Quantum discord of electron spins of noninteracting electron gases

    No full text
In this paper, we analyze the quantum discord of electron spins of noninteracting electron gases. Our results imply that the quantum discord depends on the relative distance between the two electrons and the temperature. By a comparison between the quantum discord and the entanglement of formation, we find that the quantum discord is more robust than the entanglement of formation in the sense that the quantum discord takes a zero value only at discrete points of the range of the relative distance whereas the entanglement of formation can disappear for a finite relative distance

Study of N(1440){N^*(1440)} from J/Ψ{J/\Psi} decays

For J/Ψpˉpπ0J/\Psi\to\bar pp \pi^0 and pˉpπ+π\bar pp\pi^+\pi^-, the π0p\pi^0p and pπ+πp\pi^+\pi^- systems are limited to be pure isospin-(1/2) due to isospin conservation. This is a big advantage in studying NN^* resonances from J/ΨJ/\Psi decays, compared with πN\pi N and γN\gamma N experiments. The process J/ΨpˉNJ/\Psi\to\bar pN^* or pNˉp\bar N^* provides a new way to probe the internal structure of the NN^* resonances. Here we report a quark model calculation for J/ΨpˉpJ/\Psi\to\bar pp, pˉN(1440)\bar pN^*(1440) and NˉN\bar N^*N^*. The implication for the internal structure of N(1440)N^*(1440) is discussed
