The aim of the research was to study the impact of whey protein isolate on the solubility and oxidative stability of the lipid composition based on soy phosphatidylcholine and fish oil. The relationship between the molecular parameters (density; ζ-potential) of the formed complex particles and their functional properties was found using laser light scattering (static, dynamic, electrophoretic) and spectrophotometry. The studied compositions could be used as the basis for the development of multifunctional food additives with an objective of the enrichment of foods and beverages with omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs). The main advantages of such composition are a high level of protection of the lipids against oxidation and degradation, a high solubility in an aqueous medium and the clean label. The aim of the research was to study the impact of whey protein isolate on the solubility and oxidative stability of the lipid composition based on soy phosphatidylcholine and fish oil. Introduction. This article is devoted to the comparative analysis of the Russian and British approaches to restoration of the highest mental functions in patients with neurological disorders. The applicability of development of effective programs for neuropsychological rehabilitation of neurological patients is represented, where one of the main directions is the reconstruction of higher mental functions.Results. This article shows the importance of cooperation and understanding of specialists among the multidisciplinary team in medical rehabilitation system. The history of origin of the concept «multidisciplinary approach» is cited, it was spoken about by V. M. Bekhterev for the first time, emphasizing the necessity of multidisciplinary study of neuropsychic system of a healthy and ill person. Special aspects of rehabilitation process in Russia and in England were considered. Results of the comparison of neuropsychological rehabilitation models of two countries were presented. Conclusions. Further guidelines of cooperation between Russian and foreign neuropsychologists were identified. The attention is focused on determination of rehabilitation potential and inclusion of the patient and his family in rehabilitation process as it allows to solve problems of insufficiency of motivation, a self-assessment and to prevent emotional violations, increasing quality of life of patients.

    PATHOMIMIA IN CHILDREN

    No full text
The article is dedicated to the problem of children pathomimia. Autoaggressive injuries in pediatrics are very common; they have a variety of clinical manifestations and can be a symptom of severe mental disorders. The article describes in detail the mechanisms for the formation of autoaggressive behavior, provides a classification of psychodermatoses, and describes the clinical features of the course of pathomimia in childhood and adolescence. The authors focused on the frequently occurred forms of pathomimia, which are provoked by stress factors and are transient. An approach to the treatment of skin autolesions in children has been proved and it is noted that the general treatment of pathomimia will depend on the degree of severity and manifestations of mental illness, and external therapy of psychodermatoses will lead to accelerating the regeneration of the skin lesion as well as the preventing of secondary infection

Rowell syndrome in dermatological practice (a clinical case)

    No full text
Rowell syndrome is a  rare cluster of symptoms characterized by clinical manifestation of lupus erythematosus and erythema multiforme (EM). About 100  cases of the syndrome have been reported in medical publications during the last 100 years. This may be related to misinterpretation of the symptoms and subsequent incorrect diagnosis due to its EM-like manifestations. Important clues for the diagnosis of Rowell syndrome are findings of positive rheumatoid factor, anti-nuclear antibodies and other erythematoid markers, as well as additional investigations, in particular, direct immunofluorescence technique. The paper describes a  clinical case of Rowell syndrome in a 16-year old male patient. The diagnosis was challenging due to EM-like skin manifestations and required additional laboratory work-up, as well as the patient's follow-up. The diagnosis of Rowell syndrome was based on the clinical manifestations and on such diagnostic criteria as positive rheumatoid factor and anti-nuclear antibodies, as well as histological and laboratory abnormalities characteristic of the erythematosis. The patient was hospitalized and received the following treatment: prednisolone infusion (2.5 mg/kg/daily for 7 days), chloropyramine (1 mL i.m. twice daily for 5  days), hydroxychloroquine (6.5  mg/kg daily for 5  days), magnesium asparaginate/potassium asparaginate (one tablet (166.3  mg/175  mg) 3  times daily for 7  days), topical methylprednisolone aceponate cream 1% (once daily for 7 days). The treatment resulted in positive changes in the skin lesion and improvement of his general state. This clinical observation gives an example of classic Rowell syndrome proven both by lab and clinical signs, taking into account skin symptoms of lupus erythematosus and EM-like rash
