The arithmetic of QM-abelian surfaces through their Galois representations
This note provides an insight to the diophantine properties of abelian
surfaces with quaternionic multiplication over number fields. We study the
fields of definition of the endomorphisms on these abelian varieties and the
images of the Galois representations on their Tate modules. We illustrate our

Lithium Ionization by a Strong Laser Field
We study ab initio computations of the interaction of Lithium with a strong
laser field. Numerical solutions of the time-dependent fully-correlated
three-particle Schroedinger equation restricted to the one-dimensional
soft-core approximation are presented. Our results show a clear transition from
non-sequential to sequential double ionization for increasing intensities. Non
sequential double ionization is found to be sensitive to the spin configuration
of the ionized pair. This asymmetry, also found in experiments of
photoionization of Li with synchrotron radiation, shows the evidence of the
influence of the exclusion principle in the underlying rescattering mechanism
A non-solvable extension of \Q unramified outside 7
We consider a mod 7 Galois representation attached to a genus 2 Siegel
cuspforms of level 1 and weight 28 and using some of its Fourier coefficients
and eigenvalues computed by N. Skoruppa and the classification of maximal
subgroups of PGSp(4,p) we show that its image is as large as possible. This
gives a realization of PGSp(4,7) as a Galois group over \Q and the
corresponding number field provides a non-solvable extension of \Q which
ramifies only at 7
