    Online consumer purchasing behaviour is refers to the decision-making process and behaviors of people interested in the buy and use of products. Online purchasing behaviour online is an analysis of how consumers purchase, what they purchase, and why they purchase things online. Online consumer purchasing behavior can be influenced by many factors. Characteristics of endorser is one of those factors. Characteristics of endorser are attributes that usually called as TEARS model which represent the five attributes associated with the general attributes of endorser towards the target market. Every consumen can have different perspective towards online purchasing behavior. Hence, this study is conducted to examine the influence of characteristics of endorser towards online consumer purchasing behavior. Dimensions of characteristics of endorser that are used in this study are trustworthiness, expertise, attractiveness, respect, and similarity. A total of 201 respondents that fulfil the criteria as an Instagram user and an active student in Faculty of Communication, Sumbawa University of Technology have participated in this study. Multiple Regression Analysis was performed to test the research hypothesis. Results of this finding revealed that trustworthiness and similarity have a significant positive influence on online consumer purchasing behavior. While for expertise, attractiveness, and respect doesn’t have a significant positive influence on online consumer purchasing behavior. Besides that, there is no significant difference in jenis kelamin towards online consumer purchasing behavior. Keywords: online consumer purchasing behavior, characteristic of endorser

    Exploring the pattern of internal communication in total quality management implementation in manufacturing companies

    Communication is an important aspect of organizational dynamic process and it is irrefutable one of the critical success factors of the Total Quality Management (TQM) implementation. Although there are increasing awareness concerning the importance of internal organizational communication, knowledge appears to have rarely translated into practice or there is lack of guidance to effectively practicing it.Therefore, a study was proposed to investigate the pattern of internal communication practice in TQM implementation.This paper concerns on focusing into internal communication practices in TQM implementation factors and the communication patterns in terms of message forms and mediums of communication to convey TQM messages.Reliability and Factor analysis were carried out to confirm items that form each factor in internal communication in TQM implementation.Based on the analysis of survey questionnaires distributed to 104 large manufacturing companies implementing TQM in Malaysia, it was found that there are certain communication patterns practice by the management when conveying and disseminating TQM messages, but they have no specific guidelines.Therefore, the internal communication practices are not well planned.Finally, it is suggested that further research should be carried out to explain clearly the role and strategy of communication on this issue in order to boost the success of TQM implementation particularly in manufacturing company

    Development and validation of Malaysian communication style instrument

    The Malaysian Malay Communication Style (MMCS) formulated by Che Su and Hassan (2010) was developed to measure specific Malay communication characteristics in the workplace.We extended this work by using structural equation modelling to determine the factor structure of the 60-item version of the MMCS.Based on a sample of 320 employees, we found eight stable dimensions which measure communication style among Malay employees in Malaysian contexts. Moreover, scores on the scale developed to measure the MMCS criteria yielded excellent validity and reliability estimates.This study provided and presented insights and further understanding of communication style from the indigenous perspective, which allows practitioners to gain in-depth knowledge about the implementation of organizational communication in an organization.The implications of this research were discussed
