    Egg retention and dispersal activity in the parasitoid wasp, Trichogramma principium

    Effects of egg retention on movement and dispersal activity of Trichogramma principium (Hymenoptera, Trichogrammatidae) females were investigated under laboratory conditions. Individual females were observed during one minute in the absence of hosts. Movement activity and dispersal rate were estimated by the length of the track and by the distance from the start point, respectively. Before the test, all wasps during 2 – 4 days were presented with a possibility to parasitize a factitious laboratory host, Sitotroga cerealella Oliv. (Lepidoptera, Gelechiidae). Wasps that had parasitized before the test show significant reduction of spontaneous walking activity and dispersal rate when compared with females that refused to parasitize the non-preferred host (i.e. manifested egg retention). This effect cannot be considered as a direct arrestment reaction to the host because during the test period, no hosts were provided. Thus, egg retention results not only in temporal spread, but also in more intensive spatial dispersal of a group of simultaneously emerged females

    Experimental Preventive Anti-Tularemia Preparation

    Designed is an experimental preparation of a prototype chemical tularemia vaccine (PCTV). It is composed of protective antigenic complex (PAC) of tularemia microbe and S-layer protein (Slp) of plague microbe. Determined is optimum ratio of these components in the preparation and schedule of its administration. Displayed are the results of its testing as regards physical-chemical properties, reactogenicity, specific activity and impact on the immune system of laboratory animals. It is found out that preparation of the prototype is non-toxic for white mice and Guinea pigs and has no damaging effect on their immune systems. Single-stage subcutaneous immunization with PCTV induces elaboration of high-level adaptive immunity in laboratory animals within 14–21 days: specific antibody generation and stimulation of immune system cell component. PCTV protective index for white mice in case of experimental tularemia, caused by Francisella tularensis subsp. holarctica, is 87,5 % on average; in case of infecting with F. tularensis subsp. nearctica – 50 %; and high-level immunity in both cases. High potency of the experimental preparation against tularemia caused by subsp. holarctica (protective index is 75 %) and high-grade immunity persistence is verified on the model of Guinea pigs too

    Deep learning-based video stream reconstruction in mass-production diffractive optical systems

    Возможность существенно снизить массу и стоимость систем технического зрения привела к появлению большого числа работ, посвященных разработке новых оптических схем на основе дифракционной оптики и новых подходов к реконструкции получаемых изображений. Получаемые системы демонстрируют достаточное для прикладных систем технического зрения качество изображений. Однако при создании таких прикладных систем возможны источники дополнительных потерь качества получаемого видеопотока. В настоящей работе исследовано влияние на итоговое качество реконструируемого видеопотока таких факторов, как ограничения технологии массового производства дифракционной оптики, артефактов сжатия видеопотока с потерями, а также особенностей нейросетевого подхода к реконструкции. Предложена сквозная нейросетевая технология реконструкции изображений, позволяющая компенсировать дополнительные факторы потери качества и получить итоговый видеопоток с качеством, достаточным для решения прикладных задач технического зрения. Many recent studies have focused on developing image reconstruction algorithms in optical systems based on flat optics. These studies demonstrate the feasibility of applying a combination of flat optics and the reconstruction algorithms in real vision systems. However, additional causes of quality loss have been encountered in the development of such systems. This study investigates the influence on the reconstructed image quality of such factors as limitations of mass production technology for diffractive optics, lossy video stream compression artifacts, and specificities of a neural network approach to image reconstruction. The paper offers an end-to-end deep learning-based image reconstruction framework to compensate for the additional factors of quality losing.     В статье рассмотрена концепция построения хранилища данных путей передвижения для интеллектуальной транспортной системы города. Приведен математический аппарат формализованного описания транспортной системы на основе гиперсети, дуги которой являются путями передвижения. Рассмотрен рекурсивный алгоритм получения данных о путях передвижения, а также механизм использования матриц смежности по маршрутным связям. Исследования проводятся в рамках проекта АР05133699 «Исследование и разработка инновационно-телекоммуникационных технологий с использованием современных кибертехнических средств для интеллектуальной транспортной системы города». The article discusses the concept of constructing a repository of data on travel routes for the intellectual transport system of the city. The mathematical apparatus of a formalized description of a transport system based on a hypernet, whose arcs are paths of movement, is given. A recursive algorithm for obtaining data on paths of movement, as well as a mechanism for using adjacency matrices for route connections, is considered.     Al-Cu-Fe alloys with a nominal composition of Al63Cu24Fe13Al_{63}Cu_{24}Fe_{13}, Al62Cu25.5Fe12.5Al_{62}Cu_{25.5}Fe_{12.5} and Al65Cu20Fe15Al_{65}Cu_{20}Fe_{15} have been fabricated by solid-state reaction at 550, 650, and 750°C. The synthesized alloys mainly consist of icosahedral Al65Cu20Fe15Al_{65}Cu_{20}Fe_{15}, body-centered cubic β-AlFe(Cu) and monoclinic λAl13Fe4λ-Al_{13}Fe_4 phases. After synthesis under optimal conditions the fraction of the icosahedral phase was 100, 80, and 85 weight per cent in Al63Cu24Fe13Al_{63}Cu_{24}Fe_{13}, Al62Cu25.5Fe12.5Al_{62}Cu_{25.5}Fe_{12.5}, and Al65Cu20Fe15Al_{65}Cu_{20}Fe_{15}, respectively

    FEATURES OF THE OUTBREAK OF THE COMMUNITY-ACQUIRED PNEUMONIA CAUSED BY MYCOPLASMA PNEUMOINIAE AT CHILDREN IN KHABAROVSK REGION

    Aim. To study the features of outbreak of community-acquired pneumonia caused by M. pneumoniae in children in the Khabarovsk region during the autumn-winter period 2016 - 2017. Materials and methods. A study was conducted of 30 clinical samples - smears from the posterior pharyngeal wall and sputum samples obtained from patients with community-acquired pneumonia due to M. pneumoniae. Samples were examined for the presence of mutations in the 23S rRNA gene of M. pneumoniae. Results. The age ofthe patients was from 2 to 16 years. In two cases, family foci of the incidence of community-acquired pneumonia occurred. In 19 samples, a mutation was detected in 23S rRNA of M. pneumoniae. Conclusion. The data obtained indicate that in the development of the outbreak of community-acquired pneumonia caused by M. pneumoniae in children in the Khabarovsk region in the autumn-winter period 2016 - 2017, macrolide-resistant strains of the pathogen were involved

    EVALUATION OF STIMULATING EFFECT OF BIOGENIC AMINE SEROTONIN ON CAPSULE-LIKE SUBSTANCE OF FRANCISELLA TULARENSIS

    Aim. Evaluate the effect of serotonin on morphometric and topographic characteristics of cells of vaccine strain of F. tularensis 15 NIIEG (Cap+) and its non-capsule variant F. tularensis KM-9 (Cap ). Materials and methods. Analysis was carried out by methods of densitomorphometry and atomic-force microscopy. Results. Cultivation of F. tularensis 15 NIIEG (Cap+) in FT agar has shown that in the presence of serotonin the thickness of capsule-like substance, surrounding bacterial cells, has increased on average 3 times and was 95.1±0.56 nm against 31.7±0.18 nm in control (without serotonin). During similar cultivation of F. tularensis KM-9 (Cap") such phenomenon was noted detected. Capsule-like substance of tularemia microbe was established to play an important role in biofilm formation. Conclusion. The data obtained prove an importance of phenotype of tularemia microbe and allow to assume a special role of serotonin in the processes of formation of biofilm community, in which the bacteria are protected from damaging factors of the environment
