Characterization of carbonaceous aerosol released from agricultural operations

The aerosol produced by agricultural operations has significant contribution to the atmospheric***aerosol loadings and, therefore, its impacts on visibility, climate forcing and human health should be considered. This work shows the size distribution and chemical composition of agricultural aerosols produced during ploughing, wheat harvest threshing and wheat seeding. The aerosol was sampled with an 9-stage Andersen-Marple impactor and with a modified Millipore Swinnex 47 Polypropylene filter holder within the dust plume generated by the agricultural machines
