Properties of a coupled two species atom-heteronuclear molecule condensate

We study the coherent association of a two-species atomic condensate into a condensate of heteronuclear diatomic molecules, using both a semiclassical treatment and a quantum mechanical approach. The differences and connections between the two approaches are examined. We show that, in this coupled nonlinear atom-molecule system, the population difference between the two atomic species plays a significant role in the ground-state stability properties as well as in coherent population oscillation dynamics.Comment: 7 pages, 4 figure

INTRODUCTION AND OBJECTIVE: The correctness of the blood test is closely related to the sample. According to the recent reported data, 80 percentage unsatisfactory results of the clinical test are due to the poor quality of sample, especially the blood sample. Clinical practice guide (CPG) is directly to instruct the clinical nursing practice. And the recommendations in the clinical practice guide are based on the best available study evidences. There is lack of CPG about blood sample specimen collection, preservation and delivery (BSCPD) in China. Additionally, related published clinical studies are accumulated in a great deal. Therefore, establishing a CPG is necessarily and practicable. The detailed objectives are: 1) to describe and analyze the research status of BSCPD in China; 2) to describe and analyze the practice status of BSCPD in China; 3) to systematic appraise the available evidences of BSCPD; 4) to establish the clinical practice guide of BSCPD; 5) to judge the clinical practice guide of BSCPD. METHODS: Objective 1): Bibliometric analysis is applied, the database include China National Knowledge Infrastructure Database (CNKI) and Sino-med and the research period is from the year of 2003 to 2013; Objective 2): Questionnaire survey for all the registered clinical nurses in a grade three hospital; objective 3): Systematic review according to Cochrane collaboration handbook 5.1.0 is applied which includes assessment of risk of bias, data extraction, data analysis; Objective 4) and 5): Using the appraising guidelines research and evaluation (AGREE) to evaluate of the draft of CPG of BSCPD. RESULTS: Bibliometric analysis started in 2013, and search strategies have been established. Questionnaire survey setting and depth interviewees have been identified and communicated. CONCLUSIONS: The CPG of BSCPD will serve as an important resource in instructing and modifying clinical nursing practice. Given this CPG of BSCPD will be a draft version, the applicability and suitability of it will need a further evaluated in the real clinical nursing world

    Self-organized Boolean game on networks

A model of Boolean game with only one free parameter pp that denotes the strength of herd behavior is proposed where each agent acts according to the information obtained from his neighbors in network and those in the minority are rewarded. The simulation results indicate that the dynamic of system is sensitive to network topology, where the network of larger degree variance, i.e. the system of greater information heterogeneity, leads to less system profit. The system can self-organize to a stable state and perform better than random choice game, although only the local information is available to the agents. In addition, in heterogeneity networks, the agents with more information gain more than those with less information for a wide extent of herd strength pp.Comment: 5 pages, 5 eps figure

    Measurement back-action on the quantum spin-mixing dynamics of a spin-1 Bose-Einstein condensate

We consider a small F=1 spinor condensate inside an optical cavity driven by an optical probe field, and subject the output of the probe to a homodyne detection, with the goal of investigating the effect of measurement back-action on the spin dynamics of the condensate. Using the stochastic master equation approach, we show that the effect of back-action is sensitive to not only the measurement strength but also the quantum fluctuation of the spinor condensate. The same method is also used to estimate the atom numbers below which the effect of back-action becomes so prominent that extracting spin dynamics from this cavity-based detection scheme is no longer practical

The title compound, C20H20N2O4, crystallizes with four independent molecules in the asymmetric unit. In the molecules, the dihedral angles between the benzene rings and indole mean planes are 24.5 (1), 22.5 (1), 8.8 (1) and 13.9 (1)°. In the crystal, intermolecular N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds are present between the imino groups and the adjacent carbonyl groups. π–π stacking is also observed with a centroid–centroid distance between nearly parallel pyrrole rings of 3.745 (3) Å

In the mononuclear title complex, [Co(NCS)2(C9H10N2O)2]·CH3OH, the cobalt(II) ion is surrounded by two (1-methyl-1H-benzimidazol-2-yl)methanol bidentate ligands and two thiocyanate ligands, and exhibits a distorted octahedral coordination by four N atoms and two O atoms. The structure is consolidated by hydrogen bonds between the organic ligand, thiocyanate anion and the uncoordinated methanol molecule, leading to a chain along [100]
