Benzoic acid–2,2′-biimidazole (2/1)
In the title compound, C6H6N4·2C7H6O2, the asymmetric unit contains a half-molecule of biimidazole and one benzoic acid molecule. The unit cell contains two biimidazole molecules and four benzoic acid molecules, giving the reported 2:1 ratio of benzoic acid to biimidazole. The biimidazole molecule is located on an inversion center (passing through the central C—C bond). Strong N—H⋯O and O—H⋯N hydrogen bonds link the benzoic acid molecules with the neutral biimidazole molecules, which lie in planar sheets. In the crystal packing, the parallel sheets are related by a twofold rotation axis and an inversion centre, respectively, forming an interwoven three-dimensional network via weak C=O⋯π intermolecular interactions between neighboring molecules
2,2′,2′′,2′′′-(1,4-Phenylenedinitrilo)tetraacetic acid dihydrate
In the title compound, C14H16N2O8·2H2O, the complete organic molecule is generated by crystallographic inversion symmetry. The dihedral angles between the aniline ring and the acetic acid groups are almost identical, viz. 82.61 (7) and 80.33 (7)°. In the crystal, O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the organic molecules and water molecules, forming zigzag chains the c axis. An intramolecular O—H⋯O hydrogen bond is also observed
Bis[2-(1H-benzimidazol-2-yl)phenolato]dimethanolmanganese(III) chloride
In the title compound, [Mn(C13H9N2O)2(CH3OH)2]Cl, the MnIII atom (site symmetry ) is coordinated by two N,O-bidentate 2-(1H-benzimidazol-2-yl)phenolate ligands and two methanol molecules, to generate a distorted trans-MnN2O4 octahedral geometry for the metal ion. The dihedral angle between the aromatic ring systems in the ligand is 16.0 (3)°. In the crystal structure, the complex cations and chloride anions are linked by O—H⋯Cl and N—H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds. The chloride ion lies on a crystallographic twofold axis
Hexakis(dimethylammonium) di-μ6-oxido-tetra-μ3-oxido-tetradeca-μ2-oxido-octaoxidodecavanadate(V) monohydrate
In the title compound, (C2H8N)6[V10O28]·H2O, the [V10O28]6− polymetalate anion has crystallographic mirror symmetry with six V atoms and 12 O atoms lying on the mirror plane. Each of the VV atoms adopts a distorted octahedral geometry. Eight terminal O atoms are bonded to VV atoms with double bonds and the others act as bridging atoms. In the crystal structure, a network of N—H⋯O and O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds helps to establish the packing
Tris[2-(1H-imidazol-2-yl)imidazol-1-ido]cobalt(III)
In the title compound, [Co(C6H5N4)3], the CoIII atom adopts a distorted octahedral CoN6 coordination geometry, arising from three N,N′-bidentate deprotonated 2,2′-biimidazole ligands. The dihedral angles between the five-membered rings of the ligands are 4.1 (2), 9.4 (2) and 10.5 (2)°. In the crystal, molecules are linked by N—H⋯N hydrogen bonds, generating a layered network lying in (11)
2-(4-Methylphenyl)-1H-imidazo[4,5-f][1,10]phenanthroline
In the title compound, C20H14N4, all the non-H atoms are roughly coplanar with an r.m.s. deviation of 0.0776 Å. In the crystal, molecules are linked by N—H⋯N hydrogen bonds, forming chains along the (). The chains are connected by intermolecular C—H⋯N hydrogen bonds and π–π stacking interactions between inversion-related phenanthroline, imidazole and phenyl rings with centroid–centroid distances in the range 3.777 (1)–3.905 (1) Å
Multiplex Detection of Five Canine Viral Pathogens for Dogs as Laboratory Animals by the Luminex xTAG Assay
More and more dogs have been used as a disease model for medical research and drug safety evaluation. Therefore, it is important to make sure that the dogs and their living houses are special pathogen free. In this study, the development and evaluation of a Luminex xTAG assay for simultaneous detection of five canine viruses was carried out, including canine distemper virus, canine parvovirus, canine parainfluenza virus, canine adenovirus, and rabies virus. Assay specificity was accomplished by targeting conserved genomic regions for each virus. Hybridization between multiplexed PCR products and the labeled fluorescence microspheres was detected in a high throughput format using a Luminex fluorescence reader. The Luminex xTAG assay showed high sensitivity with limits of detection for the five viruses was 100 copies/μL. Specificity of the xTAG assay showed no amplification of canine coronavirus, pseudorabies virus and canine influenza virus indicating that the xTAG assay was specific. Seventy-five clinical samples were tested to evaluate the xTAG assay. The results showed 100% coincidence with the conventional PCR method. This is the first report of a specific and sensitive multiplex Luminex xTAG assay for simultaneous detection of five major canine viral pathogens. This assay will be a useful tool for quality control and environmental monitoring for dogs used as laboratory animals, may even be applied in laboratory epidemiological investigations
Crystal structure of diethyl [(4-nitrophenylamino)(2-hydroxyphenyl)methyl]phosphonate methanol monosolvate
In the title compound, C17H21N2O6P·CH3OH, the planes of the 4-nitroaniline and 2-hydroxyphenyl groups form a dihedral angle of 84.04 (8)°. The P atom exhibits tetrahedral geometry involving two O-ethyl groups, a Cα atom and a double-bonded O atom. In the crystal, O—H...O, N—H...O and C—H...O hydrogen bonds link the α-aminophosphonic acid and methanol molecules into chains that propagate parallel to the a axis
