    The influence of sub-temperature quenching temperature on microstructure and properties of 60Si2Mn steel

    Influence of sub-temperature quenching temperature on the tensile strength, hardness and toughness of 60Si2Mn steel was studied, and the ferrite content, austenite grain size and martensite morphology of the microstructure of this steel after sub-temperature quenching were analyzed. The results show that duplex microstructure of martensite and ferrite is obtained by sub-temperature quenching of 60Si2Mn steel. The ferrite content decreases with the quenching temperature increasing. The strength and hardness of 60Si2Mn steel increase, however, its toughness decreases in the range of 770~810ā„ƒ. The maximum strength and hardness can be obtained by quenching at 800ā„ƒ, but the strength and hardness decease above 800ā„ƒ. The small amount of strip ferrite is distributed among martensite lamellar to improve the toughness of the steel. All martensite structure can be obtained by quenching at 810ā„ƒ

    PSAQ-ViT V2: Towards Accurate and General Data-Free Quantization for Vision Transformers

    Data-free quantization can potentially address data privacy and security concerns in model compression, and thus has been widely investigated. Recently, PSAQ-ViT designs a relative value metric, patch similarity, to generate data from pre-trained vision transformers (ViTs), achieving the first attempt at data-free quantization for ViTs. In this paper, we propose PSAQ-ViT V2, a more accurate and general data-free quantization framework for ViTs, built on top of PSAQ-ViT. More specifically, following the patch similarity metric in PSAQ-ViT, we introduce an adaptive teacher-student strategy, which facilitates the constant cyclic evolution of the generated samples and the quantized model (student) in a competitive and interactive fashion under the supervision of the full-precision model (teacher), thus significantly improving the accuracy of the quantized model. Moreover, without the auxiliary category guidance, we employ the task- and model-independent prior information, making the general-purpose scheme compatible with a broad range of vision tasks and models. Extensive experiments are conducted on various models on image classification, object detection, and semantic segmentation tasks, and PSAQ-ViT V2, with the naive quantization strategy and without access to real-world data, consistently achieves competitive results, showing potential as a powerful baseline on data-free quantization for ViTs. For instance, with Swin-S as the (backbone) model, 8-bit quantization reaches 82.13 top-1 accuracy on ImageNet, 50.9 box AP and 44.1 mask AP on COCO, and 47.2 mIoU on ADE20K. We hope that accurate and general PSAQ-ViT V2 can serve as a potential and practice solution in real-world applications involving sensitive data.     Patch Similarity Aware Data-Free Quantization for Vision Transformers

    Vision transformers have recently gained great success on various computer vision tasks; nevertheless, their high model complexity makes it challenging to deploy on resource-constrained devices. Quantization is an effective approach to reduce model complexity, and data-free quantization, which can address data privacy and security concerns during model deployment, has received widespread interest. Unfortunately, all existing methods, such as BN regularization, were designed for convolutional neural networks and cannot be applied to vision transformers with significantly different model architectures. In this paper, we propose PSAQ-ViT, a Patch Similarity Aware data-free Quantization framework for Vision Transformers, to enable the generation of "realistic" samples based on the vision transformer's unique properties for calibrating the quantization parameters. Specifically, we analyze the self-attention module's properties and reveal a general difference (patch similarity) in its processing of Gaussian noise and real images. The above insights guide us to design a relative value metric to optimize the Gaussian noise to approximate the real images, which are then utilized to calibrate the quantization parameters. Extensive experiments and ablation studies are conducted on various benchmarks to validate the effectiveness of PSAQ-ViT, which can even outperform the real-data-driven methods.Comment: Accepted to ECCV 202

    The relationship between professional quality of life and work environment among ICU nurses in Chinese: a cross-sectional study

    ObjectiveTo explore the relationship between the professional quality of life and work environment among intensive care unit nurses, and identify the influencing factors of intensive care unit nurses' professional quality of life.MethodsThis study design is cross-sectional and correlational descriptive. Four hundred fourteen intensive care unit nurses from Central China were recruited. Data were collected from three questionnaires of self-designed demographic questions, the professional quality of life scale and the nursing work environment scale. Descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation, bivariate analysis and multiple linear regression were used to analyze the data.ResultsA total of 414 questionnaires was collected, for an effective recovery rate of 98.57%. The original scores of the three sub-scales of professional quality of life were 33.58 Ā± 6.43, 31.83 Ā± 5.94, and 32.55 Ā± 5.74. Compassion satisfaction was positively correlated with the nursing working environment (p < 0.05), job burnout, and secondary trauma were negatively correlated with nursing work in environment (p < 0.05). Multiple linear regression analysis results show that, the nursing working environment entered into the influential factor model of professional quality of life scale (p < 0.001). The nursing working environment independently explained 26.9% of the changes in compassion satisfaction, 27.1% of the changes in job burnout, and 27.5% of the changes in secondary trauma. The nursing work environment is an important factor affecting the professional quality of life.ConclusionThe better the nursing working environment, the higher the professional quality of life of intensive care unit nurses. Decision makers and managers can focus on improving the working environment of nurses, which may be a new perspective for managers to improve the professional quality of life of nurses and stabilize the nursing team

    Efficient entry point encoding and decoding algorithms on 2D Hilbert space filling curve

    The Hilbert curve is an important method for mapping high-dimensional spatial information into one-dimensional spatial information while preserving the locality in the high-dimensional space. Entry points of a Hilbert curve can be used for image compression, dimensionality reduction, corrupted image detection and many other applications. As far as we know, there is no specific algorithms developed for entry points. To address this issue, in this paper we present an efficient entry point encoding algorithm (EP-HE) and a corresponding decoding algorithm (EP-HD). These two algorithms are efficient by exploiting the m consecutive 0s in the rear part of an entry point. We further found that the outputs of these two algorithms are a certain multiple of a certain bit of s, where s is the starting state of these m levels. Therefore, the results of these m levels can be directly calculated without iteratively encoding and decoding. The experimental results show that these two algorithms outperform their counterparts in terms of processing entry points

    Synaptic Targeting and Function of SAPAPs Mediated by Phosphorylation-Dependent Binding to PSD-95 MAGUKs

    The PSD-95/SAPAP/Shank complex functions as the major scaffold in orchestrating the formation and plasticity of the post-synaptic densities (PSDs). We previously demonstrated that the exquisitely specific SAPAP/Shank interaction is critical for Shank synaptic targeting and Shank-mediated synaptogenesis. Here, we show that the PSD-95/SAPAP interaction, SAPAP synaptic targeting, and SAPAP-mediated synaptogenesis require phosphorylation of the N-terminal repeat sequences of SAPAPs. The atomic structure of the PSD-95 guanylate kinase (GK) in complex with a phosphor-SAPAP repeat peptide, together with biochemical studies, reveals the molecular mechanism underlying the phosphorylation-dependent PSD-95/SAPAP interaction, and it also provides an explanation of a PSD-95 mutation found in patients with intellectual disabilities. Guided by the structural data, we developed potent non-phosphorylated GK inhibitory peptides capable of blocking the PSD-95/SAPAP interaction and interfering with PSD-95/SAPAP-mediated synaptic maturation and strength. These peptides are genetically encodable for investigating the functions of the PSD-95/SAPAP interaction in vivo. Using structural biology, cell biology, and electrophysiology approaches, Zhu et al. demonstrate that phosphorylation of the N-terminal repeating sequences of SAPAPs is required for the SAPAP/PSD-95 complex formation and SAPAP's synaptic targeting and maturation functions. They also developed a potent non-phosphorylated PSD-95 GK inhibitory peptide that can effectively disrupt the SAPAP/PSD-95 complex formation and thus inhibit excitatory synaptic activities.     An empirical test of the influence of rural leadership on the willingness to participate in public affairs from the perspective of leadership identification

    The participation of villagers in rural public affairs is vital for the sustainable development of rural communities and the improvement of villagersā€™ quality of life. Various factors, including individual characteristics, village environment, social forces, and national policies, influence villagersā€™ willingness to participate. However, empirical research on the determinants of villagersā€™ participation in public affairs often overlooks the role of grassroots leadership. To address this gap, this study proposes a theoretical model examining the relationship between transformational leadership and villagersā€™ willingness to participate in public affairs. Using a sample of 438 villagers from Jiangsu Province in eastern China, structural equation modeling and regression are employed to analyze the data. The findings indicate that moral modeling, leadership charm, and personalized care directly impact villagersā€™ willingness to participate in public affairs or indirectly influence it through leadership identification, which acts as a mediator. Furthermore, shared vision enhances the positive relationship between leadership identification and villagersā€™ awareness of public affairs participation. These findings provide valuable insights for village cadres seeking to promote active participation in public affairs among villagers. Specifically, gaining recognition through virtuous conduct, capabilities, and strong cadreā€“villager relationships serves as a foundation for influencing villagersā€™ willingness to participate in public affairs, while shared vision plays a strategic role in mobilizing villagers based on their identification with leaders

    Therapeutic Effects of Chinese Medicine Herb Pair, Huzhang and Guizhi, on Monosodium Urate Crystal-Induced Gouty Arthritis in Rats Revealed by Anti-Inflammatory Assessments and NMR-Based Metabonomics

    The present study was undertaken to evaluate the therapeutic effects of Huzhang-Guizhi herb pair (HG), firstly included in Hu-Zhang Power documented in Taiping Shenghui Fang, on monosodium urate (MSU) crystals-induced gouty arthritis in rats. We found that pretreatment with HG in rats with gouty arthritis could significantly attenuate the ankle joint swelling, and this beneficial antigout effect might be mediated, at least in part, by inhibiting tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-Ī±) and interleukin-1 beta (IL-1Ī²) production in synovial fluid as well as nuclear transcription factor-ĪŗB p65 (NF-ĪŗB p65) protein expression in synovial tissue. Moreover, metabonomic analysis demonstrated that 5 and 6 potential biomarkers associated with gouty arthritis in plasma and urine, respectively, which were mainly involved in energy metabolism, amino acid metabolism, and gut microbe metabolism, were identified. HG could reverse the pathological process of MSU-induced gouty arthritis through regulating the disturbed metabolic pathways. These results provided important mechanistic insights into the protective effects of HG against MSU-induced gouty arthritis in rats

    Green growth, economic development, and carbon dioxide emissions: an evaluation based on cointegration and vector error correction models

    Economic development is mainly dependent on fossil fuels. The massive use of fossil fuels has led to changes in the climate environment, in which the deterioration of air quality has affected peopleā€™s daily lives. This paper introduces the green growth level as a control variable to explore the connection between carbon dioxide emissions and the level of economic growth. It uses the EKC algorithm and VEC model to analyze Nanjing cityā€™s data from 1993 to 2018. Given the data availability, the ARIMA algorithm was used to project carbon emissions for 2019ā€“2025. It is found that the EKC curve of Nanjing City shows an N-shape, and the growth of economic level will cause the enhancement of carbon dioxide emissions. Carbon emissions will reach 7,592,140 tons in 2025. At present, we are in an essential stage of transition from N-shape to inverted U-shape, and this paper makes several recommendations based on the findings

    Cloning and function analysis of a Saussurea involucrata LEA4 gene

    Late embryogenesis abundant proteins (LEA) help adapt to adverse low-temperature environments. The Saussurea involucrate SiLEA4, which encodes a membrane protein, was significantly up-regulated in response to low temperature stress. Escherichia coli expressing SiLEA4 showed enhanced low-temperature tolerance, as evident from the significantly higher survival numbers and growth rates at low temperatures. Moreover, tomato strains expressing SiLEA4 had significantly greater freezing resistance, due to a significant increase in the antioxidase activities and proline content. Furthermore, they had higher yields due to higher water utilization and photosynthetic efficiency under the same water and fertilizer conditions. Thus, expressing SiLEA4 has multiple advantages: (1) mitigating chilling injury, (2) increasing yields, and (3) water-saving, which also indicates the great potential of the SiLEA4 for breeding applications
