Sawflies (Hym.: Symphyta) of Hayk Mirzayans Insect Museum with four new records for the fauna of Iran

A total of 60 species of Symphyta were identified and listed from the Hayk Mirzayans Insect Museum, Iran, of which the species Abia candens Konow, 1887; Pristiphora appendiculata (Hartig, 1837); Macrophya chrysura (Klug, 1817) and Tenthredopsis nassata (Geoffroy, 1785) are newly recorded from Iran. Distribution data and host plants are here presented for 37 sawfly species

First record of Homotropus elegans (Hym.: Ichneumonidae: Diplazontinae) from Iran

First report of the paper wasp Polistes rothneyi Cameron (Hym.: Vespidae: Polistinae) from Iran

During the course of our study on the paper wasp fauna of the Iranian province of Kerman, between 2015 and 2016, we collected 11 vespid species of which Polistes rothneyi Cameron (Hymenoptera: Vespidae: Polistinae) found to be a new  record for the Iranian fauna. Syzeuctus irrisorius (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae: Banchinae): New genus and species record for the fauna of Iran

مطالعه­ فونستیک زنبورهای زیرخانواده­ Banchinae (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae) در جنوب استان کرمان، در سال­های 1393 و 1394 با استفاده از 8 تله­ مالیز در شهرستان­های جیرفت و فاریاب انجام شد. سه گونه از این زیرخانواده به نام­های Exetastes adperssorius (Thunberg, 1824)، Lissonota pleuralis Brischke, 1880 و Syzeuctus irrisorius (Rossi, 1794) جمع­آوری و شناسائی گردیدند. گونه­ L. pleuralis برای استان کرمان و جنس و گونه­ S. irrisorius، برای فون ایران گزارش جدید می­باشند

Two new records of aphid hyperparasitoids (Hym.: Figitidae) from Iran

همراه با جمع‌آوری زنبورهای پارازیتویید شته‌ها در ایران طی سال‌های 1385-1380، تعداد چهار گونه زنبور هیپرپارازیتویید نیز جمع‌آوری و شناسایی شد که دو گونه‌ی Alloxysta fulviceps (Curtis) و A. victrix (Westwood) برای فون ایران جدید می‌باشند. گونه‌ی A. fulviceps هیپرپارازیتویید زنبور Aphidius matricariae Haliday روی شته‌ی Aphis fabae Scopoli و گونه‌ی A. victrix هیپرپارازیتویید زنبور Lysiphlebus fabarum (Marshall) روی شته‌یAphis gossypii Glover بودند

Checklist of sawflies (Hymenoptera: Symphyta) from Iran

An updated list of the sawflies (Hymenoptera: Symphyta) from Iran is provided. The list inculdes 178 species of sawflies belonging to 60 genera and 9 families. Family Tenthredinidae is the most species-rich group (131 species) followed by Argidae (18 species), Cephidae (9 species), Megalodontesidae (7 species), Cimbicidae (4 species), Pamphiliidae (3 species), Orussidae, Siricidae and Xiphydriidae (each with 2 species). Also genus Tenthredo is the most species-rich genus with 23 species followed by Macrophya (Tenthredinidae) with 17 species and Arge (Argidae) with 12 species. General distribution, synonyms and hosts associated with larvae for all recorded species are provided
