We investigate the impact of information systems management on human resource development at the Jordan Commercial Bank (JCB). The study’s sample consists of (192) employers, division chief, and manager who work in the JCB and its branches spread all over Jordan. To achieve the goals of this study a questionnaire is designed to estimate the impact of applying information systems management (building an infrastructure and improving strategic planning) on human resource development in the Jordan Commercial Bank by measuring professional growth, staff performance, and staff satisfaction as a human resource development domains. It is shown that: i) the range of information system management at the JCB has a significant positive effect in terms of organizational performance and strategic planning “from the organizational perspective”, likewise, the professional growth, job satisfaction and performance of the employees “from the personal perspective”, ii) the range of human resource development at JCB is medium, iii) there is a significant statistical effect of information system management on human resource development at JCB, iv) there is a significant statistical effect on the elements of information system management (professional development, staff performance, and staff satisfaction), v) there are no effects of (gender, employment position, and experience) on both information system management and human resource development. The research recommends that (JCB) management should concentrate on the staff satisfaction domain by giving promotions and some privileges and (JCB) management should exchange experiences with local and international banks

    E-Learning Readiness of Jordanian Universities

E-learning became very important to the universities success and it considered as one of the key success factors, in which it’s enhanced the competitive advantage and help in competing strongly in the market. Using Information technologies and sharing tools will add value to the educational process and by using these tools; the universities will have the power of innovation and creativity. E-learning helps in developing, managing and maintaining the students knowledge, on the other hand, it enhances the performance and learning capacity to remain innovation and competitive. This paper is measuring the readiness of the Jordanian universities for e-learning. It presents the main findings of a survey conducted to evaluate the e-learning readiness. The survey helped in analyzing three levels used for the measurement: ICT infrastructure, universities lecturers and students’ readiness, and the maturity of the external environment. Keywords: E-learning, IT infrastructure, Demand, External Environment, and HR readiness

In this research the structural modification of gelatin(A1) was carried out with maleic anhydride as a grafted copolymer(A2) to enhance and add new function groups such as acid anhydride which can used to be easy substituted with amino drug such as Amoxilline (A3) ,this design of carries for controlled delivery of therapeutic agent which could release the entrapped drug over an extended period of time ,due to its non toxic ,biodegradable and slow digesting nature ,the new drug carries copolymer was characterized by FTIR and UV Spectroscopes. Thermal analysis was studied the prepared drug copolymer was analyzed in different pH values.at 37C0,as  in vitro study and controlled drug release was compared at zero time and after four days .Swelling percentage were calculated in water ,acidic and  basic medium . Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) covers a wide range of over 100 healing approaches, philosophies and therapeutic modalities that are not provided by conventional medicine. Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) covers a wide range of healing approaches not provided by conventional medicine. Objectives: The study was aimed at identifying the prevalence , types and determinants of CAM use,  sources of information about CAM that patients usually depend upon and  reasons of using CAM, Methods: : A cross-sectional survey was used to collect data from random consecutive patients attending  two PHC centres out of ten which was selected randomly in Abha city. All the patients more than 18 years attended to the clinic during two months (March & April) /2014 was included in the study. Results: The present study included 504 patients attending the PHC centres. The mean age of the participants was  47.6 ± 10.2 years. 232(46.0%)  were Males and 272(54.0%) were females. The majority of participants were Saudi ((88.7%)) and Muslims (96.4%). Most of the participants were Illiterate or school level (82.1%) and less than half of them (42.9%) had  enough family income > 10,000 SR. About three fourths of the participants were born in city, most of them were non smokers (81.9%) and about one third of them had self-perceived stress level more than 5. About one third  (36.9%) of participants reported using CAM during the 12 months preceded the study. About half of the participants used CAM due to the personal and family beliefs and because of friends advice ( 63.4% & 46.8% ) respectively. More than half of CAM users used it regularly. 58.6% of CAM users Feeling physically & psychologically better after using it and most of them did not reported any side effects after using CAM.  Conclusions: Use of CAM is prevalent among patients attending  health clinics in Abha City. CAM is commonly used by all age groups. The significant factors found to increase the likelihood of CAM use were Saudi nationality, Illiterate and the place of birth, there were a statistical significant increase  of using CAM among participants born in village. However, factors like age, gender, income, religion, smoking and perceived stress level did not prove to be statistically significant and thus did not affect CAM prevalence significantly. Most families has strong personal belief on CAM Because of the Belief that CAM builds up the body’s own defenses and promotes self-healing and has less side effects. Higher Dimensional Taub-NUTs and Taub-Bolts in Einstein-Maxwell Gravity

We present a class of higher dimensional solutions to Einstein-Maxwell equations in d-dimensions. These solutions are asymptotically locally flat, de-Sitter, or anti-de Sitter space-times. The solutions we obtained depend on two extra parameters other than the mass and the nut charge. These two parameters are the electric charge, q and the electric potential at infinity, V, which has a non-trivial contribution. We Analyze the conditions one can impose to obtain Taub-Nut or Taub-Bolt space-times, including the four-dimensional case. We found that in the nut case these conditions coincide with that coming from the regularity of the one-form potential at the horizon. Furthermore, the mass parameter for the higher dimensional solutions depends on the nut charge and the electric charge or the potential at infinity.Comment: 11 pages, LaTe

A Bestiary of Higher Dimensional Taub-NUT-AdS Spacetimes

We present a menagerie of solutions to the vacuum Einstein equations in six, eight and ten dimensions. These solutions describe spacetimes which are either locally asymptotically adS or locally asymptotically flat, and which have non-trivial topology. We discuss the global structure of these solutions, and their relevance within the context of M-theory.Comment: 11 pages, LaTex(v4: Comments and references added
