BIM technology in the construction investment realization process: case studies of the SXD Polska

Wraz z rozwojem technologii informatycznych i potrzeb rynku AEC coraz częściej można zaobserwować obecność technologii BIM w różnych fazach projektowania. Sam proces realizacji inwestycji budowlanej jest niezwykle złożony oraz skomplikowany, a projekt, w zależności od fazy, często zmienia swą zawartość, formę i zakres. Modelowanie w technologii BIM ułatwia wprowadzanie zmian oraz umożliwia zapewnienie aktualności danym wykorzystywanym na różnych etapach. W pracy zaprezentowano doświadczenia pracowni projektowej SXD Polska, która realizuje projekty i współpracuje z podmiotami z całej Europy. W artykule wyróżniono fazy procesu realizacji inwestycji budowlanych wraz z podziałem na poszczególne etapy, zaś zalety i korzyści wynikające z zastosowania BIM pokazano na konkretnych przykładach. Może to stanowić zachętę dla innych przedsiębiorstw do wdrożenia BIM.Along with the development of information technology and the needs of AEC market, the presence of BIM is observed more often in different design phases. The construction investment realization process is extremely complex and complicated and the project, depending on the phase, often changes its content, form and scope. BIM modelling makes it easier to implement changes and allows to keep the valid data which are used at different stages. This elaboration presents the experience of the SXD Polska company, which accomplishes projects and cooperates with European entities. The article distinguishes the phases of the construction investment realization process with the division into several stages, while the advantages and benefits of using BIM are presented by specific examples. This can provide an incentive for other companies to implement BIM technology
