    Memristive Cluster Based Compact High-Density Nonvolatile Memory Design and Application for Image Storage

In this paper, a 4-bit high-density nonvolatile memory based on a memristor is designed and applied to image storage. Firstly, a memristor cluster structure consisting of a transistor and four memristors is designed. Furthermore, the memristor cluster is used as a memory cell in the crossbar array structure to realize the memory design. In addition, when the designed non-volatile memory is applied to gray scale image storage, only two memory cells are needed for the storage of one pixel. Through the Pspice circuit simulation, the results show that compared with the state-of-the-art technology, the memory designed in this paper has better storage density and read–write speed. When it is applied to image storage, it achieves the effect of no distortion and fast storage.Peer reviewe

    Research on the Protection and Utilisation Design Strategy of Hangzhou Traditional Villages on “Three Rivers and Two Banks” from the Perspective of Clusters

    At the beginning of 2023, Hangzhou launched the "Poetry Road Culture - Three Rivers and Two Banks" Water Golden Tourism Line Project, aimed at revitalizing the countryside in the western part of Hangzhou and creating a model area of common wealth. This article integrates natural and cultural resources on "Three Rivers and Two Banks" in Hangzhou, using kernel density analysis, proximity analysis, and weighted spatial superposition analysis of ArcGIS 10.8 software to classify the traditional villages on "Three Rivers and Two Banks" in Hangzhou into high-resource characteristic villages, intermediate resource characteristic villages, and general resource characteristic villages based on the distribution of resource characteristics. Finally, the traditional villages are examined within a systematic geographical framework to explore the establishment of traditional village cluster protection and development modes and methods. Strategies such as historical excavation, cluster construction, culture and tourism integration are proposed to achieve the goal of coordinating the rational allocation of regional resources, facilitating facility sharing, enhancing the endogenous dynamics of traditional villages, and forming distinctive village brand and cultural groups.     Exosomes in pathogenesis, diagnosis, and therapy of ischemic stroke

    Ischemic stroke is one of the major contributors to death and disability worldwide. Thus, there is an urgent need to develop early brain tissue perfusion therapies following acute stroke and to enhance functional recovery in stroke survivors. The morbidity, therapy, and recovery processes are highly orchestrated interactions involving the brain with other tissues. Exosomes are natural and ideal mediators of intercellular information transfer and recognized as biomarkers for disease diagnosis and prognosis. Changes in exosome contents express throughout the physiological process. Accumulating evidence demonstrates the use of exosomes in exploring unknown cellular and molecular mechanisms of intercellular communication and organ homeostasis and indicates their potential role in ischemic stroke. Inspired by the unique properties of exosomes, this review focuses on the communication, diagnosis, and therapeutic role of various derived exosomes, and their development and challenges for the treatment of cerebral ischemic stroke

    Comparative Effectiveness of the Deqi Sensation and Non-Deqi by Moxibustion Stimulation: A Multicenter Prospective Cohort Study in the Treatment of Knee Osteoarthritis

    Substantial evidence has supported that moxibustion stimulates a unique phenomenon of Deqi, heat-sensitive moxibustion sensation. This study consisted of a multicenter, prospective cohort study with two parallel arms (A: heat-sensitive moxibustion sensation group; B: nonheat-sensitive moxibustion sensation group). All forms of moxibustion were applied unilaterally on the right leg with a triangle shape of three acupuncture points simultaneously (bilateral Xi Yan (EX-LE5) and He Ding (EX-LE2)). After one month the primary outcome parameter GPCRND-KOA showed significant differences between groups: trial group 5.23 ± 2.65 (adjusted mean ± SE) 95% CI [4.44~6.01] versus control group 7.43 ± 2.80 [6.59~8.26], P=0.0001. Significant differences were manifested in total M-JOA score during the follow-up period (P=0.0006). Mean knee circumference indicated significant difference between the groups (P=0.03; P=0.007). Overall, this evidence suggested that the effectiveness of the Deqi sensation group might be more superior than the non-Deqi sensation one in the treatment of KOA. This study was aimed at providing scientific evidence on the Deqi sensation of moxibustion and at showing that heat-sensitive moxibustion sensation is essential to achieve the preferable treatment effects of KOA

    A 3-Arm, Randomized, Controlled Trial of Heat-Sensitive Moxibustion Therapy to Determine Superior Effect among Patients with Lumbar Disc Herniation

    Systematic reviews of moxibustion for LDH have identified ponderable evidence, especially for heat-sensitive moxibustion (HSM). Therefore, we designed and carried out the large sample trial to evaluate it. 456 patients were recruited from 4 centers in China and were randomly divided into three groups by the ratio of 1 : 1 : 1 to HSM (152) group, conventional moxibustion (152) group, and conventional drug plus acupuncture (152) group. Compared with usual care, there was a statistically significant reduction in mean M-JOA score at 2 weeks and 6 months for HSM (3.8 ± 2.6 versus 8.5 ± 2.9; 3.7 ± 2.2 versus 10.1 ± 2.9) and conventional moxibustion (7.9 ± 3.0 versus 8.5 ± 2.9; 8.9 ± 3.1 versus 10.1 ± 2.9). Compared with conventional moxibustion group, HSM group showed greater improvement in all the outcomes. The mean dose of moxibustion was 41.13 ± 5.26 (range 21–60) minutes in the HSM group. We found that HSM was more effective in treating patients with LDH, compared with conventional moxibustion and conventional drug plus acupuncture. This finding indicated that the application of moxibustion on the heat-sensitive points is a good moxibustion technique in treating disease

    High-throughput Sequencing Analysis of Diversity and Spatial Heterogeneity of Fungal Community in Pit Muds of Different Ages for Baijiu Production

    The fungal community structure, the relationship between fungal flora and physicochemical factors, and the prediction of fungal function in pit muds from different spatial positions of 10- and 50-year-old cellars at Jinhui liquor Co. Ltd. were studied by using Illumina NovaSeq high-throughput sequencing, redundancy analysis and Fungi Functional Guild (FUNGuild). The results showed that the fungal diversity and richness of the 10-year-old pit mud decreased with increasing depth; the fungal diversity of the 50-year-old pit mud showed an overall increasing trend, while the fungal richness initially decrease and then increased. Moreover, for the 10-year-old pit, the fungal diversity and richness of the upper layer of the pit wall were significantly higher than those of the other positions (P < 0.05), while for the 50-year-old cellar, the fungal diversity and richness of the bottom layer were significantly higher than those of the other locations (P < 0.05). The fungal diversity and richness were significantly higher in the wall of the 10-year-old cellar than the 50-year-old cellar (P < 0.05), but were significantly higher in the bottom of the 50-year-old cellar than the 10-year-old cellar (P < 0.05). A total of 21 fungal phyla and 520 genera were detected in all pit mud samples, the relative abundance of four dominant phyla (Ascomycota, Basidiomycota, Mortierellomycota and Rozellomycota) and most dominant genera such as Aspergillus and Kazachstania showed significant changes among pit ages and spatial locations (P < 0.05). Fusarium, Aspergillus, Saccharomyces and Monascus were positively correlated with the contents of water, humus, K+ and Ca2+, while Cladosporium and Vishniacozyma were positively correlated with pH. Seven nutritional modes of fungi were observed, mainly including saprophytic and pathological-saprophytic-symbiotic nutritional modes, and four single and seven mixed functional groups were determined.     Efficient Data Transfer and Multi-Bit Multiplier Design in Processing in Memory

The execution efficiency of logical computation and in-memory data transmission is crucial for Processing in Memory. This paper presents a design scheme for data transmission and multi-bit multipliers within MAT (a data storage set in MPU) based on the memristive alternating crossbar array structure. Firstly, to improve the data transfer efficiency, we reserve the edge row and column of the array as assistant cells for OR AND (OA) and AND data transmission logic operations to reduce the data transfer steps. Furthermore, we convert the multipliers into multi-bit addition operations via Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) logical operations, which effectively improves the execution efficiency of multipliers. PSpice simulation shows that the proposed data transmission and multi-bit multiplier solution has lower latency and power consumption and higher efficiency and flexibility.Peer reviewe

    Mediating role of psychological distress in the associations between medical errors, adverse events, suicidal ideation and plan among operating room nurses in China: a cross-sectional study

    Objectives Medical errors (MEs) and adverse events (AEs) both had long-term impacts on healthcare professionals. Studies investigated the associations between MEs, AEs, psychological distress and suicidal behaviours among healthcare professionals. The aim of the current study was to explore the mediating role of psychological distress in the relationship between MEs/AEs and suicidal ideation/suicide plan among operating room nurses in China.Design A cross-sectional study.Setting The survey was conducted between December 2021 and January 2022 in China.Participants A total of 787 operating room nurses completed the questionnaires in China.Primary and secondary outcome measures The primary outcome measures were MEs and AEs. Secondary outcome measures were psychological distress and suicidal behaviours.Results The results showed that 22.1% of operating room nurses were involved in MEs, while 13.9% of operating room nurses were involved in AEs. The associations between suicidal ideation (OR=1.10, p&lt;0.001), suicide plan (OR=1.07, p&lt;0.01) and psychological distress were significant. The associations between suicidal ideation (OR=2.76, 95% CI=1.53 to 4.97, p&lt;0.01), suicide plan (OR=2.80, 95% CI=1.20 to 6.56, p&lt;0.05) and MEs were significant. The associations between suicidal ideation (OR=2.27, 95% CI=1.17 to 4.40, p&lt;0.05), suicide plan (OR=2.92, 95% CI=1.19 to 7.18, p&lt;0.05) and AEs were significant. The psychological distress mediated the relationship between MEs/AEs and suicidal ideation/suicide plan.Conclusion There were positive associations between MEs, AEs and psychological distress. Moreover, MEs and AEs were also positively associated with suicidal ideation and suicide plan. As expected, psychological distress played an important role in the relationship between MEs/AEs and suicidal ideation/suicide plan

    Acetylated Proteomics of UV-B Stress-Responsive in Photosystem II of <i>Rhododendron chrysanthum</i>

    Rhododendron chrysanthum (Rhododendron chrysanthum Pall.), an alpine plant, has developed UV-B resistance mechanisms and has grown to be an important plant resource with the responsive capacity of UV-B stress. Our study uses acetylated proteomics and proteome analysis, together with physiological measurement, to show the Rhododendron chrysanthum seedling’s reaction to UV-B stress. Following a 2-day, 8-h radiation therapy, 807 significantly altered proteins and 685 significantly altered acetylated proteins were discovered. Significantly altered proteins and acetylated proteins, according to COG analysis, were mostly engaged in post-translational modification, protein turnover, and chaperone under UV-B stress. It indicates that protein acetylation modification plays an important role in plant resistance to UV-B. The experimental results show that photosynthesis was inhibited under UV-B stress, but some photosynthetic proteins will undergo acetylation modification, which can alleviate the UV-B damage of plants to a certain extent. These results will serve as the basis for more research into the intricate molecular mechanisms underlying plant UV-B adaptation
