The research question was how reconstruction existence in a criminal case could support evidences contained a police investigation report and what their hindrances were. The research was supposed to identify the capacity of reconstructions in a criminal case to strengthen crime evidences declared in a police investigation report was and their hindrances were. It was socio-legal research , i.e.:a legal and non legal oriented research to study the mechanisme of both legal and non legal aspect in the society. The reconstructions detailed in the reconstruction report shall serve as supplements to complete a police a police investigations report certains criminal cases to disclose material truths in a crime proofing as basis for sentencing a verdict. The hindrances arise when reconstruction are based on result of presumption from unprovable material truth resources of investigation, instead of evidences factually found in an investigation

Analisis Cover Majalah Zigma Edisi 139 Sampai 144 Tahun 2014

Majalah Zigma adalah  majalah bulanan  yang  membahas tentang  video  game, animasi 2 dimensi dan 3 dimensi, film, serta tokusatsu. Majalah Zigma yang berbasis  game, animasi dan film harus menampilkan cover  yang  menarik  dan  fungsional  sehingga  penerapannya  memerlukan  layout,  unsur-unsur  desain, tipografi,  ilustrasi  dan  prinsip  desain  dengan  pemakaian  yang  tepat.  Di  setiap  edisi  majalah  zigma, tampilan  cover  baik dari segi visual dan  verbal ditujukan  untuk  menyampaikan pesan dari ide gagasan awal  majalah.  Adapun  masalah  yang  akan  dikaji  adalah  sebagai  berikut:  (1)Bagaimana  pemilihan  ide gagasan pembuatan  cover  majalah Zigma edisi 139 sampai 144 tahun 2014?, (2)Bagaimana penerapan unsur-unsur desain, tipografi, dan gambar ilustrasi dalam  layout  cover  majalah Zigma edisi 139 sampai 144 tahun 2014?, (3)Bagaimana penerapan prinsip desain pada unsur-unsur desain, tipografi, dan gambar ilustrasi dalam  layout  cover  majalah Zigma edisi 139 sampai 144 tahun 2014?. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  menganalisis  unsur-unsur  desain,  tipografi,  ilustrasi  serta  penerapan  prinsip  desain  pada  layoutmajalah  Zigma.  Penelitian  ini  adalah  penelitian  deskriptif  kualitatif.  Dengan  menggunakan  teknik pengumpulan data observasi terkendali, wawancara, dokumentasi dan pencarian data. Sedangkan untuk validasi  datanya,  penelitian  ini  menggunakan  triangulasi  data  untuk  menguji  keabsahan  data.  Melihat edisi  terbaru  majalah  Zigma  dari  masa  penelitian,  maka  penelitian  ini  mempersempit  periode  edisi majalah dari edisi bulan Juni sampai bulan November 2014 dengan mengambil objek penelitian yaitu dari cover  depan  dan belakang  majalah  Zigma  edisi  139 Juni  2014,  edisi 140  Juli  2014,  edisi  141  Agustus 2014, edisi 142 September  2014, edisi 143 Oktober 2014, edisi 144 November 2014. Objek penelitian dipilih  dengan  tema  yang  berbeda.  Dari  pengumpulan  dan  analisis  data  yang  telah  dilakukan  dapat diketahui bahwa tampilan  cover  majalah Zigma di setiap struktur  layout, penerapan unsur-unsur desain, tipografi,  ilustrasi  dan  prinsip  desain  memiliki  fungsi  tersendiri  yang  saling  berhubungan.  Tema  yang diangkat  merupakan  hasil  dari  ide  gagasan  redaksi  yang  berkisar  dari  dunia  game,  perfilman  dan lingkungan anak muda yang sedang marak di perbincangkan. Kata Kunci : Unsur Visual, Prinsip Desain, Ide, Cover, ZigmaZigma magazine is a monthly magazine which discusses about  game  videos, animation of 2 dimension and 3 dimension, films and tokusatsu. Zigma magazine, which is based on  games, animations and films, has to put the  cover  forward in interesting and functional  way  therefore for applying the  cover  needs to put  layout,  design  elements,  typography,  illustration  and  design  principles  in  properly  USAge.  In  every edition  of  Zigma  magazine,  the  cover  appearance  is  pointed  with  message  extended  of  ideas  on  the beginning  of  magazine.  The problems  that  will  be  investigated are:  (1)  how  do  the  ideas  selection  for producing the  cover  of Zigma Magazine for 139 th edition until 144 th edition in 2014? (2) How does the applying of design elements, typography and illustration pictures in  layout  cover  of Zigma Magazine for 139th edition until 144 th edition in 2014? (3) How does the application of design principles to the design  elements, typography  and illustration pictures in  layout  cover  of Zigma Magazine for 139 th edition until  144 th edition in 2014? This research aims to analyze the design elements, typography, illustration and application of design principles on  layout  of Zigma magazine. This research is a qualitative descriptive  research. This research uses controlled observation data technique, interview, documentation and data  searching. Whereas the data validation, this research uses triangulation data for testing the data validity.  By observing the latest edition of Zigma magazine in this research period, hence this research make a  limitation  of  the  magazine  edition  period  from  edition  on  June  till  November  2014  through  took  the   research objects from the front and back  cover  of Zigma Magazine for 139 th edition on June 2014, 140 th on  July  2014,  141 st edition  on  August  2014,  142 nd edition  on  September,  on  143rd  edition  on  October,  144 thon November 2014. The research objects are chosen with different themes.  From the collection and analysis data which had done, can be concluded that the  cover  appereances of Zigma magazine in every layout  structure, application of design elements, typograph, ilustration and design princpiples have their own functions which conected one to another. The themes which adapted are results of ideas of editorial staff  that  were  taken  from  games  world,  films  and  youth  environment  of  what  news  are  blooming disscussed

The use of the LANDSAT data collection system and imagery in reservoir management and operation

The author has identified the following significant results. An increase in the data collection system's (DCS) ability to function in the flood control mission with no additional manpower was demonstrated during the storms which struck New England during April and May of 1975 and August 1976. It was found that for this watershed, creditable flood hydrographs could be generated from DCS data. It was concluded that an ideal DCS for reservoir regulation would draw features from LANDSAT and GOES. MSS grayscale computer printout and a USGS topographic map were compared, yielding an optimum computer classification map of the wetland areas of the Merrimack River estuary. A classification accuracy of 75% was obtained for the wetlands unit, taking into account the misclassified and the unclassified pixels. The MSS band 7 grayscale printouts of the Franklin Falls reservoir showed good agreement to USGS topographic maps in total area of water depicted at the low water reservoir stage and at the maximum inundation level. Preliminary analysis of the LANDSAT digital data using the GISS computer algorithms showed that the radiance of snow cover/vegetation varied from approximately 20 mW/sq cm sr in nonvegetated areas to less than 4 mW/sq cm sr for densely covered forested area

A review of shear stress sign convention in interpreting Mohrs circle

pre-printThe pole of planes method is a popular technique for interpreting Mohr's circle to determine the stresses (normal and shear) on planes of differing rotations in 2-D space. A survey of undergraduate textbooks on soil mechanics shows differing viewpoints on the sign convention for interpreting the shear stresses. This paper makes a rigorous evaluation of the consequences of using a clockwise (CW) or counterclockwise (CCW) positive sign convention for the proper interpretation of Mohr's circle of stresses. In either case, the shear stress axis is considered positive upwards while the normal stress axis is considered positive to the right. It was found that if the shear stresses acting on an element are considered CW positive, the resulting stresses found on a rotated plane do not satisfy static equilibrium. However, the stresses determined using a CCW sign convention do satisfy static equilibrium and hence, if the pole method is to be used to interpret Mohr's circle for stresses, a CCW positive sign convention for shear stresses must be used
