A Project Support System Using Stepwise-Particularized Software Process Descriptions

This article proposes a project support system which employs process descriptions as vehicles of exchanging activity plans between a project manager and developers. The system provides cooperative specification of actual, detailed and executable process descriptions to project staffs, and stepwise particularizes process descriptions according to the project progress. Also, by handling the detailed process descriptions, the system generates candidates of more effective project plans and makes it possible to control individual processes of staffs in advance.
