    Abstrak Didalam setiap interaksi, orang-orang selalu melakukan sebuah komunikasi dengan orang lain. Beberapa orang beranggapan bahwa terdapat sebuah komunikasi yang membutuhkan pemahaman yang lebih baik serta perlakuan tertentu seperti halnya dalam sebuah negosiasi. Dengan kata lain, terdapat dua komunikasi yaitu komunikasi biasa dan tidak biasa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk meneliti tipe-tipe strategi kesopanan yang digunakan oleh para karakter kepada para pembajak di dalam sebuah negosiasi. Ketika berkomunikasi di sebuah negosiasi, mereka mengaplikasikan strategi kesopanan dalam rangka mencapai tujuan tertentu dan alasan tertentu.  Salah satu tujuannya adalah mencoba untuk menyelesaikan konflik dengan baik-baik diantara pihak yang bersitegang melalui negosiasi. Didalam penyelesaian konflik tersebut, para karakter  menggunakan gaya konflik komunikasi yang cocok dalam negosiasi melalui strategi kesopanan. Tujuan lain dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkap fitur-fitur yang terdapat dalam gaya konflik komunikasi dimana hal tersebut membawa keberhasilan komunikasi itu. Disisi lain, penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang mendeskripsikan ucapan-ucapan yang ada di negosiasi untuk menganalisa strategi kesopanan yang digunakan oleh para karakter. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan berasal dari pengamatan pada ucapan-ucapan di dalam situasi negosiasi. Data yang dianalisis melewati proses pengkategorian, analisis dan diskusi. Terdapat 3 ucapan mengindikasikan adanya bebarapa gaya konflik komunikasi yang melekat pada strategi kesopanan yang memberikan pengaruh. Hal ini diakibatkan karena para karakter memberikan keberhasilan pada komunikasi disaat menggunakan strategi tersebut kepada para pembajak. Kata Kunci: negosiasi, strategi kesopanan, gaya komunikasi konflik.   Abstract In everyday interaction, people are always having a communication with others. It is some said that there is a requirement for better understanding and certain treatment for particular communication such as negotiation. On the other word, there is an usual and extraordinary from various kind of communication. The aim of this study is to reveal type of politeness strategies used by the characters to the hijcakers in the negotiation. When people communicate in a negotiation, they are apply strategy of politeness to attain particular purposes for particular reasons. One of the purpose in negotiation is trying to resolve the conflict between the parties in a good ending. In the way of resolve the conflict, the characters are select the appropriate conflict communication style in the middle of the negotiation which is occured in a certain situation such negotiation through the strategy of politeness. This study also aims to hit upon the features which are having affections to bring a successful communication. In addition, this study uses a descriptive qualitative research to describe the negotiation utterances to analyze the politeness strategy used by the characters. The data are collected from the observation on the utterances in negotiation situation in the movie of Captain Phillip. The data are analyzed through the process of categorizing, analyzing and discussing. From 12 data, the result of the study shows that there are 3 utterances which are analyzed in types of conflict communication style through strategies of politeness give influences. it is because the characters bring successful communication while using those strategy to the hijackers.     New Simple and Multiple Nonparametric Regression Model Using a Standard Logistic Kernel with Application to Fire Accidents Data

    In this paper, new simple and multiple Nadaraya-Watson regression models are introduced by using a standard logistic kernel density. The statistical properties of the resulting regression functions are studied, and then the suggested models are applied to Egyptian fire accidents real data during the year 2020. Also, the suggested regression models are compared with other parametric and nonparametric regression models

    Comparative Study of Advanced Turbulence Models for Turbomachinery

    A computational study has been undertaken to study the performance of advanced phenomenological turbulence models coded in a modular form to describe incompressible turbulent flow behavior in two dimensional/axisymmetric and three dimensional complex geometry. The models include a variety of two equation models (single and multi-scale k-epsilon models with different near wall treatments) and second moment algebraic and full Reynolds stress closure models. These models were systematically assessed to evaluate their performance in complex flows with rotation, curvature and separation. The models are coded as self contained modules that can be interfaced with a number of flow solvers. These modules are stand alone satellite programs that come with their own formulation, finite-volume discretization scheme, solver and boundary condition implementation. They will take as input (from any generic Navier-Stokes solver) the velocity field, grid (structured H-type grid) and computational domain specification (boundary conditions), and will deliver, depending on the model used, turbulent viscosity, or the components of the Reynolds stress tensor. There are separate 2D/axisymmetric and/or 3D decks for each module considered. The modules are tested using Rocketdyn's proprietary code REACT. The code utilizes an efficient solution procedure to solve Navier-Stokes equations in a non-orthogonal body-fitted coordinate system. The differential equations are discretized over a finite-volume grid using a non-staggered variable arrangement and an efficient solution procedure based on the SIMPLE algorithm for the velocity-pressure coupling is used. The modules developed have been interfaced and tested using finite-volume, pressure-correction CFD solvers which are widely used in the CFD community. Other solvers can also be used to test these modules since they are independently structured with their own discretization scheme and solver methodology. Many of these modules have been independently tested by Professor C.P. Chen and his group at the University of Alabama at Huntsville (UAH) by interfacing them with own flow solver (MAST)

    La infección por Helícobacter pylori se considera un problema de salud pública por el modo de transmisión y las condiciones de salubridad que pueda mantener una población. La Organización Mundial de Salud (OMS) estima que el 50% de la población mundial tiene la infección. En panamá no se encontró registros que estimen la prevalencia de esta infección y diversos estudios confirman que esta infección es un factor de riesgo para el desarrollo de cáncer gástrico; visualizando este problema podemos decir que aumenta el costo de la atención de los pacientes que evolucionan a patologías más severas a causa de esta bacteria; que puede ser diagnosticada de forma oportuna, por medio de pruebas no invasivas representando un menor costo a la salud pública. Entre las pruebas no invasivas, la más recomendada es la que detecta antígenos en heces por tener buena sensibilidad; como también la muestra es de fácil obtención y no depende de la edad del paciente como en otros estudios, pudiéndose realizar en niños; y de este tipo de pruebas en el laboratorio contamos con dos metodologías una es la prueba de Elisa y otra es la inmunocromatografía. En Panamá el sistema de salud pública cuenta con al menos dos pruebas de laboratorio para detectar el antígeno de Helicobacter pylori, la prueba de ELISA y la Inmunocromatografía, pero no hay estudios de eficacia para estas pruebas. Por lo tanto, el objetivo de este trabajo de tesis es evaluar la eficacia de estas dos pruebas; la prueba de Elisa y la Inmunocromatografía. Para evaluar estos dos métodos participaron pacientes que fueron citados para biopsia por endoscopia en el departamento de gastroenterología del Complejo Hospitalario Dr. Arnulfo Arias Madrid, entre los meses de abril y mayo del 2017. Este trabajo permitirá tener evidencia de la eficacia de estas pruebas para recomendar con mayor certeza su efectividad en la realización; lo que permitirá brindar así buenos diagnósticos

    Advanced turbulence models for turbomachinery

    Development and assessment of the single-time-scale k-epsilon turbulence model with different near-wall treatments and the multi-scale turbulence model for rotating flows are presented. These turbulence models are coded as self contained module decks that can be interfaced with a number of CFD main flow solvers. For each model, a stand-alone module deck with its own formulation, discretization scheme, solver and boundary condition implementations is presented. These satellite decks will take as input (from a main flow solver) the velocity field, grid, boundary condition specifications and will deliver turbulent quantities as output. These modules were tested as separate entities and, although many logical and programming problems were overcome, only wider use and further testing can render the modules sufficiently 'fool proof'

    Transient sex-related changes in the mice hypothalamo–pituitary–adrenal (HPA) axis during the acute phase of the inflammatory process

    The potential role of endogenous sex hormones in regulating hypothalamo–pituitary–adrenal (HPA) axis function was investigated after a single injection of endotoxin in adult (8 week old) BALB/c mice of both sexes. The effect of LPS on plasma ACTH, corticosterone (B), testosterone and oestradiol (E) levels and on anterior pituitary (AP) ACTH and adrenal B contents at different times after treatment was studied. The results indicate that: (a) basal B but not ACTH plasma levels were significantly higher in female than in male mice; (b) LPS significantly increased both ACTH and B plasma levels over the baseline 2 h after injection, both hormone levels being higher in female than in male mice; (c) although plasma ACTH concentrations recovered the basal value at 72 h after LPS in animals of both sexes, plasma B levels returned to the baseline only at 120 h after treatment; (d) E plasma levels significantly increased 2 h after LPS and returned to the baseline at 72 h post-treatment, in both sexes; (e) at 2 h after LPS, testosterone plasma levels significantly decreased in male mice and increased in female mice, recovering the baseline level at 120 and 72 h after LPS, respectively; (f) AP ACTH content was similar in both sexes in basal condition and it was significantly diminished 72 h post-treatment without sex difference; whereas AP ACTH returned to basal content 120 h after LPS in males, it remained significantly decreased in females; (g) basal adrenal B content was higher in female than in male mice, and it significantly increased in both sexes 2 h post-LPS, maintaining this sex difference. Whereas adrenal B returned to basal content 72 h after treatment in male mice, it remained significantly enhanced up to 120 h post-LPS in female animals. The data demonstrate the existence of a clear sexual dimorphism in basal condition and during the acute phase response as well as in the recovery of the HPA axis function shortly after infection

    Spectroscopic approach of the interaction study of Ceftriaxone and human serum albumin

    Under physiological conditions, interaction between ceftriaxone and human serum albumin was investigated by using fluorescence spectroscopy and ultra violet (UV) absorption spectrum. From spectral analysis, ceftriaxone showed a strong ability to quench the intrinsic fluorescence of human serum albumin (HSA) through a static quenching procedure. The binding constant (k) is estimated as K=1.02× 103 M-1 at 298 K. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) spectroscopy with Fourier self-deconvolution technique was used to determine the protein secondary structure and drug binding mechanisms. The observed spectral changes indicated the formation of H-bonding between ceftriaxone and HSA molecules at higher percentage for -helix than for the -sheets.This work was supported by the German Research Foundation DFG Grant No. DR228/24-2

    Effet du traitement thermique sur différents propriétés de l’alliage d’aluminium AGS tréfilé inustrillement

    Dans le présent  travail, on a  étudier l’influence d’un traitement thermique  à basse température sur   l'évolution de la microstructure et quelques  propriétés  mécaniques et électriques de l’alliage d’aluminium de nuance 6101 utilisé dans l’industrie des câbles électrique. Pour cela, les fils, obtenus par tréfilage à froid, subissent un traitement à température de 170°C, pendant différents temps de maintien     (10 minutes, 4 heures, et 20 heures), ensuite les différents échantillons seront caractérisés avant et après traitement afin de suivre l’évolution de la microstructure et les propriétés mécaniques et électriques de cet alliage. Une variété des techniques expérimentales de mesure et de caractérisation nous ont permis   de mener à bien ce  travail. Il s'agit de la microscopie optique, les mesures de la microdureté et  la mesure de la résistivité électrique
