G艂贸wnym przeznaczeniem zaprojektowanego urz膮dzenia jest kontrolowany pob贸r pr膮du/mocy z pr膮dnicy pr膮du sta艂ego, kt贸ra z kolei cz臋sto wykorzystywana jest jako sterowane obci膮偶enie mechaniczne dla r贸偶nego rodzaju silnik贸w elektrycznych. Przedstawione rozwi膮zanie u艂atwia procedur臋 badawcz膮 nap臋du elektrycznego m.in. poprzez symulowanie r贸偶nego rodzaju charakterystyk obci膮偶enia mechanicznego (charakter d藕wignicowy, pr膮dnicowy, wentylatorowy). W pracy zaprezentowano budow臋 obwodu mocy, spos贸b jego sterowania oraz wyniki bada艅 uk艂adu prototypowego.Presented paper gives an overview of the design process of a programmable power electronic load system.     Effects of space vector modulation strategy on hybrid (Si-SiC) inverter losses

    This work summarizes efficiency measurement results of a full bridge, 3 phase inverter composed of state-of-the-art Si IGBT transistors and Si or SiC diodes. Different (symmetrical and discontinuous) space vector modulation strategies were chosen in order to examine their influence (together with modulation frequency) on inverter losses. Induction machine was used as load, different load points were examined. Results clearly show, that proper modulation strategy, minimizing the switching losses of semiconductor switches, can increase the overall output efficiency at about 1% in case of both silicon and hybrid constructions. The drawback of DPWM approach is connected with the decreased quality of inverter output current. Hybrid technology can also improve the output efficiency at about 1% when compared to traditional constructions, but only in case of elevated switching frequencies. At low frequencies (below 10 kHz) modern semiconductor offer comparable results at much lower device costs

Open architecture interface of the prepared control system lets the potential user test functionality of integration of diagnostic tools within the motion controller - directly, without taking into account communication with top-level CNC system

    Combustion pressure appraisal in marine diesel engine

    The practical design of the marine engine multi in-cylinder pressure acquisition system has been presented. The system operational properties and measurement methodology is aimed the online marine diesel engine applications. The design of engine combustion pressure recording system is based on piezoelectric sensors set that comprises quartz pressure element and charge amplifier, mounted on the indicator pipes, equipped with valves. The required crank degree signal is obtained from shaft encoder that is installed on the test bed engine shaft-line (free end of the hydraulic break). The encoder's TDC dedicated reference pulse is able generate simultaneously at the cylinder 1 and 6 in TDC position. The accuracy of the static crankshaft position calibration was evaluated. Additionally, a complex timing system was developed for individual cylinder TDC and crankshaft positioning definition. Before real time data acquisition starts, the number of engine cycles is defined for recording and the first pulse of each crankshaft revolution is used as trigger signal, so that all instantaneous pressure and crank angle signals acquisition can be started at the identical crankshaft position. The method provides required numbers of combustion cycles to be measured for time domain averaging and off line processing

    Analysis of the Electrical Machine with Permanent Magnets and Regulated Excitation

    The article presents some results of research on a prototype model of Electric Controlled Permanent Magnet Excited Synchronous Machine (ECPSM). In this construction, the additional coil allows to adjust the flux of permanent magnets, adding a degree of freedom to control the machine. In this way, more torque at low motor speeds and increased max speed can be achieved, without the conventional (lowering the efficiency of the drive system) techniques of weakning the field. Control algorithms of vector field orientation (FOC) were used in the research, which was implemented in a microprocessor controller. Modern DSP microcontroller was used for this purpose, which is a part of a dedicated test bench, allowing a comprehensive analysis of the machine.W artykule przedstawiono wyniki bada艅 nad modelem prototypowym maszyny elektrycznej z magnesami trwa艂ymi o regulowanym wzbudzeniu (ECPSM). W przedstawionej konstrukcji, dodatkowa cewka umo偶liwia regulacj臋 strumienia magnes贸w trwa艂ych, dodaj膮c pewien stopie艅 swobody sterowania maszyny. Dzi臋ki temu, osi膮gn膮膰 mo偶na wi臋kszy moment obrotowy w zakresie niskich pr臋dko艣ci obrotowych oraz zwi臋kszenie pr臋dko艣ci maksymalnej, bez u偶ycia tradycyjnych (obni偶aj膮cych sprawno艣膰 uk艂adu nap臋dowego) technik os艂abiania pola. W badaniach wykorzystano algorytmy sterowania z wektorow膮 orientacj臋 pola (FOC - Field Oriented Control), kt贸re zaimplementowano w autorskim sterowniku mikroprocesorowym.
