men and women aged under 60, respectively over 60 years.         It has been noticed that the incidence of macrocytic anemia (increased VEM) coexists with hypochromia (decreased CHEM), and the values from the four study groups are comparable, both types of anemia having mollified levels of severity, both in male patients and female patients

Biochemical changes in the multiple myeloma

he research of the myeloma proteins peculiar for their homogeneity lead to a thoroughgoing study of the normal immunoglobulins, of their structure and metabolism. Immunoglobulins migrate electrophoretically with the fractions : alpha, beta or better gamma. The heavy and light chains are separately synthesized in plasma cells, and then binded , their synthesis being equilibrated, but, in diseases such as multiple myeloma,it may exist a great excess of light chains, that emerge in the urine as Bence –Jones proteins, next to which it can be noticed the presence in the blood serum in high quantity of one of the classes of G, A, D, E immunoglobulins. The variation of the serum proteins have been studied through the electrophoresis method on paper or in agar, noticing the albumins diminution, the occuring of a high and narrow wave peculiar for the disease in the sorroundings of the gamma globulins. The electrophoresis on agar gel from the serum snd urine, points out a paraprotein, which looks like a homogenous band, well-controlled, highly coloured, situated in the gamma area, scarcely in the beta or alpha areas. The peculiar biochemical indeces have been surveye

THE STUDY OF SOME BIOCHEMICAL PARAMETERS IN PATIENTS WITH MULTIPLE MYELOMA

This paper presents the results of some biochemical parameters obtained in the laboratory of “Elena Beldiman” Emergency Hospital Barlad, and in the”Dr. Stoian –Dr. Ungureanu”Private Medical Practice on 10 patients diagnosed with multiple myeloma during 2005-2011. Numerous researches over serum proteins with the help of various methods ( refractometry) have shown the presence of some changes in protein fractions of blood serum. These changes express the change of the normal ratio between these fractions, that means disorders in colloidal structure of blood. The results of the electrophoresis analysis, also in accordance with those from the scholarly literature, show that the changes in the condition of the blood serum are due to the increase in the globulins fractions which is linked to the growth of the immunological processes, the antibodies synthesis being especially closely linked to gammaglobulinic fractio

The study of the biochemical evolution of some indicators in subjects with multiple myeloma

This paper is a sequel of the previous studies related to the study of the biochemical evolution of someindicators on subjects with multiple myeloma. The study material of this paper consisted of blood samples collected from patients with multiple myeloma who were in different stages of evolution. In our country, from the consulted literature, it has been noticed that, although there were studies related to multiple myeloma – “Ways of signalization between the myeloma cell and the tumor microenvironment” – an important role is played by the changing evolution of somebiochemical indicators in this disease. This paper shows the results of the evolution in the evolution biochemicalparameters studied in the laboratory of “Elena Beldiman” Municipal Emergency Hospital and “Dr. Stoian – Dr.Ungureanu” Private Medical Practice. The studies were done on 32 patients suffering from multiple myeloma between2001 and 2010.</p
