    Discussion on application of artificial intelligence robot in fire prevention and rescue

    With the development of science and technology and the progress of society, fi re has become a common and serious disaster. The traditional means of fi re prevention and rescue in some cases have a certain degree of limitations, therefore, the application of artifi cial intelligence robot in fire prevention and rescue has attracted much attention. Artificial intelligence robot has the ability of autonomous perception, decision-making and execution, which can eff ectively deal with fi re accidents and provide new solutions for fi re prevention and control. The purpose of this paper is to systematically discuss the application of artifi cial intelligence robot in fi re prevention and rescue, analyze the robot’s perception ability, decision-making ability and execution effect in the fire scene, and put forward the methods and suggestions to solve the relevant problems.     Hydrogen Sulfide Signaling Axis as a Target for Prostate Cancer Therapeutics

    Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) was originally considered toxic at elevated levels; however just in the past decade H2S has been proposed to be an important gasotransmitter with various physiological and pathophysiological roles in the body. H2S can be generated endogenously from L-cysteine by multiple enzymes, including cystathionine gamma-lyase, cystathionine beta-synthase, and 3-mercaptopyruvate sulfurtransferase in combination with cysteine aminotransferase. Prostate cancer is a major health concern and no effective treatment for prostate cancers is available. H2S has been shown to inhibit cell survival of androgen-independent, androgen-dependent, and antiandrogen-resistant prostate cancer cells through different mechanisms. Various H2S-releasing compounds, including sulfide salts, diallyl disulfide, diallyl trisulfide, sulforaphane, and other polysulfides, also have been shown to inhibit prostate cancer growth and metastasis. The expression of H2S-producing enzyme was reduced in both human prostate cancer tissues and prostate cancer cells. Androgen receptor (AR) signaling is indispensable for the development of castration resistant prostate cancer, and H2S was shown to inhibit AR transactivation and contributes to antiandrogen-resistant status. In this review, we summarized the current knowledge of H2S signaling in prostate cancer and described the molecular alterations, which may bring this gasotransmitter into the clinic in the near future for developing novel pharmacological and therapeutic interventions for prostate cancer

    Towards using concurrent Java API correctly

    Concurrent Programs are hard to analyze or debug due to the complex program logic and unpredictable execution environment. In practice, ordinary programmers often adopt existing well-designed concurrency related API (e.g., those in java.util.concurrent) so as to avoid dealing with these issues. These API can however often be used incorrectly, which results in hardto-debug concurrent bugs. In this work, we propose an approach for enforcing the correct usage of concurrency-related Java API. Our idea is to annotate concurrency-related Java classes with annotations related to misuse of these API and develop lightweight type checker to detect concurrent API misuse based on the annotations. To automate this process, we need to solve two problems: (1) how do we obtain annotations of the relevant API; and (2) how do we systematically detect concurrent API misuse based on the annotations? We solve the first problem by extracting annotations from the API documentation using natural language processing techniques. We solve the second problem by implementing our type checkers in the Checker Framework to detect concurrent API misuse. We apply our approach to extract annotations for all classes in the Java standard library and use them to detect concurrent API misuse in open source projects on GitHub. We confirm that concurrent API misuse is common and often results in bugs or inefficiency.No Full Tex

    Efficient 3-D Large-Scale Forward Modeling and Inversion of Gravitational Fields in Spherical Coordinates With Application to Lunar Mascons

    A novel efficient forward modeling algorithm of gravitational fields in spherical coordinates is developed for 3D large-scale gravity inversion problems. 3D Gauss-Legendre quadrature (GLQ) is used to calculate the gravitational fields of mass distributions discretized into tesseroids. Equivalence relations in the kernel matrix of the forward-modeling are exploited to decrease storage and computation time. The numerical investigations demonstrate that the computation time of the proposed algorithm is reduced by approximately two orders of magnitude, and the memory requirement is reduced by N'l times compared with the traditional GLQ method, where N'l is the number of model elements in the longitudinal direction. These significant improvements in computational efficiency and storage make it possible to calculate and store the dense Jacobian matrix in 3D large-scale gravity inversions. The equivalence relations could be equally applied to the Taylor series method or combined with the adaptive discretization to ensure high accuracies

    Evaluation of the new rural cooperative medical system in China: is it working or not?

    <p>Abstract</p> <p>Background</p> <p>To prove the possibility of implementing the New Rural Cooperative Medical System (NRCMS) at different levels with a premium funding according to their economic level in developed and less developed areas in Guangdong province, and study the insurable inpatients in different types of regions, taking into account limitations of indemnities and loss ratios.</p> <p>Method</p> <p>All data samples were randomly collected from the NRCMS Department, Guangdong Province. Gross domestic product (GDP) at 10000 Yuan per capita was employed to divide Guangdong into two economic levels: (1) economically developed & (2) less economically developed regions. A descriptive analysis about tendency of raising premium and reimbursement ratios of common fund was performed with independent samples and t-test as well as implementing a model to evaluate the differences in premium contribution differences in co-payments, thresholds, and rebates. Also, a qualitative study measured several economic factors to evaluate farmers' financial and social potency in contributing to the NRCMS.</p> <p>Result</p> <p>A higher GDP per capita were found within economically developed regions (p < 0.05) than in less developed areas, with higher tendency for funding capacity and average funding capability in villages and towns within economically developed regions (p < 0.05) than in economically less developed. Maximum benefits between two regions in medical insurance coverage showed significant difference (p < 0.05); differences between basic medical insurance coverage between two regions was insignificant (p > 0.05); nevertheless, economically developed regions showed higher threshold and rebates with less co-payments in the economically developed than less developed.</p> <p>Conclusion</p> <p>Despite some loop holes in the NRCMS, the system is workable, but needs more strengthening by encouraging farmers' participation into NRCMS with a necessity to implement a new reimbursement payment system by health care providers. In addition it is proposed that for maximum benefits another premium funding should be secured.</p

    Towards model checking Android applications

    As feature-rich Android applications (apps for short) are increasingly popularized in security-sensitive scenarios, methods to verify their security properties are highly desirable. Existing approaches on verifying Android apps often have limited effectiveness. For instance, static analysis often suffers from a high false-positive rate, whereas approaches based on dynamic testing are limited in coverage. In this work, we propose an alternative approach, which is to apply the software model checking technique to verify Android apps. We have built a general framework named DroidPF upon Java PathFinder (JPF), towards model checking Android apps. In the framework, we craft an executable mock-up Android OS which enables JPF to dynamically explore the concrete state spaces of the tested apps; we construct programs to generate user interaction and environmental input so as to drive the dynamic execution of the apps; and we introduce Android specific reduction techniques to help alleviate the state space explosion. DroidPF focuses on common security vulnerabilities in Android apps including sensitive data leakage involving a non-trivial flow- and context-sensitive taint-style analysis. DroidPF has been evaluated with 131 apps, which include real-world apps, third-party libraries, malware samples and benchmarks for evaluating app analysis techniques like ours.
