This work analyses a strategy used in Queretaro by an assembly plant, which molds polymer pieces for the industry, in its process of negotiation with the working union to make collective bargaining agreement flexible for the workers, with the purpose to widen the competitive possibilities of the plant in the national and international markets. Subjective implications were reviewed in the different moments of conflict, the final agreement, the impact in the working relations of the enterprise and the roles of the participants when facing the decision making. The documents of the enterprise were revised. The field work consisted in visits to the plant, attendance to the board meetings and gatherings where the general CEO and the workers met. The participants were interviewed in order to reconstruct the negotiation dynamic so the subjective interactions could be interpreted

CASH FLOW PLANNING AND OPTIMIZATION THROUGH GENETIC ALGRORITMS

This article describes an intelligent system for financial planning and cashflow optimization named ICF: Intelligent Cash Flow. ICF is a computational tool for decision support which provides short-term and long-term financial managing strategies, considering financial products of the market. The ICF system makes use of Genetic Algorithms to elaborate cash flow projections which improve the company's profit for a specific period. ICF helps to deal with the complex aspects of cash flow planning: the large number of alternatives to consider, i. e. the mix of investments which offer the higher profit rates over a period; the intensive numerical processing involved; the dynamic changes in the Financial Market (e.g. rates, terms and tax regulations); and the changes in the company's daily financial position. The ICF system integrates two models: the financial and the genetic models. The financial model is used to calculate the cash flow profitability, based on the IDC (Interbank Deposit Certificate), by projecting profits and taxes for each kind of investment, for any term in the considered period. The genetic model, on the other hand, is used to search for cash flow plannings which promote profitability and liquidity. The chromosome of the ICF genetic model consists of n genes. Each gene stands for a day in the considered period and has four fields. The first two identify an investment option and its term; the last two identify a resource taking option and its term. For each analyzed day, only two of these fields are used, which depends whether the operational balance is positive or negative that day.According to the Evolutionary Computation theory, problems such as the optimization of the cash flow are highly epistatic, which means that there is a strong interdependency between genes of the respective representation (for example, the investment on day d depends on the availability of financial resources that day, which can be due to the redemption made on day d-n). Such genes consist of genetic patterns that can be set apart by the crossover operator. In order to deal with the epistasy in this problem, the chromosome has been adapted in way that each gene is represented by its allele and by its locus (position in the chromosome). This kind of representation has the objective to relax the positional rigidity of the genes, increasing the chances of distant interdependent genes to come closer to each other. Thus, genetic patterns with high fitness have more chances to proliferate in forthcoming generations. To manipulate this chromosome structure we have employed an extension of the partially-mapped crossover (PMX) operator proposed by Goldberg, which explores important similarities of value and order simultaneously. The mutation operator applied in the ICF implements a random choice of a gene (day) and the random assignment of a new term and a new type of financial application (investment or loan). The fitness function calculates the liquid returns (profit or tax) of each suggested application/loan for each day in the considered period, projected to the last day of the same. A more satisfactory planning is obtained by finding the maximum return value to this function.ICF has been tested and is currently in use by a Brazilian company. The model manages to find cash flow plannings which present profits, in average, 38% higher during evolution, making evident the importance of a such decision-supporting system. Comparing to the random search, the ICF in average leads to profits 50% higher. Many experiments were made for different periods of the year. The results show that the profitability is obviously affected by the company's operational balance, but it is also strongly influenced by the planning strategy. In this point, the ICF was capable of identifying strategies, with matched operations of application and redemption, which increased the cashbox in days of the flow, in which there was the option of highly profitable investments.

Depression is one of the main risk factors for suicide. However, little is known about the intricate relationships among depressive symptomatology in unipolar depression, suicide risk, and the characteristics of executive dysfunction in depressed patients. We compared 20 non-psychotic unipolar depressed suicide attempters to 20 matching depressed non-attempters and to 20 healthy controls to further investigate the possible differences in neuropsychological performance. Depressed subjects were controlled for current suicidal ideation, and their neuropsychological profile was assessed using a range of measures of executive functioning, attention, verbal memory, processing speed, and psychomotor speed. Depressed groups were outperformed by healthy controls. Depressed attempters presented more cognitive impairment than depressed non-attempters on a simple Go/No-go response inhibition task and performed better than non-attempters on the Tower of London planning task. Depressed attempters were clearly distinguished by a deficit in response inhibition (Go/No-go commission errors). The normative planning performance (Tower of London extra moves) of the suicide attempters was unexpected, and this unanticipated finding calls for further research. Normative planning may indicate an increased risk of suicidal behavior.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio

MOGA 4WD: multi-objective genetic algorithm for four-wheel drive electrical vehicle torque distribution in challenging conditions: MOGA 4WD: algoritmo genético multi-objetivo para distribuição de torque em veículos elétricos com tração em quatro rodas e em condições desafiadoras

This article aims to present a strategy for multi-objective optimization based on torque distribution for electrical 4WD (four-wheel drive) vehicles. By considering applications on uneven terrain, common to the navigation of tractors, off-road vehicles, or even mobile robots, an algorithm is developed having as input the vehicle attitude and output the controlled torque on each actuated wheel. The main criterion adopted is to guarantee the execution of a stable trajectory. And, to avoid wheel slippage, which occurs when low torques are applied, as well as vehicle rollover, which can occur in the presence of high torques, it is necessary to use two objective functions. To find the Pareto optimal solutions, the simplified dynamic model of a vehicle is adopted, considering a quasi-static motion. For each vehicle, its electrical, mechanical, and geometric characteristics can be used as formulation constraints. From an optimization performed offline, and adopting a polynomial approximation-based approach for real-time application, simulations and experiments show an interesting behavior: solutions that go beyond allowing the ascent of simple ramps or the overcoming of smooth obstacles are found - it is possible, for example, to climb ramps with high slopes, taking the vehicle to the limit between stability and instability

Em suma, os resultados apresentaram melhorias consideráveis nos aspetos psicomotores avaliados (coordenação, lateralidade, esquema corporal, respiração, e noção do corpo).Chapter 1 The teaching practice is a key learning space in the formation and development of a teacher. It is also a moment of complicity and sharing educational because we learn new skills and share with others our own. This report refers to the teaching practice I developed in high school Quinta das Palmeiras, in the beautiful city of Covilhã, the main objective report and reflect on the activities carried out under the stage itself. Our training group was composed of three interns and supervised by two scientific advisors and a cooperating advisor covering several policy areas such as teaching practice, integration activities in the middle, intervention activities in the educational community and scientific-pedagogical activities. Considering that teaching practice is the most important area of intervention from the addressed was this that most worked throughout the year. Being aware that the intervention of a teacher at school is much more than teaching practice were developed other activities so there would be more development capabilities. Some of the activities such as the "Frisbee Day" or "Run & Colour Party Palmeiras" are examples of activities in the integration of the environment and intervention in the educational community. Already the project "Hug and Body in Motion" allowed to acquire skills in scientific and pedagogical activities. All these activities and integrated into the teaching practice were of extreme importance to me that I propose to be a physical education teacher. This stage was an opportunity to be in touch with what I will encounter in the future labor market but with the advantage of being oriented, which leveraged a more coherent and consistent learning preparing to exercise fully my duties as a teacher. Double fermiophobic Higgs boson production at the LHC and LC

We consider the phenomenology of a fermiophobic Higgs boson (h_f) at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and a e+e- Linear Collider (LC). At both machines the standard production mechanisms which rely on the coupling h_fVV (V=W,Z) can be very suppressed at large tan beta. In such cases the complementary channels pp to H^\pm h_f, A^0 h_f and e+e- to A^0 h_f offer promising cross-sections. Together with the potentially large branching ratios for H^\pm to h_fW* and A^0 to h_fZ*, these mechanisms would give rise to double h_f production, leading to signatures of gamma gamma gamma gamma, gamma gamma VV and VVVV.Comment: 19 pages, 9 figures, expanded discussion, fig.1 changed slightly, version to appear in Phys.Rev.

The pandemic caused by the SARS-COV2 virus, known as COVID-19 brought with it a series of challenges for educational and teaching institutions, since, from one moment to the next, the need for a massive migration from face-to-face education to online education, using educational technological tools, however, is considered that it is necessary to restructure teaching and implement a blenden learning model, which is characterized by the integration of various pedagogical and didactic resources in face-to-face and virtual environments to achieve meaningful learning through the construction of knowledge in subjects that are the basis for many careers in the health sciences such as Chemistry. The objective of this study was to analyze the relevance of implementing a hybrid model in education at the high school level in the Chemistry class, through the incorporation of Information and Communication Technologies as educational tools. According to the results, the implementation of a b-learning model is an alternative strategy for the teaching-learning of Chemistry and, at the same time, makes it possible to reduce the health risk that situations such as contagion by COVID-19 or other potentially communicable diseases, since this model allows students to take classes virtually, and simultaneously in person, following contingency measures
