Policies and Practices of Professional Development in China: What do Early Childhood Teachers Think?
This paper focuses on early childhood teachers’ professional development in China. It reports a study which aims to elicit twelve in-service early childhood teachers’ perspectives of the values and issues of professional development policies and the learning opportunities they experienced. Two themes arising from the study are addressed, namely the teachers’ positive responses to the government aspirations for enhancing teaching in early childhood education, and the complexities of the organizational and role structures of the early childhood community in ChangChun where the study took place. An important aspect of the teachers’ perspectives of their professional development, which connects up to the early childhood environment in ChangChun, is the view that professional development was oriented to their own employment continuity. Teachers’ learning was perceived as a useful means to offset the insecurity of their careers, but not closely related to children’s learning
0- qubit in one Josephson junction
Quantum states are usually fragile which makes quantum computation being not
as stable as classical computation. Quantum correction codes can protect
quantum states but need a large number of physical qubits to code a single
logic qubit. Alternatively, the protection at the hardware level has been
recently developed to maintain the coherence of the quantum information by
using symmetries. However, it generally has to pay the expense of increasing
the complexity of the quantum devices. In this work, we show that the
protection at the hardware level can be approached without increasing the
complexity of the devices. The interplay between the spin-orbit coupling and
the Zeeman splitting in the semiconductor allows us to tune the Josephson
coupling in terms of the spin degree of freedom of Cooper pairs, the hallmark
of the superconducting spintronics. This leads to the implementation of the
parity-protected 0- superconducting qubit with only one highly transparent
superconductor-semiconductor Josephson junction, which makes our proposal
immune from the various fabrication imperfections.Comment: 5 pages, 4 figure
Design of a live animal vibration automatic control screening machine based on meta-component and semantic similarity principle
A novel live animal screening machine was designed to solve the screening issue for yellow mealworm and frass in the artificial breeding production process. The control system based on semantic similarity computation, operation mode, overall structure, working principle and main structural parameters of the machine were designed and optimized in this study. Furthermore, the kinematics mathematical model of the crank-rocker of shaking and the screening mechanism was analysed. In addition, motion analysis of shaking and screening mechanism was conducted, and then the displacement, velocity and acceleration curves of pendulum rod and screening body were obtained. Finally, the structure design and motion simulation of all parts were finalized to confident with the design. The prototype performance tests of the yellow mealworm screening machine show that machine has a reasonable structure, convenient operation, good screening effect and high working efficiency. This study provides a new thought for screening yellow mealworms
