Thoughts and Targeted Initiatives for the Nurturing of Youth Football Reserve Talents in China
In order to strengthen the foundation for the cultivation of Chinese youth football reserve talents, a systematic review of the current ideas on the development of Chinese youth football reserve talents is conducted, and based on this, a targeted response is derived from it. The study concludes that the cultivation of Chinese youth football reserve talents should be based on the country and the world in a hierarchical and directional manner, with emphasis on the integration of the excellent Chinese traditional culture at the primary school level and the absorption of outstanding foreign achievements and experience at the secondary school level, and the promotion of three types of policy tools, namely the supply side, the demand side and the environment side, to form a protective synergy for the cultivation of youth football reserve talents, so as to build an effective and long-term development strategy that will benefit the present and the future. The aim is to speed up the construction of a reserve pool of Chinese youth football talents, improve the international competitiveness and influence of Chinese football, and contribute to the early realisation of the Chinese football dream
Strong convergence of inertial extragradient algorithms for solving variational inequalities and fixed point problems
The paper investigates two inertial extragradient algorithms for seeking a
common solution to a variational inequality problem involving a monotone and
Lipschitz continuous mapping and a fixed point problem with a demicontractive
mapping in real Hilbert spaces. Our algorithms only need to calculate the
projection on the feasible set once in each iteration. Moreover, they can work
well without the prior information of the Lipschitz constant of the cost
operator and do not contain any line search process. The strong convergence of
the algorithms is established under suitable conditions. Some experiments are
presented to illustrate the numerical efficiency of the suggested algorithms
and compare them with some existing ones.Comment: 25 pages, 12 figure
Generalized monotonicity and convexity of non-differentiable functions
AbstractThe relationships between (strict, strong) convexity of non-differentiable functions and (strict, strong) monotonicity of set-valued mappings, and (strict, strong, sharp) pseudo convexity of non-differentiable functions and (strict, strong) pseudo monotonicity of set-valued mappings, as well as quasi convexity of non-differentiable functions and quasi monotonicity of set-valued mappings are studied in this paper. In addition, the relations between generalized convexity of non-differentiable functions and generalized co-coerciveness of set-valued mappings are also analyzed
Formalization of Discrete-time Markov Chains in HOL
Markov chains are extensively used in the modeling and analysis of engineering and scientific problems which can be expressed as random processes with the memoryless property. Usually, paper-and-pencil proofs, simulation or computer algebra software are used to analyze Markovian models. However, these techniques either are not scalable or do not guarantee accurate results, which are vital in safety-critical systems. To improve the accuracy of the analysis, probabilistic model checking has been recently proposed to formally analyze Markovian systems. However, model checking suffers from the inherent state-explosion problem and thus has a very limited scope in terms of analyzing Markovian models.\newline
\indent In order to overcome the above mentioned limitations, this thesis advocates the usage of higher-order-logic theorem proving for conducting the analysis of Markov chains. We present the higher-order-logic formalization of Discrete-time Markov Chains with finite number of discrete states. We also verify some of their most widely used properties using a theorem prover. These foundations allow us to formally express and reason about Markov chains within the sound core of a theorem prover and thus attain precise results. Moreover, by building upon these foundational results, this thesis also presents the formalization of classified discrete-time Markov chains and hidden Markov chains in higher-order logic. These are widely used concepts in the analysis of Markovian models and thus allow us to tackle the formal analysis of a wide range of engineering and scientific systems. For illustration purposes, the thesis also presents some applications including a binary communication channel, the automatic mail quality measurement (AMQM) protocol, a DNA sequence, a least recently used (LRU) stack model and the birth-death process
Wavelet-based option pricing: An empirical study
In this paper, we adopt a wavelet-based option valuation model and empirically compare the pricing and forecasting performance of this model with that of the stochastic volatility model with jumps and the spline method. Both the in-sample valuation and out-of-sample forecasting accuracy are examined using daily index options in the UK, Germany, and Hong Kong from January 2009 to December 2012. Our results show that the wavelet-based model compares favorably with the other two models and that it provides an excellent alternative for valuing option prices. Its superior performance comes from the powerful ability of the wavelet method in approximating the risk-neutral moment-generating functions
Multidimensional Meaning, Existing Problems and Optimization Path for the Management of Coaches in Chinese University Basketball League
A well-managed level of competition and training by coaches is an essential catalyst for the achievement of talent development goals in the Chinese University Basketball League. This study compares the multi-dimensional meaning of the management of coaches in the Chinese College Basketball League, and analyses the existing management problems based on the SMART principle, the 4P model of human resource management, and the GROW model, to propose feasible measures to optimize the management of coaches. This research aims to provide a theoretical reference and practical basis for the improvement of the management and to provide a driving force for the realization of the long-term goal of talent training in the Chinese University Basketball League
