    This work aims to present a study which consisted of researching, analyzing and interpreting statistical data, combined with theoretical aspects that allowed assessing the state of agricultural cooperatives existing in Romania and the economic and financial situation recorded in 2014. Thus, at the end of 2014 in Romania there were 690 agricultural cooperatives. Most of these are found in the South-Muntenia, respectively North-West, totalling 231 cooperatives. Also, 40% of all agricultural cooperatives are represented by the vegetal genre. In 2014 agricultural cooperatives in Romania totalled a turnover of 383 million lei, representing about 85 million euros, a significant sum indeed. The most significant income were achieved in South-Muntenia about 124 million lei (almost a third of the total income registered by the cooperatives), representing 28 million

    This work aims to present a study that consisted of researching, interpreting of statistical data, combined with theoretical aspects that allowed a brief but pragmatic analysis of storage spaces existing in Romania at present and assessing the deficit storage space of the total vegetal production of the main categories of vegetal crops in 2014. Thus, knowing these matters there can be developed national strategies to prevent imbalances and distortions which can appear in the correct formation that prices of crop production, representing a real advantage for agricultural producers in Romania. Thus, at the end of 2014 in Romania for a total of 25,602,657 tons of total agricultural production of the main crops and a total storage capacity of 20,817,496 tons, according to the working hypothesis mentioned, it follows a deficit of 4,785,161 tons of storage

    This paper wants to emphasize the vitality of the association and cooperation in agriculture, food and related services in Romania for efficient operation and development of romanian agriculture. This phenomenon had and still has a huge impact for European farmers and especially romanian. The force of the countries with a strong agriculture in Europe and all over the glob is in the farmers association and cooperation. Romania has 1192 associations of livestock farmers, accounting for a total of 213,071 members. The EU agricultural producers are well represented in the European Parliament agriculture committee by COPA-COGECA, the organization which represents 56 national organizations from 25 countries out of 27 of the union. Our country must understand that without a reform aimed at streamlining the professional and union of a strong unified voice on national and European level, our agriculture will live from its former glory

    Study regarding the perspectives of Arges county agriculture through the farmers’ vision

    This work aims to present a study regarding the perspectives of Arges agriculture through the farmer’s vision.This paper will disseminate only part of the information obtained by questionnaire. People who were interviewed are representatives of agricultural holdings with legal form and individual exploitations without legal form. The questionnaire aimed to identify the opinion of farmers according to legal form on the following issues: What kind of agriculture is consider necessary to be practiced in the county and the means for upgrading technology. A percentage of 66% considers that it is necessarily highly productive agriculture, of large farms that use fertilizers, herbicides, etc., and only 34% for the traditional organic farming. As a result, the survey revealed that the farmers who have farms with legal form considers that they can modernize their exploitation by mechanization (33%), using new varieties (28%) and using new crop technologies.The same opinions have the farmers from the individual agricultural sector, there were no significant differences between the farmers from the exploitation sector with legal form

    The paper adresses an approach on indicators from the public database FADN (Farm Accountancy Data Network), at farm level selected from Romania. The study focused on analyzing the data series in 2012 (the latest year reported in the FADN) and the second part of the study was supported by the report on the last six years (2007-2012) and four of the eight regions. The data comes from public database FADN and the methodology consisted of a descriptive analysis of the data and presenting them as graphic and tabular form. The results recorded consisted of highlighting the differences between regions and survey findings have highlighted a decrease in interest and rental costs and also in investment levels, compared to 2012; in the same conditions, the total production and cash flow increased

    Helianthus annuus (sunflower) is an oilseed crop with multiple food and industrial uses, such as production of edible oil, the biofuel industry, the manufacture of soap and fodder production. Sunflower is the most important honey plant, considering the large areas cultivated with sunflower and the quality of nectar. Due to its ability to use soil moisture and soil nitrogen reserve better than other species, and to good productivity and the high quality of its by-products, sunflower crop is representing a good option for organic farming systems. This study presents an overview of organic production of sunflower in Romania, starting from a general analysis of the European Union organic production of sunflower and going to an in depth analysis of Romanian cultivation and production, presenting an up-to-date report on the dynamics of the sunflower cultivation, up to county level
