    This study analyzes the physical and chemical characteristics of eucalyptus oil products in the Ambon city market. Eucalyptus oil stamped Merpati Putih/MP to determine the quality grade of MP eucalyptus oil. The MP quality grade is based on the chemical component content level of 1,8-cineole. Furthermore, according to results of the testing on the physics properties of some parameters as required at SNI 3954-2014 about Eucalyptus (Cajuput) Oil standard, and the analysis of chemical components through GC-MS apparatus, the results shows that the MP Cajuput oil has the properties of physics that meet the required standards, among others: the specific gravity (BJ) of 0917, light green-colored towards clear, smelling as typical cajuput oil (original), the refractive indexes at ambient was about 1.469; there was no mixing with other oils (clear) and the absence of fatty oil with an optical rotation value at (-) 0, 33o, respectively. However, the results of the analysis of chemical components by GC-MS proved that the quality of the MP Cajuput oil at the first quality class was based on SNI 3954-2014 due to contains 1.8-cineole whose it value was within the standard ranges of 50 to < 55%, which is 52.51

    This research aimed to determine the physical properties and advantages of cement boards made from sago stem bark waste based on the test results of several parameters according to JIS A 5908 (2003) standard. The results showed that the physical properties of cement board from sago stem bark waste with the addition of the CaCl2 catalyst were good, with the average value of density ranged from 1.19-1.26 gr/cm³, water content 7,67-8,02%, and water absorption after immersion 2 hours 6,03-7.65% as well as after 24-hour immersion 11,62-12,91%, respectively. The averages swelling value of board thickness was 1.62-12,91% after immersion 2 hours and 1.40-3.41% after immersion 24 hours. Furthermore, what sago bark waste in various positions of the tree trunk (tree base, middle and top) can be utilized to manufacture cement board. The board made from sago stem bark waste at the base position with a catalyst CaCl2 6% has the best physical properties and meets JIS A 5908 (2003) standard. Cement board from sago stem bark waste has an excellent waterproof capability and can be used as outdoor materials

    This study aims to analyze the relationship between bamboo (Javanese bamboo species (Schizostachyum brachycladum), petung bamboo (Dendrocalamus asper) and suanggi bamboo (Schizostachyum arundinaceae)] with pressure (3 tons, 2.5 tons and 2 tons treatment) on the quality of charcoal briquettes. The research procedure begins with the preparation of raw materials, drying, curing, grinding, adhesion, printing and pressing, drying briquettes and determining the quality of the briquettes. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) arranged in factorial with 3 replications where the factors studied were 2 factors: factor A (bamboo type) and factor B (pressure). The results showed that the analysis of bamboo species diversity (A) affected the air-dry water content and the heating value, pressure factor (B) and interaction (AB) affected the roughness of air-dried water while the other parameters did not affect. The value of dry air content ranges between 6.55-6.62%, Dry oven water levels range between 3.426-3.446%, ash content ranges between 4.154-4.240%, volatile substance levels range between 7.64-7.99%, bonded carbon content ranges between 60.295-60.456% and and heating value ranges from 4336.28-4833.24 cal/g.     This research objectives were to investigate possibility of using the waste of sago cortex (Ela sagu/Wa’a) in the manufacture of cement board and to determine the physical properties of cement board based on the comparison in proportion of materials (cement, sago, water)  and catalyst calcium chloride (CaCl2). Method were applied used completely randomesed design with tree replications in 3x3x3, with total 27 samples of cement board. The results shown that the waste of sago cortex ca be applied as raw materials to manufacture of cement board and fulfill the standard of particle board (JIS A 5908, 2003). The board have dencity which is almost equal to the target of dencity, lower value in water content, water absorption and thichness swelling so that have good performance in quality and stability dimensions. The sago cortex in side of base and the catalyst CaCl2 in 6% gave high performance for all physical properties of cement board

Carbon-stored at primary forest is 239.9190 tons / ha to 369.0228 tons / ha with 301.1112 tons / ha.     Efforts to increase the utilization of forest products are realized in the form of forest product processing industries which are referred to as primary forest product industries. The total forest area in Maluku Province is 3,919,701 Ha. The potential of natural forest production has decreased significantly. This condition certainly affects the amount of roundwood produced, in other words, the production of round wood has also decreased. On the other hand, the demand for wood in Maluku is very high indicated by the high capacity of existing industries. This condition does not support the sustainability of the timber industry. This research was carried out with the aim of 1) Knowing the production of timber forest products based on a case study conducted in Maluku Province. 2) analyze the effect of sawn timber production and the number of IPHHK on sawn timber production. The result of research show that the number of IPHHK in Maluku Province in 2017 is 80 units of industrial enterprises, the primary of which is active in the process of processing processed wood as much as 57 units. The results of linear regression analysis, it can be seen that because Fcount 7 Ftable, 0.723> 0.457, then H0 is rejected, meaning that there is a significant influence between the amount of round wood production, the number of IPHHK together for sawn timber production

    The objectives of this study were to investigate the potential of NTFPs in forest areas around the Wae Riuapa watershed; calculating the value of economic benefits from the commodity of NTFPs that are cultivated by forest farmers around the Wae Riuapa watershed; and to examine the form of marketing of commodities of NTFPs which often carried out by forest farmers around the Wae Riuapa watershed. The results showed that the potential of NTFPs from this community around the Wae Riuapa watershed, namely: Resin, Lawang, Rattan, Fern, Bamboo, Pandanus, Agarwood, Orchid, Enau, Firewood, Honey, Birds, Wild Boar, Deer, Cassowary, Sago, Nutmeg, Cloves, Chocolate, Bananas & fruits. Grouping farmer income based on the type of livelihood which ranges from <Rp. 1,000,000, - Rp. 4,500,000 per family per year. Factors affecting the marketing aspect are market access and transaction processes for the selling price of commodities to be marketed, while the real problems in marketing in the study locations; Hunitetu, Rambatu, Rumberu and Rumahtita villages were the high prices of NTFsP commodity and the quite expensive of tranportatiom cost due to the market access has a high cost

    Therefore this study aims to analyze the level of diversity in the measurement of volume of logs in the field between researchers and Technical Personnel for Sustainable Production Forest Management (GANIS-PHPL) inputted in the SI-PUHH Online application. The method used is a quantitative method by developing models mathematical  (calculations), which are related to the measurement of logs. The results showed that the Technical Personnel for Sustainable Production Forest Management (GANIS-PHPL) owned by PT. Gema Hutani Lestari is not careful in carrying out its duties and authorities in measuring the correctness of the volume of logs, because there has been an excess volume tolerance of 5.97% of the set tolerance limit of 5%, giving rise to an element of state losses. Thus the performance and role of GANIS-PHPL is deemed necessary for guidance and control related to its duties and authority in terms of measuring and testing the volume of logs, so that the calculation of non-tax state revenue (PNBP) reaches the desired target
