Correlators of currents corresponding to the massive -form fields in AdS/CFT correspondence
By solving the equations of motion of massive -form potential in
Anti-de-Sitter space and using the correspondence of Maldacena, the
generating functional of two-point correlation functions of the currents is
obtained. When the mass parameter vanishes the result agrees with the known
massless case.Comment: 1+12 pages. Sequel to hep-th/9809132(the massless case with different

Probabilistic Latent Semantic Analyses (PLSA) in Bibliometric Analysis for Technology Forecasting
Due to the availability of internet-based abstract services and patent databases, bibliometric analysis has become one of key technology forecasting approaches. Recently, latent semantic analysis (LSA) has been applied to improve the accuracy in document clustering. In this paper, a new LSA method, probabilistic latent semantic analysis (PLSA) which uses probabilistic methods and algebra to search latent space in the corpus is further applied in document clustering. The results show that PLSA is more accurate than LSA and the improved iteration method proposed by authors can simplify the computing process and improve the computing efficiencyDebido a la disponibilidad de servicios abstractos de internet y bases de datos de patentes, un análisis bibliométrico se ha transformado en una aproximación clave de sondeo de tecnologías. A MEMS device for continuously tunable optical buffering
We present design and fabrication of free-standing InP optical waveguides for MEMS-actuated optical buffering. A continuously tunable delay time of 10ps is predicted in a 1mm long device with the operation voltage of 3V
Influence of micron WC addition on the microstructure and mechanical properties of ultrafine WC–Co cemented carbides at the elevated temperature
In this paper, the influence of micron-grained WC additions with the different grain sizes on the microstructure and hardness of ultrafine WC–Co cemented carbides at the elevated temperature were investigated by the scanning electron microscope and mechanical properties test. The Vickers hardness and transverse rupture strength of hardmetals were measured at temperatures ranging from room temperature to 800 °C. The results show that the addition of micron-sized WC particles can lead to the increase of fracture toughness and slow the decreasing of hardness at the elevated temperature. Intranasal SARS-CoV-2 spike-based immunisation adjuvanted with polyethyleneimine elicits mucosal and systemic humoral responses in mice
The SARS-CoV-2 pandemic continues despite the presence of effective vaccines, and novel vaccine approaches may help to reduce viral spread and associated COVID-19 disease. Current vaccine administration modalities are based on systemic needle-administered immunisation which may be suboptimal for mucosal pathogens. Here we demonstrate in a mouse model that small-volume intranasal administration of purified spike (S) protein in the adjuvant polyethylenemine (PEI) elicits robust antibody responses with modest systemic neutralisation activity. Further, we test a heterologous intranasal immunisation regimen, priming with S and boosting with RBD-Fc. Our data identify small volume PEI adjuvantation as a novel platform with potential for protective mucosal vaccine development
Complete population transfer in a degenerate 3-level atom
We find conditions required to achieve complete population transfer, via
coherent population trapping, from an initial state to a designated final state
at a designated time in a degenerate 3-level atom, where transitions are caused
by an external interaction. Complete population transfer from an initially
occupied state 1 to a designated state 2 occurs under two conditions. First,
there is a constraint on the ratios of the transition matrix elements of the
external interaction. Second, there is a constraint on the action integral over
the interaction, or "area", corresponding to the phase shift induced by the
external interaction. Both conditions may be expressed in terms of simple odd
integers.Comment: 22 pages, 4 figure
Influence of intensive melt shearing on the microstructure and mechanical properties of an Al-Mg alloy with high added impurity content
The official published version can be accessed from the link below - Copyright @ The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society and ASM International 2011We have investigated the influence of melt conditioning by intensive shearing on the mechanical behavior and microstructure of Al-Mg-Mn-Fe-Cu-Si alloy sheet produced from a small book mold ingot with high added impurity content. The melt conditioned ingot has fine grains throughout its cross section, whereas a conventionally cast ingot, without melt shearing, has coarser grains and shows a wider variation of grain size. Both needle-shaped and coarse Chinese script iron bearing intermetallic particles are found in the microstructure at the center of the conventionally processed ingot, but for the melt conditioned ingot, only fine Chinese script intermetallic particles are observed. In addition to the iron bearing intermetallics, Mg2Si particles are also observed. The ingots were rolled to thin sheet and solution heat treated (SHT). During rolling, the iron-based intermetallics and Mg2Si particles are broken and aligned along the rolling direction. Yield strength (YS), ultimate tensile strength (UTS), and elongation of the intensively melt sheared and processed sheet are all improved compared to the conventionally cast and processed sheet. Fractographic analysis of the tensile fracture surfaces shows that the clustered and coarse iron bearing intermetallic particles are responsible for the observed reduction in mechanical properties of the conventionally cast sheet. We have shown that by refining the initial microstructure of the ingot by intensive shear melt conditioning, it is possible to achieve improved mechanical properties at the final sheet gage of an AlMgMn alloy with a high content of impurities. This study is under the Technology

Anomalous behavior of spin wave resonances in Ga_{1-x}Mn_{x}As thin films
We report ferromagnetic and spin wave resonance absorption measurements on
high quality epitaxially grown Ga_{1-x}Mn_{x}As thin films. We find that these
films exhibit robust ferromagnetic long-range order, based on the fact that up
to seven resonances are detected at low temperatures, and the resonance
structure survives to temperatures close to the ferromagnetic transition. On
the other hand, we observe a spin wave dispersion which is linear in mode
number, in qualitative contrast with the quadratic dispersion expected for
homogeneous samples. We perform a detailed numerical analysis of the
experimental data and provide analytical calculations to demonstrate that such
a linear dispersion is incompatible with uniform magnetic parameters. Our
theoretical analysis of the ferromagnetic resonance data, combined with the
knowledge that strain-induced anisotropy is definitely present in these films,
suggests that a spatially dependent magnetic anisotropy is the most likely
reason behind the anomalous behavior observed.Comment: 9 pages, including 6 figure
Glueball spectrum based on a rigorous three-dimensional relativistic equation for two-gluon bound states I: Derivation of the relativistic equation
A rigorous three-dimensional relativistic equation satisfied by two-gluon
bound states is derived from the QCD with massive gluons. With the gluon fields
and the quark fields being expanded in terms of the gluon multipole fields and
the spherical Dirac spinors respectively, the equation is well established in
the angular momentum representation and hence is much convenient for solving
the problem of two-gluon glueball spectra. In particular, the interaction
kernel in the equation is exactly derived and given a closed expression which
includes all the interactions taking place in the two-gluon glueballs. The
kernel contains only a few types of Green's functions and commutators.
Therefore, it is not only easily calculated by the perturbation method, but
also provides a suitable basis for nonperturbative investigations
