Русловые процессы и устойчивость русла реки Неман (в пределах Республики Беларусь)

The article provides an assessment of the stability of the Neman riverbed. Author has developed a classification of the Neman River course based on the evaluation of its stability and coastal erosion risk. It has been established that presently the nature of riverbed processes in the Neman Valley is heterogeneous in various sections and even in small segments. On base of obtained results, the author has identified the following segments: Stolbtsovskiy, Lyubchanskiy, Mostovskiy, Grodno, and Sredne-Neman.Приведена оценка устойчивости русла р. Неман. Автором разработана классификация участков русла по опасности размыва берегов, их типизация по устойчивости и опасности размыва берегов. Установлено, что в настоящее время характер русловых процессов в долине р. Неман неоднороден на различных ее участках и даже на небольших отрезках. На основании этого автором выделены следующие участки: Столбцовский, Любчанский, Мостовский, Гродненский, Средне-Неманский

The paper describes the relationship and interaction of the city with riverbeds and vice versa. It is determined that low-order rivers react more quickly to the impact of man-made factors, radically changing the type of riverbed processes (the Iput River). The article presents an engineering-geomorphological assessment of the geodynamic regimes of the Neman River valley within Belarus and adjacent territories. Exodynamic processes within the floodplain, above-floodplain terraces, on the sides and adjacent flat interfluves, as well as technogenic processes were studied. Zoning of the valley and adjacent areas was carried out according to the characteristics of engineering development.Дана инженерно-геоморфологическая оценка экзодинамических режимов речной долины Немана, в пределах Беларуси и прилегающих территорий. Изучены экзодинамические процессы в пределах поймы, надпойменных террас, на бортах и прилегающих плакорах, а также техногенные процессы. Инженерно-геологическая характеристика долины реки Припять в пределах Республики Беларусь

The features of formation and spatial differentiation of engineering-geological conditions are considered. Genetic types of soil strata are identified as followed: alluvial, lake and marsh, water-glacial, moraine. Based on the analysis of physical and mechanical properties of soils, the assessment of their use as a basement for engineering structures was conducted. It is advised to use within the Pripyat River valley loamy, sandy and sandy sediments of different genesis as natural foundations for buildings the structures. It is noted that the widespread in this area marsh sediments are extremely undesirable to use as natural foundations.Рассмотрены особенности формирования и пространственной дифференциации инженерногеологических условий, выделены генетические типы грунтовых толщ: аллювиальные, озерные и болотные, водно-ледниковые, моренные. Проанализированы физико-механические свойства грунтов и дана оценка их использования как оснований инженерных сооружений. Определено, что в пределах речной долины Припяти целесообразно в качестве естественных оснований зданий и сооружений использовать суглинистые, супесчаные и песчаные отложения различного генезиса, а широко распространенные на изучаемой территории болотные отложения использовать в качестве естественных оснований крайне нежелательно

Peculiarities of Formation and Physico-Mechanical Properties of the Fluvioglacial Deposits of Belarus as Ground Strata

The article presents the information of particular conditions of formation and physicomechanical properties of fluvioglacial deposits of Belarus. Deposits mineral and petrographic composition found to be similar to those in moraine formations, because they were formed as result of erosion of the moraine material by thawing glacial streams. They comprises of the large variety of granulometric types from gravel-pebble to sandy loam with the predominance of sands. They are characterized by significant lateral and depth variability. In general, fluvioglacial soils have the acceptable geotechnical properties and may serve as a good base for different engineering constructions of any class of responsibility
