Coupled Breathing Oscillations of Two-Component Fermion Condensates in Deformed Traps
We investigate collective excitations coupled with monopole and quadrupole
oscillations in two-component fermion condensates in deformed traps. The
frequencies of monopole and dipole modes are calculated using Thomas-Fermi
theory and the scaling approximation. When the trap is largely deformed, these
collective motions are decoupled to the transverse and longitudinal breathing
oscillation modes. As the trap approaches becoming spherical, however, they are
coupled and show complicated behaviors.Comment: 18 pages and 8 figure
Breathing Oscillations in Bose - Fermi Mixing Gases with Yb atoms in the Largely Prolate Deformed Traps
We study the breathing oscillations in bose-fermi mixtures with Yb isotopes
in the largely prolate deformed trap, which are realized by Kyoto group. We
choose the three combinations of the Yb isotopes, Yb170-Yb171, Yb170-Yb173 and
Yb174-Yb173, whose boson-fermion interactions are weakly repulsive, strongly
attractive and strongly repulsive. The collective oscillations in the deformed
trap are calculated in the dynamical time-development approach, which is
formulated with the time-dependent Gross-Pitaevskii and the Vlasov equations.
We analyze the results in the time-development approach with the intrinsic
oscillation modes of the deformed system, which are obtained using the scaling
method, and show that the damping and forced-oscillation effects of the
intrinsic modes give time-variation of oscillations, especially, in the fermion
transverse mode.Comment: 27 pages, 12 figure
Online Self-Indexed Grammar Compression
Although several grammar-based self-indexes have been proposed thus far,
their applicability is limited to offline settings where whole input texts are
prepared, thus requiring to rebuild index structures for given additional
inputs, which is often the case in the big data era. In this paper, we present
the first online self-indexed grammar compression named OESP-index that can
gradually build the index structure by reading input characters one-by-one.
Such a property is another advantage which enables saving a working space for
construction, because we do not need to store input texts in memory. We
experimentally test OESP-index on the ability to build index structures and
search query texts, and we show OESP-index's efficiency, especially
space-efficiency for building index structures.Comment: To appear in the Proceedings of the 22nd edition of the International

Incommensurate Matrix Product State for Quantum Spin Systems
We introduce a matrix product state (MPS) with an incommensurate periodicity
by applying the spin-rotation operator of each site to a uniform MPS in the
thermodynamic limit. The spin rotations decrease the variational energy with
accompanying translational symmetry breaking and the rotational symmetry
breaking in the spin space even if the Hamiltonian has the both symmetries. The
optimized pitch of rotational operator reflects the commensurate/incommensurate
properties of spin-spin correlation functions in the Heisenberg chain
and the ferro-antiferro zigzag chain.Comment: 6 pages, 5 figure
Dipole Oscillations in Bose - Fermi Mixture in the Time-Dependent Grosspitaevskii and Vlasov equations
We study the dipole collective oscillations in the bose-fermi mixture using a
dynamical time-dependent approach, which are formulated with the time-dependent
Gross-Pitaevskii equation and the Vlasov equation. We find big difference in
behaviors of fermion oscillation between the time-dependent approach and usual
approaches such as the random-phase approximation and the sum-rule approach.
While the bose gas oscillates monotonously, the fermion oscillation shows a
beat and a damping. When the amplitude is not minimal, the dipole oscillation
of the fermi gas cannot be described with a simple center-of-mass motion.Comment: 17 pages text, and 15 figure
Online Pattern Matching for String Edit Distance with Moves
Edit distance with moves (EDM) is a string-to-string distance measure that
includes substring moves in addition to ordinal editing operations to turn one
string to the other. Although optimizing EDM is intractable, it has many
applications especially in error detections. Edit sensitive parsing (ESP) is an
efficient parsing algorithm that guarantees an upper bound of parsing
discrepancies between different appearances of the same substrings in a string.
ESP can be used for computing an approximate EDM as the L1 distance between
characteristic vectors built by node labels in parsing trees. However, ESP is
not applicable to a streaming text data where a whole text is unknown in
advance. We present an online ESP (OESP) that enables an online pattern
matching for EDM. OESP builds a parse tree for a streaming text and computes
the L1 distance between characteristic vectors in an online manner. For the
space-efficient computation of EDM, OESP directly encodes the parse tree into a
succinct representation by leveraging the idea behind recent results of a
dynamic succinct tree. We experimentally test OESP on the ability to compute
EDM in an online manner on benchmark datasets, and we show OESP's efficiency.Comment: This paper has been accepted to the 21st edition of the International

Isoscalar Giant Quadrupole Resonance State in the Relativistic Approach with the Momentum-Dependent Self-Energies
We study the excited energy of the isoscalar giant quadrupole resonance with
the scaling method in the relativistic many-body framework. In this calculation
we introduce the momentum-dependent parts of the Dirac self-energies arising
from the one-pion exchange on the assumption of the pseudo-vector coupling with
nucleon field. It is shown that this momentum-dependence enhances the Landau
mass significantly and thus suppresses the quadrupole resonance energy even
giving the small Dirac effective mass which causes a problem in the
momentum-independent mean-field theory.Comment: 12pages, 2 Postscript figure
