Nonequilibrium Goldstone phenomenon in Hybrid Inflation
We study the onset of Goldstone phenomenon in a hybrid inflation scenario.
The physically motivated range of parameters is analyzed in order to meet the
cosmological constraints. Classical equations of motion are solved and the
evolution through the spontaneous symmetry breaking is followed. We emphasize
the role of topological defects that partially maintain the disordered phase
well after the waterfall. We study the emergence of the Goldstone excitations
and their role in the onset of the radiation dominated universe.Comment: 10 pages with 7 figures. Contribution to Strong and Electroweak

Transport coefficients and quantum fields
Various aspects of transport coefficients in quantum field theory are
reviewed. We describe recent progress in the calculation of transport
coefficients in hot gauge theories using Kubo formulas, paying attention to the
fulfillment of Ward identities. We comment on why the color conductivity in hot
QCD is much simpler to compute than the electrical conductivity. The
nonperturbative extraction of transport coefficients from lattice QCD
calculations is briefly discussed.Comment: 15 pages with 9 eps figures. Combined invited talk by G.A. and poster

Numerical simulation with light Wilson-quarks
The computational cost of numerical simulations of QCD with light dynamical
Wilson-quarks is estimated by determining the autocorrelation of various
quantities. In test runs the expected qualitative behaviour of the pion mass
and coupling at small quark masses is observed.Comment: 5 pages, 3 figures, to appear in the Proceedings of SEWM, Heidelberg,
