    A search for direct production of C-even resonances a2(1320) and f2(1270) in e+e- annihilation was performed with SND detector at VEPP-2M e+e- collider. The upper limits of electronic widths of these mesons were obtained at 90% confidence level: Gamma(a2(1320) \to e+e-) < 0.56 eV, Gamma(f2(1270) \to e+e-) < 0.11 eV.Comment: 6 pages, 5 figures, 1 table. New experimental data for the decays ϕμ+μ\phi\to\mu^+\mu^- and ϕπ+π\phi\to\pi^+\pi^- from SND detector

    Full text link
    The processes e+eμ+μe^+e^-\to\mu^+\mu^- and e+eπ+πe^+e^-\to\pi^+\pi^- have been studied with SND detector at VEPP-2M e+ee^+e^- collider in the vicinity of ϕ(1020)\phi(1020) resonance. The branching ratios B(ϕμ+μ)=(3.30±0.45±0.32)×104B(\phi\to\mu^+\mu^-)=(3.30\pm 0.45\pm 0.32)\times 10^{-4} and B(ϕπ+π)=(0.71±0.11±0.09)×104B(\phi\to\pi^+\pi^-)=(0.71\pm 0.11\pm 0.09)\times 10^{-4} were obtained.Comment: 5 pages, 4 figures, talk given at 8th International Conference on Hadron Spectroscopy (HADRON 99), Beijing, China, 24-28 Aug 199

    The process e+eπ+ππ0e^+e^-\to\pi^+\pi^-\pi^0 in the energy range 2E_0=1.04 - 1.38 GeV

    In the experiment with the SND detector at VEPP-2M e^+e^- collider the process e+eπ+ππ0e^+e^-\to\pi^+\pi^-\pi^0 was studied in the energy range 2E_0 from 1.04 to 1.38 GeV. A broad peak was observed with the visible mass Mvis=1220±20M_{vis}=1220\pm 20 MeV and cross section in the maximum σ04\sigma_0\simeq 4 nb. The peak can be interpreted as a ω\omega-like resonance ω(1200)\omega (1200).Comment: 10 pages LATEX and 5 figure

    First Observation of PHI(1020)--->PI0+PI0+GAMMA Decay

    Full text link
    In the SND experiment at the VEPP-2M electron-positron collider the PHI(1020)--->PI0+PI0+GAMMA decay was studied. The branching ratio B(PHI--->PI0+PI0+GAMMA)=(1.14+-0.10+-0.12)x10^{-4} was measured. It was shown, that the F0(980)GAMMA mechanism dominates in this decay and the 4-quark model of F0(980) describes our data most consistently.Comment: 6 pages, 6 figures, 1 table, Will be published in Phys.Lett.

    Anti-Search for the Glueball Candidate f_J(2220) in Two-Photon Interactions

    Full text link
    Using 13.3 fb^{-1} of e^+e^- data recorded with the CLEO II and CLEO II.V detector configurations at CESR, we have searched for f_J(2220) decays to K^0_{S} K^0_{S} in untagged two-photon interactions. We report an upper limit on the product of the two-photon partial width and the branching fraction, Gamma_gamma gamma cdot B (f_J(2220) to K^0_{S} K^0_{S}) of less than 1.1 eV at the 95% C.L: systematic uncertainties are included. This dataset is four times larger than that used in the previous CLEO publication.Comment: 10 pages postscript, also available through http://w4.lns.cornell.edu/public/CLNS, Submitted to PRD (R

    Measurements of the Branching Fractions and Helicity Amplitudes in B --> D* rho Decays

    Full text link
    Using 9.1 fb-1 of e+ e- data collected at the Upsilon(4S) with the CLEO detector using the Cornell Electron Storage Ring, measurements are reported for both the branching fractions and the helicity amplitudes for the decays B- -> D*0 rho- and B0bar -> D*+ rho-. The fraction of longitudinal polarization in B0bar -> D*+ rho- is found to be consistent with that in B0bar -> D*+ l- nubar at q^2 = M^2_rho, indicating that the factorization approximation works well. The longitudinal polarization in the B- mode is similar. The measurements also show evidence of non-trivial final-state interaction phases for the helicity amplitudes.Comment: 11 pages postscript, also available through http://w4.lns.cornell.edu/public/CLNS, submitted to PR

    First Observation of barB0 to D*0 pi+pi+pi-pi- Decays

    Full text link
    We report on the observation of B0bar -> D*0 pi+ pi+ pi- pi- decays. The branching ratio is (0.30 +/- 0.07 +/- 0.06)%. Interest in this particular mode was sparked by Ligeti, Luke and Wise who propose it as a way to check the validity of factorization tests in B0bar -> D*+ pi+ pi- pi- pi0 decays.Comment: 11 pages postscript, also available through http://w4.lns.cornell.edu/public/CLNS, Version to appear in Phys.     Measurement of the Charge Asymmetry in BK(892)±πB\to K^* (892)^{\pm}\pi^{\mp}

    Full text link
    We report on a search for a CP-violating asymmetry in the charmless hadronic decay B -> K*(892)+- pi-+, using 9.12 fb^-1 of integrated luminosity produced at \sqrt{s}=10.58 GeV and collected with the CLEO detector. We find A_{CP}(B -> K*(892)+- pi-+) = 0.26+0.33-0.34(stat.)+0.10-0.08(syst.), giving an allowed interval of [-0.31,0.78] at the 90% confidence level.Comment: 7 pages postscript, also available through http://w4.lns.cornell.edu/public/CLNS, submitted to PR
