El reto de vincular reputación online de destinos turísticos con competitividad
The aim of this study is to evidence how 2.0 conversations in social media impact the reputation of destinations. Additionally, the influence of co-creation practices is analysed. The five most competitive destinations worldwide have been chosen for the research. This paper demonstrates that monitoring social media is a challenge in tourism and is a strategic tool to support process decision making and for destination brand building in a sustainable way. Currently, there are several monitoring and analytic tools, but there is a lack of models to systematise and harness it for the Destination Management Organization (DMOs). In conclusion, how tourists play the main role in the competitiveness of Destinations with their experiences and opinions are considered, along with some keys for successful management of social media are given in the view of the results.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio
Searching for signatures of planet formation in stars with circumstellar debris discs
(Abridged) Tentative correlations between the presence of dusty debris discs
and low-mass planets have been presented. In parallel, detailed chemical
abundance studies have reported different trends between samples of planet and
non-planet hosts. We determine in a homogeneous way the metallicity, and
abundances of a sample of 251 stars including stars with known debris discs,
with debris discs and planets, and only with planets. Stars with debris discs
and planets have the same [Fe/H] behaviour as stars hosting planets, and they
also show a similar -Tc trend. Different behaviour in the -Tc
trend is found between the samples of stars without planets and the samples of
planet hosts. In particular, when considering only refractory elements,
negative slopes are shown in cool giant planet hosts, whilst positive ones are
shown in stars hosting low-mass planets. Stars hosting exclusively close-in
giant planets show higher metallicities and positive -Tc slope. A
search for correlations between the -Tc slopes and the stellar
properties reveals a moderate but significant correlation with the stellar
radius and as well as a weak correlation with the stellar age. The fact that
stars with debris discs and stars with low-mass planets do not show neither
metal enhancement nor a different -Tc trend might indicate a
correlation between the presence of debris discs and the presence of low-mass
planets. We extend results from previous works which reported differences in
the -Tc trends between planet hosts and non hosts. However, these
differences tend to be present only when the star hosts a cool distant planet
and not in stars hosting exclusively low-mass planets.Comment: Accepted for publication in Astronomy and Astrophysic
Transient LTRE analysis reveals the demographic and trait-mediated processes that buffer population growth.
Temporal variation in environmental conditions affects population growth directly via its impact on vital rates, and indirectly through induced variation in demographic structure and phenotypic trait distributions. We currently know very little about how these processes jointly mediate population responses to their environment. To address this gap, we develop a general transient life table response experiment (LTRE) which partitions the contributions to population growth arising from variation in (1) survival and reproduction, (2) demographic structure, (3) trait values and (4) climatic drivers. We apply the LTRE to a population of yellow-bellied marmots (Marmota flaviventer) to demonstrate the impact of demographic and trait-mediated processes. Our analysis provides a new perspective on demographic buffering, which may be a more subtle phenomena than is currently assumed. The new LTRE framework presents opportunities to improve our understanding of how trait variation influences population dynamics and adaptation in stochastic environments
User Experience Design Manifesto
The rapid change of the elements of context requires an urgent reflection on "Experience" and "Meaning with Value". The aim of this article is to critically review the User Experience Design (UXD) as a disciplinary field, and contribute by a Manifesto to an inspiring vision of the future. Some authors will be reviewed in order to list and discuss the different ideas to redefine the desirable skills to an enlightened practice and to influence a new ethos of "Be Innovation" to a better world. The article retrieves and revisits a Design Manifesto made on the basis of a strategic vision for Design based on distinctive design competencies. Drainage Areas of Texas Streams Colorado River Basin
Data on the drainage areas of Texas streams are being appropriately com
piled in cooperation with the Texas Department of Water Resources so that
information of uniform accuracy and reliability will be available for hydrau
lic, hydrologic, or general engineering use. Only recently has large-scale
topographic-map coverage of the Colorado River basin been completed. The
mapping was largely financed through a cooperative program between the Texas
Department of Water Resources and the U.S. Geological Survey. This report gives
the drainage areas as determined by measurements at 429 points within the
Colorado River basin. These data are tabulated in table 1, which gives the
latitude and longitude of the points of determination, the drainage area in
square miles above each point, and the distance in miles from the point to the

Variation in initial health assessment of unaccompanied asylum-seeking children: a cross-sectional survey across England
Objective: To assess variation in current practice of initial health assessments (IHAs) for unaccompanied asylum-seeking children (UASC) across England.
Design: Cross-sectional survey.
Main outcomes measures: Type of routine assessment carried out, threshold to specialist referrals and facilities available to complete IHA.
Results: Eighty-six health professionals responded across England; 47% had received training in UASC IHA and 33% in UASC mental health issues. The majority (80%) of IHAs were conducted with translator support and 7% of participants reported Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) input. Around half of clinicians (53%) performed tuberculosis and bloodborne virus screening for all UASC, while other infectious diseases (IDs) screening was symptom and risk factor dependent. Overall, 14% of clinicians routinely comment on age assessment and 76% share the IHA report and health plan with UASC. The time allocated for assessment range between 30 and 90 min.
Conclusion: There is significant variation in practice around UASC IHAs across England, notably around CAMHS input, time allocated, translation facilities and ID screening. The results suggest that, an increase in resources available for UASC teams, improved access to specialist services and further training on UASC health are all needed. Guidance that aims to set a best practice framework for UASC IHA delivery such as a ‘one-stop shop’ model would help to standardise UASC IHA across the country

The effects of condensed tannins from Desmodium intortum and Calliandra calothyrsus on protein and carbohydrate digestion in sheep and goats
A factorial experiment was conducted to study the effects of condensed tannins (CT) from the tropical legumes Desmodium intortum and Calliandra calothyrus on the digestion and utilization of protein and carbohydrate in sheep and goats. CT-free Centrosema pubescens was also fed for comparison with the CT legumes, and each legume was included (300 g/kg DM) in a basal diet of pangola grass (Digitaria decumbens). Pangola grass alone was used as a control diet. There were no significant (P > 0.05) differences between sheep and goats for the efficiency of digestion of N (0.574, se 0.013), organic matter (OM; 0.519, SE 0.010), neutral-detergent fibre (NDF; 0.524, SE 0.011) and acid-detergent fibre (ADF; 0.407, SE 0.016). Diets containing desmodium and calliandra were digested less well in the rumen (64 and 62% of total OM digested) when compared with the pangola and centrosema diets (74 and 73% of total OM digested in rumen). There was an apparent net gain of 30% in ADF across the digestive tract sheep and goats given calliandra, and this gain was ascribed to the formation of 'artifact' fibre as a result of fibre-tannin interaction. Overall, inclusion of legume at 300 g/kg in the diet significantly increased (P 0.05) since animals given CT diets absorbed more N (19%) per kg total OM digested than those given the control diets. It was concluded that whilst the low levels of CT provided in desmodium (1.0%) and calliandra (2.3%) diets protected dietary protein from degradation in the rumen, there were no overall beneficial or detrimental effects of CT in these diets for sheep or goats. A method was developed to categorize CT into fractions representative of their forms (free, protein-bound, and fibre-bound) during the digestion process. A quantitative model of CT metabolism during passage through the digestive tract was developed from the measured exchanges of CT between free, protein-bound and fibre-bound pools in the rumen and lower digestive tract. CT interchange mainly occurred in the reticulo-rumen of both animal species. Desmodium and calliandra free CT showed net losses of 68 and 78% in the rumen respectively and 57 and 68% of the fibre-bound CT was lost in the same site for sheep and goats respectively. However, protein-bound CT increased across the rumen by 73 and 56% for both animal species. Post-rumen losses of the total CT abomasal flow were 86 and 83% (free CT) for sheep and goats respectively, 70 and 66% (protein-bound CT), whilst 28% loss of fibre-bound CT occurred in sheep and goats respectively
