LA VALUTAZIONE DELLE POTENZIALITĂ€ TERRITORIALI ATTRAVERSO UN APPROCCIO MULTIDIMENSIONALE PER LE AREE INTERNE

In Italy, fragile territories are often characterized by depopulation, degrade and minimal essential services; according to different definitions, they’re also called marginal areas, inland areas, peripheral areas and from 2013 inner areas. In recent years, a national policy funded 72 pilot cases to enhance territorial potential to resiliently counteract the demographic decline and the socio-economic weaknesses. With the aim of standardizing an evaluation methodology, the paper started from an in-depth literature review, highlighting that territorial vulnerability and vibrancy are never explored in non-urban contexts. In order to close this gap, authors propose a multidimensional methodological approach consisting of six-step-quantitative analyses based on specific dimensions and indicators. Shifting from the vulnerability approach, the use of different analytical and evaluation tools is suggested to explore territorial vibrancy as local development trigger. The results showed that the proposed approach can clearly support the territory exploration and lead to the development of enhancement policies in fragile areas as those analyzed in the context of the “Branding4Resilience” research project

DNAJB9 Is a Reliable Immunohistochemical Marker of Fibrillary Glomerulonephritis: Evaluation of Diagnostic Efficacy in a Large Series of Kidney Biopsies

Fibrillary glomerulonephritis (FGN) is a rare glomerular disease characterized by a challenging diagnostic workup requiring ultrastructural identification of 20 nm-thick randomly oriented fibrillar deposits. However, the recent introduction of DNAJB9 as a putative diagnostic marker of FGN could thoroughly improve this diagnostic scenario. This study aims to assess the DNAJB9 immunohistochemical expression in a large series of FGN cases and to eventually confirm its role as a diagnostic marker of FGN. We evaluated the immunohistochemical expression of DNAJB9 (Rabbit Polyclonal, ThermoFisher) in a series of 77 FGN and 128 non-FGN cases diagnosed between January 1992 and June 2022 at the Pathology Unit of the AOU CittĂ  della Salute e della Scienza Hospital. DNAJB9 was expressed in 73 of the 74 evaluable FGN cases, mostly showing a strong glomerular positivity (68 cases). Additionally, DNAJB9 resulted positive in all challenging scenarios [early-stage (6), congophilic (4), combined (4), and uncertain (4) cases of FGN)]. DNAJB9 was negative in all non-FGN cases, eventually resulting in a specificity of 100% and sensitivity of 99%. In conclusion, we confirmed the role of DNAJB9 as a diagnostic marker of FGN. Its adoption in the clinical routine will allow a faster, more feasible, and more accurate FGN diagnosis

The Impact of Social Enterprises: A Bibliometric Analysis From 1991 to 2020

The aim of this work is to provide, through a bibliometric analysis of the last 30 years of thematic literature, an overview on the contribution of social enterprises to the achievement of global goals. A bibliometric method has been used to analyze the characteristics, citation patterns and content of 3318 documents published in international academic journals, books review and chapters, editorial material and proceedings papers. Considering our findings, the bibliometric analysis has shown that there are journals that have had a greater production on the topic with an impact on research. Thanks to the work of the most impactful authors, it emerges that the case study is the most used method to demonstrate the centrality of social enterprises in social innovation. The analysis also shows that the centrality of the themes is linked to innovation, impact, management and performance, demonstrating the assumption that the driver of innovation in terms of social impact is given by these types of companies. The research also shows the keyword evolution through the years. Through the coding activity, it has also been possible to demonstrate that by transposing the global sustainability objectives to the local that the more in-depth ones are addressed on the issues of sustainable economy and fair, responsible and sustainable innovation, while there is much shortcoming regarding the achievement of gender equality, sustainable water management but even more on the reduction of inequality between nations. The latter is probably conditioned by the more global target and therefore not easily approachable to social enterprises
