ERP hoch 3: Energieraumplanung entlang von ÖV-Achsen

Im Rahmen des national geförderten Forschungsprojekt „ERP_hoch3“ wird der Themenschwerpunkt Energieraumplanung in drei Fokusebenen betrachtet, untersucht und simuliert. Während „ERP“ für Energieraum-planung steht, steht die „3“ für drei verschiedene Raumbezüge – Stadtquartiere, öffentliche Verkehrsachsen und interkommunale Flächenpotenziale erneuerbarer Energien (Region). ERP_hoch3 ist ein zweijähriges Grundlagenforschungsprojekt, gefördert vom österreichischen Klimafonds. Das Forschungsteam besteht aus 14 Expertinnen und Experten der Fachbereiche für Regionalplanung und für örtliche Raumplanung (TU Wien, Department für Raumplanung) und der Institute für Städtebau und Prozess- und Partikeltechnik (TU Graz)

Ein Werkzeug zur automatisierten Analyse von Identitätsdaten-Leaks

Schon vor den Leaks von Dienstleistern wie last.fm, Playstation-Network oder Ashley Madison war Identitätsdiebstahl ein relevantes Thema im Bereich IT-Sicherheit. Die deutsche Gesetzgebung fordert zumeist eine Veröffentlichung der Umstände in relevanten Medien. Trotz öffentlicher Bekanntgabe und Präsenz in einschlägigen Medien erreichen relevante Informationen oft nur wenige Betroffene. Durch solche Veröffentlichungen lässt sich der Missbrauch von personenbezogenen und persönlichen Daten durch Kriminelle weder verhindern noch kontrollieren. Individuelle Benachrichtigungen von Betroffenen können die Folgen von Identitätsdiebstahl abschwächen. Dabei sollten die Benachrichtigungen weiterführende Informationen über den Umfang des Leaks beinhalten, welche die Kritikalität der betroffenen Merkmale darstellen und auch über mögliche Maßnahmen informieren. Um eine individuelle Information auf Basis verfügbarer Identitätsdaten-Leaks zu gewährleisten, müssen diese normalisiert und analysiert werden. Aufgrund der großen Menge kursierender Identitätsdatensammlungen ist eine Automatisierung notwendig. Diese Arbeit dokumentiert eine Implementierung zur automatisierten syntaktisch-, semantischen Analyse und Normalisierung relevanter Merkmale öffentlich verfügbarer Identitätsdaten als Vorbereitung zur individuellen Benachrichtigung von Betroffenen

State-of-the-Art of Education on Solar Energy in Urban Planning

This report focuses on education in order to strengthen the knowledge and competence of relevant stakeholders in solar energy in urban planning. The core of this study is to create substantial links between research and education as well as between research and practice. Knowledge gaps in current education were investigated, reasons for these gaps were identified and solutions and strategies are proposed to overcome these shortcomings

State-of-the-art of Education on Solar Energy in Urban Planning Part I: Approaches and Methods in Education

A part of IEA SHC Task 51, this report focuses on education in order to strengthen the knowledge and competence of relevant stakeholders in solar energy in urban planning. The core of this study is to create substantial links between \u2018research and education\u2019 as well as between \u2018research and practice\u2019. Knowledge gaps in current education were investigated, reasons for these gaps were identified and solutions and strategies are proposed to overcome these shortcomings. The aim of this part of the research project is to inform students as well as urban planners and professionals within the field of urban planning about the current offer of relevant courses at universities and in continuing professional development (CPD) programs. The modus operandi of evaluating existing courses dealing with the topic of solar energy and existing CPD programs was based on general online research by nine participating countries, followed by a questionnaire and survey. After identifying and analysing these programs, interviews with various educators with different levels of experience were conducted in order to further investigate the individual approaches of the applied methods behind teaching solar energy in urban planning. The evaluation of the survey showed that solar energy as it relates to urban planning was rarely part of the curriculum at universities. The identified courses are instead mostly offered in other disciplines. The identified CPD programs generally dealt with key aspects, such as climate change, and not specifically with solar energy in urban planning. The gaps and barriers in existing courses and pedagogy that are identified in this study provide knowledge that can be implemented in relevant seminars, lectures and tools for educating the next generation of architects, urban planners and specialist planners

Illustrative Prospective of Solar Energy in Urban Planning: Collection of International Case Studies

This reports presents a collection of 34 case studies on solar energy in urban planning, addressing how the planning process has been developed, how the stakeholders have been involved, which instruments have been applied, which energy technology and environmental impact have been addressed and what the role was of the researchers during the entire process. The case studies from 10 countries include examples of new urban areas, existing urban areas and landscapes. Document Number: Task 51/Report C
