    ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the best concentration of wood vinegar on the growth and yield of okra plants (Abelmoschus esculantus L). This research has been carried out in Kenten Laut, Sukamaju, Sako, Palembang Indonesia from October 2017 to January 2018. The design of the research was Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 5 (five) treatments and 5 (five) replications. The treatment studied was the concentration of wood vinegar, namely P0 = control, P1 = 10 ml of wood vinegar/liter of water, P2 = 20 ml of wood vinegar/liter of water, P3 = 30 ml of wood vinegar/liter of water, P4 = 40 ml of wood vinegar/ liter of water. The variables observed were plant height, number of leaves, number of branche, age of flowering, number of flowers per plant, number of fruit per plant, fruit production (yield) per plot. Based on the results of the study can be concluded that wood vinegar with concentration of 40 ml/liter water (P4) increased plant height, number of leaves, amount of fruit, fruit weight per plant, and the yield per plot.Keywords: ocra, wood vinega

    Adaptation Test Of Sweet Potato (Ipomoea batatas L. (LAM)) Cilembu Variety In South Sumatra

    Adaptation Test of Sweet Potato (lpomoea batatas L. (Lam)) variety Cilembu in Ogan Ilir, South Sumatra was conducted to see if sweet potato var. Cilembu was planted in Ogan llir area is be able to form tubers and has a higher sugar content compared to local varieties in Ogan Ilir South Sumatra. This research was carried out in the Agroteknopark area located in the village Bakung, North Indralaya, Ogan Ilir, on April 2017 to September 2017. This study used a Randomized Block Design, consisting of four clones and six replications. To find out the differences in each variety, group comparison tests were carried out using the orthogonal contrast method. From the results of the study it can be concluded that the highest plant lenght of the local variety were obtained from the Purple variety. The highest plant length of Cilembu variety obtained from the Rancing variety. The highest diameter of tubers of Local variety plant was obtained from Orange variety 9.8 cm, while the highest diameter of Cilembu variety was 5.9 cm (Rancing variety). The highest weight of tubers from local varieties were obtained from Orange variety, namely 1.39 kg plant-1 or 34.79 tons ha-1. The highest  Cilembu varieties obtained from Rancing variety were 1.2 kg plant-1 or 21.67 tons ha-1, the highest weight of biomass per plant at the highest L vs C ratio was obtained from the Cilembu Rancing variety of 4.9 kg. On parameter of dry biomass weight, the higher L vs C ratio was obtained from the Cilembu Rancing variety which was 0.73 kg

    This study aims to find appropriate media formulations for plant propagation of potato in vitro. Research conducted at the Tissue Culture Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Tridinanti Palembang, beginning July 2015 until October 2015.The research design used is Completely Randomized  Design (CRD) arranged in factorial, with 9 (nine) combined treatment and five (5) replications ie: N1A1 = 0.5 ppm NAA + 100 ml/l coconut water, N1A2 = 0.5 ppm NAA + 150 ml/l coconut water, N1A3 = 0.5 ppm NAA + 200 ml/l coconut water, N2A1 = 1 ppm NAA + 100 ml/L coconut water, N2A2 = 1 ppm NAA + 150 ml/l coconut water, N2A3 = 1 ppm NAA + 200 ml/l coconut water, N3A1 = 1.5 ppm NAA +100 ml/l coconut water, N3A2 = 1.5 ppm NAA + 150 ml/l coconut water, and N3A3 = 1.5 ppm NAA + 200 ml/l coconut water. The observation parameter are the time to established buds, shoots high, the time to established roots, number of roots, root length, and the percentage of plantlets life.The results showed that treatment of NAA at a concentration of 1 ppm affected significant on the root length 7.74 cm. Coconut water at a concentration of 100 ml/l significantly affected the established of root ie 9.97 days after planting (dap) and 200 ml/l of coconut water has a significant effect on shoot height 10.27 cm. There was no significant interaction between NAA and coconut water in almost of all parameters were observed, except on the parameter of established roots. NAA at a concentration of 1.5 ppm and 200 ml/l of coconut water has a significant interaction for paremeter time to established roots ie 7.00 dap

    BASTANI SEPINDJUNG, FARIDATUL MUKMINAH DAN HENRY ARDIANSYAH. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian limbah lumpur kering kelapa sawit terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman tomat (Solanum lycopersicum L.). Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Oktober 2015 sampai dengan bulan Februari 2016 di desa Sumber Baru,Kecamatan Mesuji Raya,Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ilir, Provinsi Sumatera Selatan. Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK), Perlakuan adalah persentase lumpur kering dengan tanah dimana terdapat lima perlakuan sebagai berikut ; F1=0%, F2=20%, F3=40%,F4=60% dan F5=80%. Setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak lima kali dengan menggunakan tiga tanaman sampel. Pengamatan dimulai sejak dipindahkan ke dalam polybag. Perubahan yang diamati dalam penelitian ini yaitu tinggi tanaman (cm), umur berbunga(hari), berat buah (gram),jumlah buah (butir), dan berat rata-rata buah (gram). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa pemberian limbah lumpur kering kelapa sawit berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman,umur berbunga,berat buah ,dan jumlah buah tanaman tomat yaitu pada perlakuan F5
