Status of (3686), (4040), (4160), Y (4260), (4415) and X (4630) charmonia like states
We examine the status of charmonia like states by looking into the behaviour
of the energy level differences and regularity in the behaviour of the leptonic
decay widths of the excited charmonia states. The spectroscopic states are
studied using a phenomenological Martin-like confinement potential and their
radial wave functions are employed to compute the di-leptonic decay widths.
Their deviations from the expected behaviour provide a clue to consider them as
admixtures of the nearby S and D states. The present analysis strongly favour

admixture state
Hurler syndrome-a case report of infrequently encountered diagnosis
Hurler syndrome also known as mucopolysaccharidosis type 1H (MPS-1H) or gargoylism is an autosomal recessive disorder due to defective gene which encodes for enzyme alpha L-iduronidase (IUDA) located on chromosome 4p16.3 (gene encoding protein iduronidase). In the present case, 4-year Down’s syndrome child with coarse facial features, hypothyroidism presented with umbilical hernia. Clinical diagnosis of Hurler syndrome was made corelating with clinical features, X-ray findings
Histopathological study of pancreatobiliary tumors in a tertiary care center: a 7 year study
Background: The aim of this study was to comprehensively analyse the histopathological spectrum of pancreatobiliary tumors with special reference to ampulla of Vater. Methods: The retrospective study was done for 5 years and a prospective study was carried out for 2 years in the Department of Pathology. Results: A total of 110 cases were included; 103 underwent a standard Whipple procedure and 7 underwent localised resection (partial pancreatectomy). The average age was 52.64 years (16-80 years) and males outnumbered females (3:2). Malignant (93.63%) lesions outweighed benign lesions (6.36%). Among malignant lesions, 71 (68.93%) were peri-ampullary, 15 (14.56%) were pancreatic, 11 (10.67%) were duodenal and only 6 (5.825%) were cholangiocarcinoma. The most common presenting feature was jaundice followed by pain in the abdomen. The mean tumor size was 2.38 cm (0.5-15cm). The pathological stage of most of the tumors was T2 (58.2%), followed by T3 (22.7%), T1 (11.8%) and T4 was only 1.8%. Proximal duodenal resection margin was free in 90.9%, distal duodenal resection margin was free in all cases, CBD resection margin was involved in only 2 cases (1.8%), while the pancreatic duct resection margin was involved in 2.7%. The nodal status was N0 in 61.8%, N1 in 23.6% and Nx in 9.1%.Conclusions: Adenocarcinoma (well differentiated-47.3%) is the most common histological variant of pancreatobiliary region
Arrival / departure : architecture of dislocation
Thesis (M. Arch.)--Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Dept. of Architecture, 2002.Includes bibliographical references (p. 76-77).Our identities are defined by a qualitative set of parameters that are at once universal and site specific. We are, as an old saying puts it, "products of our environment." Our knowledge and our beings are constantly being tested and changed through our interactions, both physical and cerebral, in our environments. Historically this sphere of influence was rather narrow, but as technology and travel have increased, environments have become fragmented; they no longer have clear edges, are discontinuous, and above all, are always changing. I am at once a product of where I live, where my parents lived, where I study, what I have read about, where I have traveled, and where I dream to be. I consequently have many homes, many anchors, and many points of reference. The following architectural thesis investigations study architectural responses to the complexity of the conditions created in individuals and communities through the modern migratory process. Using the theme of ambivalence (the coexistence of opposing attitudes or feelings), this thesis addresses many independent and overlapping issues of identity and migration from both the scale of object and architecture. The thesis posits the question: is an architectural infrastructure possible that can allow for communication between migrants and local communities and between migrants themselves that can span time, language, and space? And can such infrastructure protect ethnicity while still allowing to be shared?by Manan H. Shah.M.Arch
Status of quarkonia - like negative and positive parity states in a relativistic confinement scheme
Properties of quarkonia - like states in the charm and bottom sector have
been studied in the frame work of relativistic Dirac formalism with a linear
confinement potential. We have computed the mass spectroscopy and decay
properties (vector decay constant and leptonic decay width) of several
quarkonia - like states. Present study is also intended to identify some of the
unexplained states as mixed P-wave and mixed S-D wave states of Charmonia and
Bottomonia. The results indicate that the X(4140) state can be an admixture of
two P states of charmonium. And the charmonium like states X(4630) and X(4660)
are the admixed state of S - D waves. Similarly, the state recently
reported by Belle II can be a mixed P - states of bottomonium. In the
relativistic framework we have computed vector decay constant and the leptonic
decay width for S wave charmonium and bottomonium. The leptonic decay width for
the mixed states are also predicted. Further, both the masses
and the leptonic decay width are considered for the identification of the
quarkonia-like states.Comment: 14 pages, 2 figure
