Economia brasileira pós-estabilização macroeconômica

As medidas de política econômica adotadas não conseguiram controlar esse processo inflacionário até a adoção do Plano Real em 1994. Entre 1980 e 1984 predominou no Brasil uma recessão econômica de natureza distinta: uma externa, marcada pela crise da dívida; e outra interna, marcada pelo descontrole da inflação. Já entre 1985 e 1993 surgiram as estratégias para se superar a crise através da implementação de planos de estabilização. Esse período foi marcado pela estagnação da economia na medida em que a inflação apresentava níveis cada vez mais elevados. Neste cenário de escalada inflacionária e de instabilidade econômica foi concebido o Plano Real. O impacto imediato do Plano Real foi a rápida queda da taxa de inflação, apesar de sofrer fortes alterações na taxa de câmbio e elevação da taxa de juros. Este trabalho analisa os instrumentos monetários e fiscais utilizados para controlar o nível de inflação, bem como o desempenho da economia brasileira no período pós-estabilização macroeconômica entre 1994 e 2014. Os resultados obtidos demonstram os efeitos de um conjunto de políticas que foram adotadas, as quais impactaram sobre o comportamento de indicadores econômicos nos últimos vinte anos. Mesmo que o processo inflacionário brasileiro tenha sido controlado, ainda persistem diversos problemas estruturais não solucionados, especialmente a dependência externa

Noites não mencionadas : um olhar para o gosto de cereja

Orientador: Milton Jose de AlmeidaDissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Faculdade de EducaçãoResumo: A dissertação é um estudo do filme O Gosto de Cereja, de Abbas Kiarostami, em conjunto com iluminuras diretamente ligadas ao universo islâmico e tendo por pano de fundo algumas reflexões sobre o Islam. Foi estabelecida uma correspondência entre a via espiritual de conhecimento islâmico, conhecido como Mi¿raj Namah, ou Viagem Noturna do Profeta Mohammad e o deslocamento do personagem central do filme em busca de alguém que o ajudasse em seu suicídio. Em paralelo com os Sete Céus da Jornada Sagrada, foram criados sete personagens que trouxeram para o cinema o sentido possível da concepção desta Viagem. Além disso, buscando compreender e levantar questões sobre aquele universo, foram entremeadas algumas iluminuras do Oriente Médio, e fotografias de autoria de Kiarostami. A partir dos estudos de Henri Corbin sobre os sábios do Islam, foi apresentado o corpo conceitual que permite ao leitor aproximar-se de seu mundo. O objetivo do trabalho é mostrar o cinema, a possibilidade e necessidade da abertura a um outro modo de olhar a própria realidade em que estamos imersos e colaborar no questionamento de seu caráter de realidade supostamente pronta e acabadaAbstract: This dissertation is a study of the film ¿the Taste of Cherry¿, by Abbas Kiarostami, together with illustrations directly linked to the Islamic universe, bringing insights and reflections about Islam. A correspondence was established between the spiritual path for Islamic knowledge, known as Mi'raj Namah, or the nocturnal trip of the Prophet Mohammad and the trajectory of the central character of the movie in his search for help to commit suicide. Seven characters are presented in the movie who parallel the Seven Heavens of the Sacred Journey, they are a key to the possible comprehension of this Journey. Also as an aid for understanding and questioning this universe, some Middle-Eastern illustrations and photographs by Kiarostami have been studied. The purpose of this study is to discuss the indigenous history from memories. This document was constructed based on analysis of a text produced in a school project, during history lessons related to memories from the beggining of 20th century. The relevance of this research is in using oral history dialoguing with other sources for understanding memory disputes and many kinds of cultural manifestations to people who know little about the non-whites, who occupied Santa Catarina lands, before the arrival of the european colonizers.O objetivo deste artigo é discutir história indígena a partir de lembranças. Nesse documento, desenvolvo uma análise construída a partir de texto produzido no ensino de história em projeto escolar, apresentando uma memória relacionada ao início do século XX. A relevância desse trabalho está na utilização da história oral dialogando com outras fontes, para a compreensão de disputas de memória, e de diversas manifestações culturais relevantes para as pessoas, que pouco conhecem, sobre os não brancos que ocuparam terras catarinenses, antes da chegada dos colonizadores europeus

Alfabetização na língua japonesa como LE através da aprendizagem móvel (m-learning) : um diálogo com a LA

Falar em tecnologia móvel, não é só falar de dispositivos móveis, mas também de mentes móveis. É notório que os dispositivos móveis levam os estudantes a envolver-se na aprendizagem como nunca foi visto antes, o que certamente trará benefícios aos seus desempenhos.Desse modo, procuramos navegar pelo campo de pesquisa da aprendizagem móvel para escolher um app que ajude os estudantes de japonês como LE a serem alfabetizados de forma autônoma.Para esta pesquisa, objetivamos investigar o conceito de m-learninge avaliar 04 appsque têm como tema a alfabetização de japonês como LEatravés de dispositivos móveis, conceituar aprendizagem móvel (m-learning) através das teorias dos principais autores do campo de pesquisaTraxler (2005), Valentim (2009), Sharples (2007), distinguir e- learning de m-learning e investigar sobre o uso de aplicativos referentes à aprendizagem de LE através de dispositivos móveis pelos estudantes do curso. A pesquisa é qualitativa e quantitativa e sua natureza é o estudo de caso. Estafoi realizada na Universidade de Brasília com os estudantes do curso de licenciatura em Língua e Literatura Japonesa e os estudantes do curso de língua japonesa como matéria optativa. A presente pesquisa tem como propósito contribuir para o ensino de japonêscomo LE na Universidade de Brasília. Dando aos estudantes e professores uma visão da possibilidade da utilização da tecnologia móvel para o ensino de LE. Os resultados apontam que os participantes acreditam no auxílio de dispositivos móveis ao aprendizado de japonês como LE. E através dos instrumentos de avaliação que o appJapanese HIRAGA poderia ser adotado para ajudar no processo de aprendizagem do hiragana e katakana. Acreditamos que o uso de tecnologias da informação e comunicação (TIC) para o auxílio de professores do ensino da língua japonesa, pode despertar nos estudantes o desenvolvimento de uma capacidade autodidata. Esta pode ajudar em muitas áreas e não somente no estudo da língua japonesa como LE. ___________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTThis study investigates the use of mobile devices to assist in developing literacy in foreign languages, in general, and, more specifically, in Japanese. The goal is to help mobile devices create mobile minds. It is clear that mobile devices lead students to engage in learning in ways never before contemplated. These new paths bring great benefits to their performances. Accordingly, we sought to search the field of mobile learning to choose an app that helps students of Japanese to grow their abilities autonomously. For this research, we (1) investigated the concept of m- learning and evaluating 04 apps that have the theme of literacy as Japanese LE via mobile devices, (2) conceptualized mobile learning (m-learning) through the theories of the principal authors of the research field, distinguished e-learning from m-learning, and (4) investigated the use of applications related to learning foreign languages through mobile devices by students. The research is based on qualitative and quantitative case study analysis. This will be held at the University of Brasilia with the students of the degree in Japanese Language and Literature and the students of the Japanese language as an optional subject. This research aims to contribute to the teaching of Japanese as a foreign language at the University of Brasilia by giving students and teachers insights into the possibility of using mobile technology for teaching foreign language. We believe that the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) by teachers of the Japanese language, will help awaken in students a passion for self-development of their language skills. Finally, we believe that the application of m-learning to foreign language development can be extrapolated to other fields as well

Prevalência e fatores de risco para tabagismo em adolescentes

OBJECTIVE: Tobacco smoking is one of the main causes of preventable disease and premature disability. Th estudy was aimed at measuring smoking prevalence and related risk factors among adolescents. METHODS: A population-based cross-sectional study was carried out in a representative sample of 1,187 adolescents aged 10 to 19 years living in the urban area of Pelotas, southern Brazil. All adolescents were interviewed separately using a confidential coded questionnaire. Kaplan-Meier test was performed for survival curve analysis. RESULTS: The overall smoking prevalence rate in the sample was 12.1% (95% CI 10.3%-14%). Boys and girls had similar prevalence rates. The following were the risk factors for smoking found in the multivariate logistic regression analysis: older age (OR=28.7; 95% CI 11.5-71.4), older smoking siblings (OR=2.4; 95% CI 1.5-3.8), three or more smoking friends (OR=17.5; 95% CI 8.8-34.8) and low schooling (OR=3.5; 95% CI 1.5-8.0). CONCLUSIONS: The prevalence of smoking among adolescents in the city of Pelotas was high. Campaigns against tobacco use should be aimed at the community and families, targeting adolescents. The government must adopt legal actions in order to prevent adolescents to have access to to smoking.OBJETIVO: O tabagismo é uma das principais causas de enfermidades evitáveis e incapacidades prematuras. Nesse sentido, realizou-se estudo com o objetivo de medir a prevalência e estudar fatores de risco associados ao tabagismo nos adolescentes. MÉTODOS: A partir de um delineamento transversal de base populacional, estudou-se uma amostra representativa de 1.187 adolescentes de 10 a 19 anos, da zona urbana de Pelotas, sul do Brasil. Todos os adolescentes da amostra, de cada domicílio, foram entrevistados por meio de questionário pré-codificado, individual e confidencial. Utilizou-se o teste de Kaplan-Meier para análise da curva de sobrevida. RESULTADOS: A prevalência de tabagismo na amostra foi de 12,1% (IC95% 10,3%-14%). As prevalências foram similares para os sexos femininos e masculinos. Os fatores de risco para tabagismo na análise multivariada, por regressão logística, foram: maior idade, odds ratio (OR) de 28,7 (11,5-71,4), irmãos mais velhos fumantes, OR de 2,4 (1,5-3,8), três ou mais amigos fumantes, OR de 17,5 (8,8-34,8) e baixa escolaridade OR de 3,5 (1,5-8,0). CONCLUSÕES: A prevalência de tabagismo na adolescência mostrou-se alta, na cidade de Pelotas. Campanhas antitabágicas devem ser direcionadas à comunidade e à família tendo o adolescente como alvo. Medidas legais adotadas pelo governo são importantes para impedir o acesso dos adolescentes ao cigarro

Equine Podotrochlear Apparatus - Histologic Characterization

Background: The navicular syndrome may be associated with alterations in other podotrochlear apparatus components, such as the deep digital flexor tendon, collareral sesamoid and distal sesamoid ligaments, podotrochlear bursa and distal sesamoid bone. However, the clinical significance and nature of these changes are not well understood, many of descriptive reports about distal sesamoid bone lesions are rarely accompanied by a complete and comprehensive comparison with animals of the control group. The aim of this study was to described histologically findings of the podrotrochlear apparatus components, allowing the understanding of the inserts and their microscopic appearance, thus providing the future recognize of their alterations.Materials, Methods & Results: Fourteen samples of the podotrochlear apparatus were taken out of 44 equine thoracic limbs specimens, separated at the radiocarpal joint of Crioulo and Thoroughbred horses, with an average age of 6.0-year-old, coming from a private clinic in southern Brazil. The thoracic limbs specimens were refrigerated at 4ºC at the clinic and then they were sent to the University Federal of Santa Maria (UFSM). Once at the University laboratory, the specimens were dissected to isolate the podotrochlear apparatus from each one.  Subsequently, transversal and longitudinal samples from the distal sesamoid bone, deep digital flexor tendo,             distal sesamoid ligament, colateral sesamoid ligament, were collected and podotrochlear            bursa which were processed at the Veterinary Pathology Laboratory of the UFSM and University Federal of Santa Catarina (UFSC). The tissues samples were fixed in a 10% formaldehyde solution for 14 days and routinely processed for histology. The samples were sectioned at 3 µm and stained using the hematoxylin-eosin (H-E) routine method. The bone samples, after fixation, underwent a decalcified process in a formic acid-sodium citrate aqueous solution and routinely processed for histopathology. Histologic tendons evaluation showed that it is arranged in honeycombs fascicles in a transverse section observation. The tendinous fibers have a more compact and aligned collagen fibers arrangement due to the dense connective tissue. The synovial membrane of the podotrochlear bursa is composed of a cubic pseudo conjunctival epithelium arranged with a layer of synoviocytes forming villi towards the lumen. This characterization is very similar to that of the synovial joint membrane. The collateral sesamoid ligament fibers are not perfectly aligned, occurring at their confluence in some areas accompanied by the dissection of adipose tissue. The distal sesamoide ligament fibers, composed by of loose connective tissue associated with synoviocytes and vascular stroma. The articular surface of the distal sesamoid bone is arranged in 3 layers of chondrocytes embedded in a hyaline matrix. There was a clear differentiation between the subchondral bone area and the fibrocartilage tissue in the palmar aspect of the distal sesamoid bone.Discussion: The morphophysiological characterization of the podotrochlear structures inside the hoof capsule it is important for the future recognition of abnormalities and the possible hypothesis that originates the podotrochlear syndrome. These changes have great clinical relevance and very often associated of distal limb lameness in horses. The normal macroscopic, ultrasonographic and radiographic images along with the histomorphometric study of the podotrochlear structures have contributed for the morphophysiological comprehension and consequently future interpretation of the podotrochlear structures diseases.Keywords: podotrochlear apparatus, distal sesamoide bone, deep digital flexor tendon, navicular syndrome, histological findings
