Leptonic decay widths and leptonic decay constants of light vector mesons and
weak leptonic decay widths and weak decay constants of light and heavy
pseudoscalar mesons have been studied in a field- theoretic framework based on
the independent quark model with a scalar- vector power-law potential. The

Inflation Targeting under Imperfect Credibility Based on the Aggregate Rational Inflation-Targeting Model for Bank Indonesia (ARIMBI): Lessons from the Indonesian Experience
Credibility is one of the central issues in conducting monetary policy. It is necessary in order to anchor the economic agentsâ expectation on the central bankâs inflation target. A central bank which is capable of managing the publicâs expectation of inflation in a proper manner would able to implement monetary policy more effectively and efficiently. This paper attempts to assess the role of credibility in the implementation of the inflation targeting framework in Indonesia. It illustrates how credibility may play an important role in the evolution of the Indonesian monetary policy. Knowing the degree of credibility would be beneficial for Bank Indonesia (BI) in understanding how policy instruments can be adjusted to achieve a long-term inflation target.
Impact of Changes in Management Regime on Fisheries: A Temporal Case Study of Dhir Beel in Assam
The floodplain wetlands (beels) constitute important fisheries resources of Assam. These resources are managed through a complex social framework. The state of this management regime determines the level and sustainable utilization with implications on fisheries and livelihoods. To find the impact of such management regime, a case study has been undertaken in the Dhir beel of Assam. The impact of the change in the management regime on the sustainability of fisheries and livelihoods of fishers has been evaluated. This change in the management regime has been due to immigration of a large number of people from the nearby areas since 1985. The study has compared the scenario that existed âbefore 1985â (data of 1982-84) and ĂąâŹĆafter 1985â (data of 2004). There has been a significant increase in the fishing pressure with new fishing practices (1.5 to 5 times) as well as intensity of effort (3 to 7 times). The weakening of the regulating institutions has led to irrational practices which in turn, have resulted in a decline (22.32%) in the production and productivity of the beel. The decline has been more (31.79%) in terms of value than production of fish, indicating a definite decline in the quality of the fish available in these resources. In the changed scenario, the economics of the management has gone against the resource managers as they are to spend more money on monitoring and enforcing the rules. Developmental Antecedents of Proactive and Reactive Rebelliousness: The Role of Parenting Style, Childhood Adversity, and Attachment
Adolescence is a time of developmental transition that for one in five young people is characterised by feelings of oppositionality, rebellion, and negativism. Despite the prevalent experience of teen turbulence and despite its significance within the phenomenological framework provided by reversal theory (RT), the childhood antecedents of rebelliousness in adolescence and adulthood have not been given extensive empirical attention within RT, although such work has been carried out using other constructs and theories. We examined recalled parenting style, childhood adversity, and attachment style in adulthood as correlates of proactive and reactive rebelliousness in a sample of 80 participants, aged 18 to 50 years. Each participant responded to a questionnaire package containing the revised Adult Attachment Scale, the Parental Bonding Instrument, the Childhood Experience of Care and Abuse Questionnaire, and the Negativism Dominance Scale. We found that paternal abusive parenting, followed by paternal parenting style, paternal neglect, and paternal antipathy were independently predictive of scores on proactive rebelliousness, the sensation-seeking form. Maternal and paternal indifferent parenting styles each were found to equivalently and independently predict scores on reactive rebelliousness, the interpersonal disaffection form. The results of this study suggest these two forms of rebelliousness may have distinctly different antecedents. A longitudinal study is needed to examine the potentially causal pathways that are suggested by the results of this cross-sectional research. We consider reversal theory explanations of these results and contrast them with complementary theoretical frameworks
Quantum state-dependent diffusion and multiplicative noise: a microscopic approach
The state-dependent diffusion, which concerns the Brownian motion of a
particle in inhomogeneous media has been described phenomenologically in a
number of ways. Based on a system-reservoir nonlinear coupling model we present
a microscopic approach to quantum state-dependent diffusion and multiplicative
noise in terms of a quantum Markovian Langevin description and an associated
Fokker-Planck equation in position space in the overdamped limit. We examine
the thermodynamic consistency and explore the possibility of observing a
quantum current, a generic quantum effect, as a consequence of this
state-dependent diffusion similar to one proposed by B\"{u}ttiker [Z. Phys. B

Escape rate from a metastable state weakly interacting with a heat bath driven by an external noise
Based on a system-reservoir model, where the reservoir is driven by an
external stationary, Gaussian noise with arbitrary decaying correlation
function, we study the escape rate from a metastable state in the energy
diffusion regime. For the open system we derive the Fokker-Planck equation in
the energy space and subsequently calculate the generalized non-Markovian
escape rate from a metastable well in the energy diffusion domain. By
considering the dynamics in a model cubic potential we show that the results
obtained from numerical simulation are in good agreement with the theoretical
prediction. It has been also shown numerically that the well known turnover

Enhanced Magnetism in Heterostructures with Transition-Metal Dichalcogenide Monolayers
Two-dimensional materials and their heterostructures have opened up new
possibilities for magnetism at the nanoscale. In this study, we utilize
first-principles simulations to investigate the structural, electronic, and
magnetic properties of systems
containing pristine, defective, or doped monolayers. The
proximity effects of the ferromagnetic Fe layer are studied by considering
defective and vanadium-doped monolayers. All heterostructures
are found to be ferromagnetic, and the insertion of the transition-metal
dichalcogenide results in a redistribution of spin orientation and an increased
density of magnetic atoms due to the magnetized . There is an
increase in the overall total density of states at the Fermi level due to
; however, the transition-metal dichalcogenide may lose its
distinct semiconducting properties due to the stronger than van der Waals
coupling. Spin-resolved electronic structure properties are linked to larger
spin Seebeck coefficients found in heterostructures with
