This chapter appears in the second in series of two artists’ books from the collaborative research project Spaces Buildings Make undertaken with the artist Andrew Kearney and funded by the SSHRC (Canada) and the AHRC and published in conjunction with an exhibition and performance Spaces Buildings Make: A Laboratory for Critical Spatial Practice at the National Theatre (London) as part of the London Festival of Architecture and Watch This Space (2008). The work considers how artistic research practices can contribute to how we research our experience of architecture and the built environment.
