Comment on ``Fragmented Condensate Ground State of Trapped Weakly Interacting Bosons in Two Dimensions"

Recently Liu et al. [PRL 87, 030404 (2001)] examined the lowest state of a weakly-interacting Bose-Einstein condensate. In addition to other interesting results, using the method of the pair correlation function, they questioned the validity of the mean-field picture of the formation of vortices and stated that the vortices are generated at the center of the cloud. This is in apparent contradiction to the Gross-Pitaevskii approach, which predicts that the vortices successively enter the cloud from its outer parts as L/N (where N is the number of atoms in the trap and hbar(L) is the angular momentum of the system) increases. We have managed to reproduce the results of Liu et al. however a more careful analysis presented below confirms the validity of the mean-field approach.Comment: 1 page, RevTex, 2 figure

Construction and optical-electrical properties of inorganic/organic heterojunction nanostructures

    Get PDF
We have designed and synthesized a series of ordered inorganic/organic hybrid aggregate nanostructures of by self-assembly and self-organizing technique. The process and mechanism of growing hybrid aggregate nanostructures have been studied. The ability to tune the size and morphologies of hybrid aggregate nanostructures has been achieved by controlling reaction conditions. The effects of morphologies and size dependent on electrical and optical properties have been demonstrated. These semiconductor molecular hybrid aggregate nanostructures exhibit interesting electrical, optical, and optoelectronic properties for use in next-generation electronic and optoelectronic devices. Optimal entanglement witnesses based on local orthogonal observables

We show that the entanglement witnesses based on local orthogonal observables which are introduced in [S. Yu and N.-L. Liu, Phys. Rev. Lett. 95, 150504 (2005)] and [O. G\"uhne, M. Mechler, G. T\'oth and P. Adam, Phys. Rev. A 74, 010301 (2006)] in linear and nonlinear forms can be optimized, respectively. As applications, we calculate the optimal nonlinear witnesses of pure bipartite states and show a lower bound on the I-concurrence of bipartite higher dimensional systems with our method.Comment: 6 pages, 1 figure; minor changes, references adde
