Human resources for commune health centers as per national standards : the case of Vietnam

    Get PDF
Vietnam is among a few countries which have established a model of Commune Health Centers (CHCs) to serve primary health care for all people. Using quota sampling technique, 30 CHCs per each among nine provinces nationwide were equally selected for data collection to assess human resources for CHCs as national standards in Vietnam. A total of 239 CHCs finally completed the survey. Overall, the average number of Health Care Workers (HCWs) in each CHC was 6.3 ± 1.7, which met the national standards (at least five HCWs per CHC). However, only 24.4% of CHCs had 5 required job positions, and 59.7% of CHCs had at least one doctor. These shortages were more emerging in mountainous and remote areas. Further, mountainous and remote areas have been underrepresented of female HCWs, as compared to those in rural and urban areas. Our data provide a quite strong case for policy makers and health managers to improve human resources structure for CHCs. An improved quadrilateral flat element with drilling degrees of freedom for shell structural analysis

    Get PDF
This paper reports the development of a simple and efficient 4-node flat shell element with six degrees of freedom per node for the analysis of arbitrary shell structures. The element is developed by incorporating a strain smoothing technique into a flat shell finite element approach. The membrane part is formulated by applying the smoothing operation on a quadrilateral membrane element using Allman-type interpolation functions with drilling DOFs. The plate-bending component is established by a combination of the smoothed curvature and the substitute shear strain fields. As a result, the bending and a part of membrane stiffness matrices are computed on the boundaries of smoothing cells which leads to very accurate solutions, even with distorted meshes, and possible reduction in computational cost. The performance of the proposed element is validated and demonstrated through several numerical benchmark problems. Convergence studies and comparison with other existing solutions in the literature suggest that the present element is efficient, accurate and free of lockings

A smoothed four-node piezoelectric element for analysis of two-dimensional smart structures

    Get PDF
This paper reports a study of linear elastic analysis of two-dimensional piezoelectric structures using a smoothed four-node piezoelectric element. The element is built by incorporating the strain smoothing method of mesh-free conforming nodal integration into the standard four-node quadrilateral piezoelectric finite element. The approximations of mechanical strains and electric potential fields are normalized using a constant smoothing function. This allows the field gradients to be directly computed from shape functions. No mapping or coordinate transformation is necessary so that the element can be used in arbitrary shapes. Through several examples, the simplicity, efficiency and reliability of the element are demonstrated. Numerical results and comparative studies with other existing solutions in the literature suggest that the present element is robust, computationally inexpensive and easy to implement

A METHOD FOOTBALL TEAM MODEL OPTIMIZATION AND APPLICATION OF THE OPTIMIZATION CONTROL

    Get PDF
The development of the AI, IoT, and Big Data have to become strongly apply to discrete event strings systems. That are modern developments of the world. Therefore, we have to have an advanced method to develop adaptive applications, especially with MIMO discrete event systems. There is a limit while using a continuous calculation to control systems because the big calculation is an obstacle. So we have to find an optimization method to reduce the number of parameters in the calculation at any time. We could do it by choice the main parameters and except auxiliary parameters. In this paper, we introduce a Football Team Optimization (FTO) method, which is a new method to do optimization problem while control with many parameters system. The application and analysis to compare any method as PSO, traditional PID, which takes out the difference of this algorithm

THE WORK-OUTS TO OPTIMIZE THE EFFICIENCY FOOTWORK – A CASE STUDY FOR TALENTED FEMALE TABLE TENNIS ATHLETES AT THE AGE OF 14-15 IN VINH LONG PROVINCE, VIETNAM

    Get PDF
The purpose of this study was to build up and evaluate the application of work-outs about the efficiency of footwork for talented female table tennis athletes. 08 healthy female talented table tennis athletes at the age of 14-15 in Vinh Long province were chosen to participate in the 8-week pre-season training. Results indicated that the 20 work-outs were selected to improve the efficiency footwork through the basis of training principle, participant’ characteristics, previous studies, and expert interviews. Besides, there were significant differences in all 06 tests to evaluate the footwork ability after the experiment. Moreover, the percentage of change indicated increased, from the objective perspective, we found that the growth rate was still at the moderate level (from 2.72% to 6.07%). Therefore, it is necessary to apply the 20 work-outs more flexibly and closely to improve the efficiency of footwork in different training phases next year. It was concluded that the application of the 20 work-outs about the efficiency of footwork had positive effects on female talented table tennis athletes. Future studies should be conducted on a group of males, diverse in training levels, and/or on the other sports group that need to promote footwork ability.   Article visualizations

ADSORPTION OF MERCURIC ION FROM AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS USING MODIFIED FLY ASH

    Get PDF
In this study, fly ash was treated with NaOH solution (FAN) before modifying with (3-mercaptopropyl) triethoxysilane - MPTMS (FAMPS). By using FTIR, FESEM, XRD, EDX, and BET techniques, the change in structure, composition and morphology of FAN and FAMPS was evaluated. The FTIR spectra of FAN and FAMPS showed that there is no chemical reaction between the MPTMS and FAN. After modification, the FAMPS has a rough surface with composition difference from the FAN. Mercuric ion adsorption behavior as well as adsorptionisotherm models (Langmuir and Freundlich) of the FAN and FAMPS were also investigated and discussed. Thanks to FAN modification, the mercuric ion removal percent of the FAMPS was higher than that of the FAN. Owing to the adsorption data, Freundlich isotherm modelwas fitted for the mercuric ion adsorption process

The Relationship between Budget Revenue - expenditure and Inflation in Vietnam: Viewed from the Results of Quantitative Analysis

    Get PDF
The research examines the relationship between budget revenue expenditure and inflation in Vietnam, with time series data on budget revenue expenditure and the consumer price index (CPI) (representing the inflation variable in Vietnam). Data were collected from the International Financial Statistics (IFS-IMF), General Statistics Office (GSO) in the period of 2005-2022. The author used Eview software to build a linear relationship log-log of budget revenue - -expenditure and CPI in the case of the Vietnamese economy. Quantitative analysis results show that when budget revenue increased by 1%, CPI increased by 0.249674%, when budget expenditure increased by 1%, CPI increased by 0.298316%. Raising budget revenue to raise budget expenditure will result in higher inflation during the research period in Vietnam. From the theoretical basis, research overview, and quantitative analysis results, the research team makes some recommendations for fiscal policy in Vietnam in the current context
