The interaction of dyons in the mean field approximation
The interaction of dyons in the mean field approximation is considered. The
result of interaction is the mass term for dyonic field in the effective
Lagrangian. Due to the mass term the profile function of dyon falls off
exponentially at large distances.Comment: 4 pages, Late
Temporal characterization of rock dynamic destruction
Dynamic strength tests published in literature have been analysed by structuraltemporal damage criteria. Parameter τ - incubation time - describing material stability behaviour under high-rate influences have been estimated for Kimachi sandstone, Inada granite and Tage tuff. Two types of dynamic tensile experiments have been used: split Hopkinson pressure bar and spalling. Purely dynamic effect of fracture delay have been observed in the case of Kimachi sandstone and discussed
Light quark mass ratio from Dalitz plot of decay
High statistics Dalitz-plot distribution of decay
obtained recently by KLOE collaboration \cite{kloe} is fitted to the results of
corresponding theoretical calculations in Chiral Perturbation Theory (ChPT)
with unitarity corrections taken into account. The quark mass ratio can be otained from this
analysis. We get which differs from the value
that follows from Dashen's theorem and agrees with recently calculated
electromagnetic kaon mass difference.Comment: 2 pages, no figure
Once more on electromagnetic form factors of nucleons in extended vector meson dominance model
Extended vector meson dominance model, that allows to describe the
electromagnetic form factors of nucleons obeying the asymptotic quark counting
rule prescriptions and contains the minimal number of free parameters, is
presented. We get a reasonable fit of form factors over experimentally
available space-like region of momentum transfer and get also reasonable
results in the time-like region.Comment: 7 pages, 2 figure
On the method of determination of level of social activity of veterans in provinces of the Roman Empire (the case of Lower Moesia)
Active involvement of army veterans in local governance and religious life of provincial towns and villages of the Roman Empire is generally determined as the ratio of number of retired soldiers who were magistrates and priests to the total number of veterans, known from all the inscriptions found on the territory of a province. In the opinion of the author, this approach may lead to a misperception of this aspect of the former soldiers’ life and consequently needs to be revised. This paper presents an alternative method of resolving the problem and outlines perspectives for its practical application on the example of material relating to the province of Lower Moesia.Active involvement of army veterans in local governance and religious life of provincial towns and villages of the Roman Empire is generally determined as the ratio of number of retired soldiers who were magistrates and priests to the total number of veterans, known from all the inscriptions found on the territory of a province.
