Neutrino self-polarization effect in matter
The quasi-classical theory of the spin light of neutrino () in
background matter, accounting for the neutrino polarization, is developed. The
neutrino transitions and rates in
matter are calculated. It is shown that the in matter leads to the
neutrino conversion from active to sterile states (neutrino

Does the Borexino experiment have enough resolution to detect the neutrino flavor day-night asymmetry?
The Earth's density distribution can be approximately considered piecewise
continuous at the scale of two-flavor oscillations of neutrinos with energies
about 1 MeV. This quite general assumption appears to be enough to analytically
calculate the day-night asymmetry factor. Using the explicit time averaging
procedure, we show that, within the leading-order approximation, this factor is
determined by the electron density immediately before the detector, i.e. in the
Earth's crust. Within the approximation chosen, the resulting asymmetry factor
does not depend either on the properties of the inner Earth's layers or on the
substance and the dimensions of the detector. For beryllium neutrinos, we
arrive at the asymmetry factor estimation of about , which
is at least one order of magnitude beyond the present experimental resolution,

Mirror-assisted tuning of laser stabilization via self-injection locking to WGM microresonator
Self-injection locking is a dynamic phenomenon which provides passive
stabilization of a lasers emission frequency via resonant optical feedback. The
stabilization coefficient depends on the level of resonant feedback and quality
factor of the external resonant structure creating the feedback. Usually a
self-injection locked laser (SIL) involves barely tunable resonant Rayleigh
scattering (RRS). In this work we study theoretically a scheme of a SIL to a
high-Q microresonator with drop-port coupled mirror, in which optical feedback
level is optimally adjusted by the tuning the drop-port mirror coupling. We
show that the additional reflector can improve the laser stabilization and
power handling efficiency if compared with the classic RRS-based scheme
Traditional nutrition of Indigenous Peoples in the Arctic zone of Western Siberia : challenges and impact on food security and health
The chapter presents traditional nutrition as a part of the traditional culture of the nomadic Indigenous population in the Arctic zone of Western Siberia. Traditional nutrition effectively prevents health problems and enables people to adapt to the harsh climate conditions of the High North. This chapter analyses the implementation of Russian national policies on traditional reindeer herding in this region that is affected by issues of food security and food sovereignty. Export trends of traditional products have decreased local Indigenous Peoplesβ access to venison, negatively impacting their health
