Synergistic Effect of ELF-Magnetic Field and IR-Radiation on Tinnitus Patients

    No full text
The LED light therapy and magnetostimulation is an innovative method of treatment used in Viofor JPS System. Simultaneous application of both types of electromagnetic radiation increases the therapy effectiveness by the synergy effect. It is recommended in analgesic, anti-inflammatory treatment, and to support immune system of the organism. The mechanism of biological effect of variable magnetic fields and light are of similar nature at the tissue level. When applying magnetostimulation and light together, it shortens the time of therapy. The LED light therapy and magnetostimulation is supposed to be an alternative supporting method to therapies used to treat tinnitus so far

PbSrYCaCuO : a new class of superconducting materials. Chemical analyses refined by Energy Dispersive X-rays

    No full text
A new class of superconducting material - PbSrYCaCuO - has been recently synthesized. Energy Dispersive X-ray analyses of a sample prepared in our laboratory indicate that 80 % of the matrix is constituted by the Pb 2.25Sr1.95Y0.72Ca0.28Cu2.95O 8.5 compound, 12 % represents random compositions and 8 % corresponds to (Ca, Sr) CuOx compounds. Chemical cartography and maps correlation illustrate such conclusions. Some new electron diffraction data are correlated to these analyses

The Impact of the National Minimum Wage on Employment

    No full text
This report includes the findings from a meta-analysis of the empirical UK national minimum wage literature. Similar to a previous UK minimum wage study by de Linde Leonard et al. (2014), this study finds no statistically significant aggregate adverse employment effect of the NMW and also no publication bias in the NMW literature. However, estimates for different sub-groups suggest some relative larger adverse employment effects for some labour market groups like part-time employees

    HIGH TEMPERATURE SUPERCONDUCTIVITY IN Bi-Sm-Sr-Ca-Cu-O

X-ray diffraction, resistivity and magnetic susceptibility for BiSrCaCuO (2224) system and 10 % Sm substituted for Bi in (2223) system are reported. The high temperature transition at 110 K disappears when Sm is substituted while there is no major change in the lattice parameters. The possible role of Bi-O planes in the superconducting mechanism in this system is indicated
