Expression of the Arabidopsis HARDY (hrd) DNA binding transcription factor (555 bp present on chromosome 2) has been shown to increase WUE in rice by Karaba et al 2007 (PNAS, 104:15270–15275). We conducted a detail analysis of the complete sorghum genome for the similarity/presence of either DNA, mRNA or protein product of the Arabidopsis HARDY (hrd) DNA binding transcription factor (555 bp present on chromosome 2). Chromosome 6 showed a sequence match of 61.5 percent positive between 61 and 255 mRNA residues of the query region. Further confirmation was obtained by TBLASTN which showed that chromosome 6 of the sorghum genome has a region between 54948120 and 54948668 which has 80 amino acid similarities out of the 185 residues. A homology model was constructed and verified using Anolea, Gromos and Verify3D. Scanning the motif for possible activation sites revealed that there was a protein kinase C phosphorylation site between 15th and 20th residue. The study indicates the possibility of the presence of a DNA binding transcription factor in chromosome 6 of Sorghum bicolor with 60 percent similarity to that of Arabidopsis hrd DNA binding transcription factor

Literature is related to human life. It records various events of human life. In this way, S. Ramakrishnan's Sancharam is a novel literature that aims to depict the life events of Nathswara artists who have black soil as their living environment. The Sahitya Academy award-winning novel 2018 explores various issues in the life of an artist. Through this article, we can learn about the value given by the society to the two Nathswara artists born and raised in the land of black soli and the life of Nathswara artists who lived in the early period. The story revolves around two central characters, Pakiri and Rathanam. In the course of their lives, these men think of various Nathswara artists who lived in the past. One of those scholars is Thananasi. He is a proficient in reciting nataswaram, he is shown to be blind. Growing up without his mother's warmth, he yearns for love. This anxiety creates depression. He engages in certain behaviors to reduce this risk. The purpose of this paper is to examine the behaviors of Thananasi and to uncover the psychological reasons for the behaviors. His behaviors have been studied in terms of defense strategies which are one of the psychological components. Coping and retrogression are two defense strategies that manifest in these behaviors that are highlighted in this review. These defense techniques are given as a result of the research to protect his mind

Tamil society is considered to be one of the oldest societies. Various problems like caste and economic inequalities along with gender differences exist in this society. Among these, gender inequality serves as a subject of debate till date. In society, women are not treated equally. In areas such as education, employment and marriage, women are treated poorly as compared to men. This inequality appears in different manners at different stages in time. Contemporary literature is written to show antagonism to this inequality. Particularly, short stories play a vital role in delineating these differences. Short story writer S. Ramakrishnan has given centre stage to the day-to-day problems faced by women in his short stories. The female characters portrayed in his stories struggle to establish their equality in spite of the troubles life throws at them. From his collection of short stories named Avalathu Veedu, two stories Avalathu Veedu and Embaavai are taken as primary sources for this research article. This article analyses the psychology of two female characters, Agalya and Nanmathi, who represent the main characters of the selected short stories. The social change represented from their psychological characteristics is also discussed. The principles of psychological defence mechanism is used to analyse the characteristics of these female characters

Background: First trimester bleeding is one of the common complications during pregnancy which affects almost 16-25% of all pregnancies. To evaluate and ascertain the adverse maternal and perinatal outcomes in pregnant women presenting with first trimester vaginal bleeding. Methods: Prospective case-control study. A case control study involving 60 pregnant women with vaginal bleeding in the first 13 weeks + 6 days of gestational age with 60 matched controls. The study period was from March 2015 to March 2016 and conducted at PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Results: The complications seen in the study group were: first trimester abortion (16.7%), second trimester abortion (6.7%), preterm labour (25%), abruption (6.7%), neonatal intensive care admission (25%), ectopic (6.7%), IUGR (10%), IUD (1.7%) and PROM (8.3%). When compared with the parity matched controls there was statistically significant increase in first and second trimester abortions, preterm labour, abruption, NICU admission and ectopic pregnancy whereas there was no significant difference between the two groups with regard to intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR) and intrauterine death (IUD).Conclusions: Women with first trimester vaginal bleeding had several adverse outcomes in both the mother and the fetus, and it is very important to explain about the possibility of these outcomes and ensure proper follow up with close antenatal surveillance

An Investigation of Ultra-Wideband Filters for Cognitive Radio Networks

The requirement for radio spectrum has been increasing and this has resulted in the materialization of wireless applications with enhanced features and higher data rate. The spectrum is scant, and the current radio spectrum regulation is making its use inefficient. This necessitates the development of new dynamic spectrum allocation policies to better exploit the existing spectrum. According to the present spectrum allocation regulations, specific frequency bands are allocated to particular services and only approved users are granted access to licensed bands. Cognitive radio (CR) is expected to modernize the mode spectrum is allocated. In a CR network, the intelligent radio part allows secondary users (unlicensed users) to access spectrum bands allocated to the licensed primary users with the avoidance of interference. A solution to this inefficiency has been highly successful in the ISM (2.4 GHz), the U-NII (5–6 GHz), and microwave (57–64 GHz) bands, by making the unused spectra accessible on an unlicensed basis. However, in order to obtain spectra for unlicensed operation, new sharing concepts have been introduced to allow the usage of spectra by secondary users under the prerequisite that they limit their interference to the primary users. This would start by studying techniques employed in the design of UWB filters. This study is aimed to investigate the filters for overlay and underlay CR. This paper presents a comparative study of ultra-wideband filters for Cognitive Radio Networks

These days, earth observation frameworks give a large number of heterogeneous remote sensing information. The most effective method to oversee such fulsomeness in utilizing its reciprocity is a vital test in current remote sensing investigation. Considering optical Very High Spatial Resolution (VHSR) images, satellites acquire both Multi Spectral (MS) and panchromatic (PAN) images at various spatial goals. Information fusion procedures manage this by proposing a technique to consolidate reciprocity among the various information sensors. Classification of remote sensing image by Deep learning techniques using Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) is increasing a solid decent footing because of promising outcomes. The most significant attribute of CNN-based strategies is that earlier element extraction is not required which prompts great speculation capacities. In this article, we are proposing a novel Deep learning based SMDTR-CNN (Same Model with Different Training Round with Convolution Neural Network) approach for classifying fused (LISS IV + PAN) image next to image fusion. The fusion of remote sensing images from CARTOSAT-1 (PAN image) and IRS P6 (LISS IV image) sensor is obtained by Quantization Index Modulation with Discrete Contourlet Transform (QIM-DCT). For enhancing the image fusion execution, we remove specific commotions utilizing Bayesian channel by Adaptive Type-2 Fuzzy System. The outcomes of the proposed procedures are evaluated with respect to precision, classification accuracy and kappa coefficient. The results revealed that SMDTR-CNN with Deep Learning got the best all-around precision and kappa coefficient. Likewise, the accuracy of each class of fused images in LISS IV + PAN dataset is improved by 2% and 5%, respectively
