Tagging single Tops
Top taggers which identify and reconstruct boosted top quarks have been
established as novel tools for a multitude of LHC analyses. We show how single
top production in association with a light-flavor or bottom jet can be observed
in the boosted phase space regime. The full top reconstruction as part of the
tagging algorithm allows us to define a distinctive kinematic angle which
clearly separates different single top production processes.Comment: 13 pages, 9 figure
Higgs boson to di-tau channel in Chargino-Neutralino searches at the LHC
We consider chargino-neutralino production, , which
results in Higgs boson final states that subsequently decay (inclusively) to
leptons (either or ). Such channels are
dominant in large regions of the allowed supersymmetric parameter space for
many concrete supersymmetric models. The existence of leptons allows for good
control over the backgrounds, rendering this channel competitive to the
conventional channel that has been previously used to
impose constraints. We include hadronic decays of the leptons in our
analysis through a -identification algorithm. We consider integrated
luminosities of 100 fb, 300 fb and 3000 fb, for an LHC
running at centre-of-mass energy of 14 TeV and provide the expected
constraints on the - plane.Comment: 28 pages, 14 figures. Additional efficiency files for signal regions

Indirect Probe of Electroweak-Interacting Particles with Mono-Lepton Signatures at Hadron Colliders
Electroweak-interacting massive particles (EWIMPs) exist in a broad class of
new physics models beyond the Standard Model. Searching for such particles is
one of most primary goal at the LHC and future colliders. The EWIMP generally
affects the LHC signatures through quantum corrections even without direct
productions. By measuring the Standard Model processes precisely, we can
indirectly probe the EWIMPs. In this paper, we study the current constraint and
future prospect of the EWIMPs by using the precision measurements of
mono-lepton production from the charged Drell-Yan processes at hadron
colliders. We found the mono-lepton signature can be a better probe than
dilepton signature from the neutral Drell-Yan processes.Comment: 10 pages, 7 figure
Buckets of Tops
Reconstructing hadronically decaying top quarks is a key challenge at the
LHC, affecting a long list of Higgs analyses and new physics searches. We
propose a new method of collecting jets in buckets, corresponding to top quarks
and initial state radiation. This method is particularly well suited for
moderate transverse momenta of the top quark, closing the gap between top
taggers and traditional top reconstruction. Applying it to searches for
supersymmetric top squarks we illustrate the power of buckets.Comment: 14 pages, 7 figures, 5 table
Buckets of Higgs and Tops
We show that associated production of a Higgs with a top pair can be observed
in purely hadronic decays. Reconstructing the top quarks in the form of jet
buckets allows us to control QCD backgrounds as well as signal combinatorics.
The background can be measured from side bands in the reconstructed Higgs mass.
We back up our claims with a detailed study of the QCD event simulation, both
for the signal and for the backgrounds.Comment: 16 pages, 7 figure
