Research on the Efficacy of Creative Risk Management Approach based on Reverse Thinking
AbstractBased on Sabotage Analysis as one of TRIZ techniques, we developed Creative Risk Management Approach based on Reverse Thinking (CRMART). CRMART is very effective not only as a method to prevent human errors at site of work in manufacturing and construction industries but also as a risk management method based on future-oriented thinking against New-Type Risks (NTR) in IT field with drastic advances in technical innovations. Introducing CRMART in a variety of real projects, we have got a reputation from practitioners who experienced CRMART through risk management activities.Judging from the above, it is clear that CRMART really plays the field and is flexible method. And now, reverse thinking in CRMART comes from âOther Way Roundâ called No.13 principle in 40 Inventive principles. However, the most important feature of CRMART is that the risk factors we grasp get converted to functions we should practice by utilizing Functional Analysis (FA) in Value Engineering (VE). Because it's possible to move the risk factors from non-participant observer to central player in a risk management activity logically by transforming risk factors from usual risk items into functions. Putting risk factors to central players means that capacity for imagination regarding the process coming up risks could be improved. That is to say, it is clear that capacity to respond to unanticipated risks has risen. Therefore, in this paper, we want to introduce a case study about proposed measures against divulging of information at a company as a typical unanticipated risk in information society, contrasting a case study we applied with proposed procedure of CRMART. Lastly, we would like to organize the advantages of this method as specific observer's eye as possible
New Einstein-Hilbert-type Action and Superon-Graviton Model(SGM) of Nature
A nonlinear supersymmetric(NLSUSY) Einstein-Hilbert(EH)-type new action for
unity of nature is obtained by performing the Einstein gravity analogue
geomtrical arguments in high symmetry spacetime inspired by NLSUSY. The new
action is unstable and breaks down spontaneously into E-H action with matter in
ordinary Riemann spacetime. All elementary particles except graviton are
composed of the fundamental fermion "superon" of Nambu-Goldstone(NG) fermion of
NLSUSY and regarded as the eigenstates of SO(10) super-Poincar\'e (SP) algebra,
called superon-graviton model(SGM) of nature. Some phenomenological
implications for the low energy particle physics and the cosmology are
discussed. The linearization of NLSUSY including N=1 SGM action is attempted
explicitly to obtain the linear SUSY local field theory, which is equivalent
and renormalizable.Comment: 37 pages, Latex, Based on a talk by K. Shima at International

Postoperative Urinary Retention in Japanese Elderly Males with a Femoral Neck or Trochanteric Fracture
We assessed risk factors for postoperative urinary retention (UR) in elderly males with femoral bone fractures: 169 Japanese males (mean age 81.95 ± 1.19 years) who had undergone hip surgery at a municipal hospital (Toyama, Japan). A multiple logistic regression analysis was used to test possible risk factors for UR: age, body mass index, serum albumin, cognitive impairment, activities of daily living (ADL), and history of diabetes mellitus (DM). UR occurred in 24 (14.2%) of the 169 patients. A multivariate logistic regression analysis with age adjustment showed that ADL (odds ratio [OR] 3.88; 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.2-12.5, p=0.023) was significantly associated with the development of UR, and a history of DM showed marginal significance for UR occurrence (OR 0.36, 95%CI: 0.11-10, p=0.064). These results suggests that ADL is a risk factor for UR development in elderly males who have undergone surgery for femoral neck or trochanter fractures
Research on Functional Analysis Useful for Utilizing TRIZ
AbstractThe functional analysis viewpoint is essential in ensuring that the customer has a voice in product design plans. Functional analysis is, therefore, very important in TRIZ, quality function deployment (QFD) and value engineering (VE), all of which are frequently used in design activities. People who are not used to conducting functional analysis may spend a great deal of time identifying a product's necessary functions, and this can have an adverse effect on the speed of product development and improvement activities. In light of this, this paper proposes a new methodology for effectively identifyingâor âdefiningâânecessary functions (hereinafter referred to as âdefinition of functionsâ), based on Function and Behavior Representation Language (FBRL), which is a tool for ontology engineering. The paper also proposes a method for utilizing a functional diagram, which is used in functional analysis, in selecting various natural science effects in an Effects database, as well as in selecting features in a contradiction matrix. The latter part of this paper introduces a new method for definition of function and a method for using functional diagrams by examining their application in the field of agricultural machinery
