ONLINE FEEDBACK IMPACT ONLINE SHOPPERS' IMPULSE PURCHASES IN MALAYSIA
Online shopping has risen to the third position among Malaysians who use the Internet. Typically, past customer online reviews are deciding factors for an online business's success or failure because online consumers encounter online reviews while visiting a website, and it has a direct effect on their ability to purchase impulsively and online impulse buying conduct. The majority of previous research on market-generated context as a factor in online impulse buying behaviour has concentrated on the market-generated background. As a result, this research identified two types of online reviews as independent variables: hedonic and utilitarian value online reviews, browsing, and willingness to buy impulsively as mediating and moderating variables. While online impulse buying behaviour a dependent variable. This study only involves online shoppers who have made at least one purchase on both Lazada Malaysia and Shopee Malaysia websites. This study took a quantitative approach, with 100 responses collected from online shoppers who had made at least one purchase on Shopee Malaysia and Lazada Malaysia through an online questionnaire. Due to the deletion of one straight-lining response, 99 responses were subjected to data analysis using SmartPLS software. According to the results, hedonic value online reviews influence browsing, and browsing influences the urge to buy impulsively and directly to online impulse purchasing
Progression-Guided Temporal Action Detection in Videos
We present a novel framework, Action Progression Network (APN), for temporal
action detection (TAD) in videos. The framework locates actions in videos by
detecting the action evolution process. To encode the action evolution, we
quantify a complete action process into 101 ordered stages (0\%, 1\%, ...,
100\%), referred to as action progressions. We then train a neural network to
recognize the action progressions. The framework detects action boundaries by
detecting complete action processes in the videos, e.g., a video segment with
detected action progressions closely follow the sequence 0\%, 1\%, ..., 100\%.
The framework offers three major advantages: (1) Our neural networks are
trained end-to-end, contrasting conventional methods that optimize modules
separately; (2) The APN is trained using action frames exclusively, enabling
models to be trained on action classification datasets and robust to videos
with temporal background styles differing from those in training; (3) Our
framework effectively avoids detecting incomplete actions and excels in
detecting long-lasting actions due to the fine-grained and explicit encoding of
the temporal structure of actions. Leveraging these advantages, the APN
achieves competitive performance and significantly surpasses its counterparts
in detecting long-lasting actions. With an IoU threshold of 0.5, the APN
achieves a mean Average Precision (mAP) of 58.3\% on the THUMOS14 dataset and
98.9\% mAP on the DFMAD70 dataset.Comment: Under Review. Code available at https://github.com/makecent/AP
EXAMINING KEY DRIVERS FOR ONLINE IMPULSE BUYING IN MALAYSIANâS PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES STUDENTS
With the current growth of the internet, there are signs of e-commerce in Malaysia growing and booming, such as Lazada, Mudah.my, Shopee, and others. Malaysians have been increasingly reliant on the internet to obtain product details and to make purchases. This motivates e-commerce entrepreneurs to devise a new strategy for increasing sales by increasing the rate of online impulse purchases among visitors to online shopping platforms. The aim of this research is to look into the connection between key-driven and online impulse buying. The aim of this research is to create a framework that represents the main drivers of online impulse buying among Malaysian public universities. The study also addresses empirical results from a 303-respondent online survey conducted with SPSS version 22.0 and Smart-PLS version 3.0. The research paradigm is focused on the Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB) Model, which includes online impulse buying as a dependent variable and three independent variables (Flow Experience, Perceived Usefulness, and Trust). Non-probability methods, judgement sampling, and convenience sampling were used to select respondents in this research, who ranged in age from 19 to over 30 years old and were university students in Malaysia. In addition, this research paves the way for future studies by identifying relevant online purchase platform providers and product categories to conduct a new study
FACTORS INFLUENCE CUSTOMERS PURCHASE INTENTION TOWARDS HYPERMARKETS AT KOTA BHARU, KELANTAN
The study's goal was to look into the relationship between price, product quality, and interior atmosphere and customers' purchasing intentions in the Kota Bharu, Kelantan area. Kota Bharu Mall, Aeon, Billion, Tesco, Mydin, Giant, and Pantai Timur Hypermarket were among the hypermarkets studied. Furthermore, this study was carried out to establish what the most influential variables are that which affect consumers' buying intentions and, as a result, how they choose their favourite hypermarket. The independent variables in this study were price, product quality, and interior atmospheric, while the dependent variable was purchasing intention. In this research, a questionnaire survey was used to collect data from customers at seven hypermarkets in Kota Bharu. A total of 417 accurate and usable questionnaires were collected, with responses reported on a four-point Likert-type scale, with one indicating strong disagreement and four indicating strong agreement. All of the independent variables were found to be strongly related to the dependent variables in the sample. Product quality has the highest positive correlation with purchasing intention following by Interior atmospheric and price came in second and third. This demonstrates that even minor changes in all of the independent variables have an impact on purchasing intent
Effect of total flavones of buckwheat flowers and leaves on protein tyrosine phosphatase 1B expression in type 2 diabetic rats
The total flavone content was obtained from flowers and leaf of buckwheat (Fagopyrum esculentum Moench) by heating reflux method. The effects of the total flavone extract on the protein tyrosine phosphatase 1B (PTP1B) expression in type 2 diabetic rats were evaluated by immunofluorescence, western blotting and real-time quantitative PCR. The results suggested that the total flavone fraction from buckwheat flowers and leaves can significantly decrease the PTP1B expression in liver.Colegio de Farmacéuticos de la Provincia de Buenos Aire
Treatment of Idiopathic Parkinson's Disease with Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine: A Randomized Placebo-Controlled Pilot Clinical Study
The objective of this clinical study is to examine the effects of a Chinese herbal medicine formula (Jia Wei Liu Jun Zi Tang: JWLJZT) on motor and non-motor symptoms, and on complications of conventional therapy in idiopathic Parkinson's disease (PD), using an add-on design. Fifty-five patients with PD were randomly allocated to receive either Chinese herbal medicine or placebo for 24 weeks. Primary outcome measure was the 39-item Parkinson's Disease Questionnaire (PDQ-39). Secondary outcome measures included the Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale (UPDRS), Short-Form-36 Health Survey (SF-36), Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS), home diaries, and a range of category rating scales. JWLJZT resulted in a significant improvement in the UPDRS IVC when compared with placebo at 12 weeks (P = .039) and 24 weeks (P = .034). In addition, patients in the Chinese herbal medicine group also showed significant improvement in PDQ-39 communication scores at 12 weeks (P = .024) and 24 weeks (P = .047) when compared with the placebo group. There were no significant differences between treatment and control groups for SF-36 variables, GDS score or the mean daily âon-offâ time. One case of mild diarrhea was noted in the treatment group. The findings suggest that JWLJZT can relieve some non-motor complications of conventional therapy and improve the communication ability in patients with PD. The results of this pilot study warrant larger multi-center clinical studies to assess long-term efficacy and tolerability of JWLJZT, and to elucidate the mechanisms by which it affects PD function
Ecosystem-Driven Design of In-Home Terminals Based on Open Platform for the
AbstractâIn-home healthcare services based on the Internet-of-Things (IoT) have great business potentials. To turn it into reality, a business ecosystem should be established first. Technical solutions should therefore aim for a cooperative ecosystem by meeting the interoperability, security, and system integration requirements. In this paper, we propose an ecosystem-driven design strategy and apply it in the design of an open-platform-based in-home healthcare terminal. A cooperative business ecosystem is formulated by merging the traditiona

Quantum computers have made extraordinary progress over the past decade, and
significant milestones have been achieved along the path of pursuing universal
fault-tolerant quantum computers. Quantum advantage, the tipping point
heralding the quantum era, has been accomplished along with several waves of
breakthroughs. Quantum hardware has become more integrated and architectural
compared to its toddler days. The controlling precision of various physical
systems is pushed beyond the fault-tolerant threshold. Meanwhile, quantum
computation research has established a new norm by embracing industrialization
and commercialization. The joint power of governments, private investors, and
tech companies has significantly shaped a new vibrant environment that
accelerates the development of this field, now at the beginning of the noisy
intermediate-scale quantum era. Here, we first discuss the progress achieved in
the field of quantum computation by reviewing the most important algorithms and
advances in the most promising technical routes, and then summarizing the
next-stage challenges. Furthermore, we illustrate our confidence that solid
foundations have been built for the fault-tolerant quantum computer and our
optimism that the emergence of quantum killer applications essential for human
society shall happen in the future
