Simplified Transfer Matrix Approach in the Two-Dimensional Ising Model with Various Boundary Conditions
A recent simplified transfer matrix solution of the two-dimensional Ising
model on a square lattice with periodic boundary conditions is generalized to
periodic-antiperiodic, antiperiodic-periodic and antiperiodic-antiperiodic
boundary conditions. It is suggested to employ linear combinations of the
resulting partition functions to investigate finite-size scaling. An exact
relation of such a combination to the partition function corresponding to
Brascamp-Kunz boundary conditions is found.Comment: Phys.Rev.E, to be publishe
The reduction of the closest disentangled states
We study the closest disentangled state to a given entangled state in any
system (multi-party with any dimension). We obtain the set of equations the
closest disentangled state must satisfy, and show that its reduction is
strongly related to the extremal condition of the local filtering on each
party. Although the equations we obtain are not still tractable, we find some
sufficient conditions for which the closest disentangled state has the same
reduction as the given entangled state. Further, we suggest a prescription to
obtain a tight upper bound of the relative entropy of entanglement in two-qubit
systems.Comment: a crucial error was correcte
The Reversed q-Exponential Functional Relation
After obtaining some useful identities, we prove an additional functional
relation for exponentials with reversed order of multiplication, as well as
the well known direct one in a completely rigorous manner.Comment: 6 pages, LaTeX, no figure
A method to find unstable periodic orbits for the diamagnetic Kepler Problem
A method to determine the admissibility of symbolic sequences and to find the
unstable periodic orbits corresponding to allowed symbolic sequences for the
diamagnetic Kepler problem is proposed by using the ordering of stable and
unstable manifolds. By investigating the unstable periodic orbits up to length
6, a one to one correspondence between the unstable periodic orbits and their
corresponding symbolic sequences is shown under the system symmetry
