ADRC-based model predictive current control for PMSMs fed by three-phase four-switch inverters
© 2016 IEEE.A novel automatic disturbances rejection control (ADRC)-based model predictive current control (MPCC) strategy is developed for permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) fed by three-phase four-switch inverters, an after-fault-topology for fault-tolerant three-phase six-switch inverters. The mathematical model of a PMSM fed by a three-phase four-switch inverter is built firstly. Then the ADRC and MPCC are respectively designed, with the former being used to realize disturbance estimation and disturbance compensation while the latter being used to reduce stator current ripple and improve the quality of the torque and speed control. The resultant ADRC-based MPCC PMSM fed by an unhealthy inverter has fault-tolerant effective with dynamical performance very close to an ADRC-based MPCC PMSM fed by a healthy inverter. On the other hand, compared with PI-based MPCC PMSM fed by an unhealthy inverter, it possesses better dynamical response behavior and stronger robustness as well as smaller THD index of three-phase stator current in the presence of variation of load torque. The simulation results validate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed scheme
Studies on hemorrhagic pneumonia in Moschus sifanicus
A series of investigations were carried out including epidemiology, etiology and pathology on hemorrhagic pneumonia in Moschus sifanicus, which had prevailed in Xinglong Mountain National Nature Reserve District in Gansu province of China. The results indicated that the prevalence of thisdisease could be correlated with local humidity in Xinglong Mountain in Gansu province of China. The disease is caused by single infection of Pasteurella multocida or mix of P. multocida, Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and is a contagious disease. The pathological changes were mainly manifested in the vessel wall of bronchia and bronchiole appeared congested, bleeding, edemic with infiltration of inflammatory cells, mucosa of bronchiole degenerates, with the presence of necrosis and exfoliation, pulmonary alveolus generated suppuration, disaggregation and necrosis. It was concluded that the diseases are mainly caused by local bacteria and affected M. sifanicus finally die of hemorrhagic or purulent, necrotic pneumonia
Radiation dose and cancer risk from pediatric CT examinations on 64-slice CT: A phantom study
Objective: To measure the radiation dose from CT scans in an anthropomorphic phantom using a 64-slice MDCT, and to estimate the associated cancer risk. Materials and methods: Organ doses were measured with a 5-year-old phantom and thermoluminescent dosimeters. Four protocols; head CT, thorax CT, abdomen CT and pelvis CT were studied. Cancer risks, in the form of lifetime attributable risk (LAR) of cancer incidence, were estimated by linear extrapolation using the organ radiation doses and the LAR data. Results: The effective doses for head, thorax, abdomen and pelvis CT, were 0.7 mSv, 3.5 mSv, 3.0 mSv, 1.3 mSv respectively. The organs with the highest dose were; for head CT, salivary gland (22.33 mGy); for thorax CT, breast (7.89 mGy); for abdomen CT, colon (6.62 mGy); for pelvis CT, bladder (4.28 mGy). The corresponding LARs for boys and girls were 0.015-0.053% and 0.034-0.155% respectively. The organs with highest LARs were; for head CT, thyroid gland (0.003% for boys, 0.015% for girls); for thorax CT, lung for boys (0.014%) and breast for girls (0.069%); for abdomen CT, colon for boys (0.017%) and lung for girls (0.016%); for pelvis CT, bladder for both boys and girls (0.008%). Conclusion: The effective doses from these common pediatric CT examinations ranged from 0.7 mSv to 3.5 mSv and the associated lifetime cancer risks were found to be up to 0.16%, with some organs of higher radiosensitivity including breast, thyroid gland, colon and lungs. © 2010 Elsevier Ireland Ltd. An integrated particle sampler and lung radiation dosimeter
A lung dosimeter that can record the nonradiological hazard of aerosol particles to the lung as well as the radiological hazard of air borne radionuclides that are attached to aerosol particles has been developed. The dosimeter is capable of recording aerosol particles of diameters from 10-2 μm to 102 μ by electrostatic collection in a specially designed dosimeter body. The aerosol size distribution is recorded on a mylar strip and the activity size distribution of α, β, and γ radiation emitting aerosols recorded on another strip coated with α-Al2O3:C. Both strips can be read by a specially built reader, the output of which can be used to calculate the nonradiological hazard and radiological hazard, respectively, and to give an overall picture of the exposure.published_or_final_versio
Effects of tachyplesin on the morphology and ultrastructure of human gastric carcinoma cell line BGC-823
AIM To investigate the morphological and ultrastructural changes in the human gastric carcinoma cell line BGC-S23 after being treated with tachyplesin, METHODS Tachyplesin was isolated from acid extracts of Chinese horseshoe crab (Tachypleus tridentatus) hemocytes, BGC-823 cells and the cells treated with 2.0 mg/L tachyplesin were examined respectively under light microscope, scanning and transmission electron microscope. RESULTS BGC-823 cells had undergone the restorational alteration in morphology and ultrastructure after tachyplesin treatment. The changes were as follows: the shape of cells was unanimous, the volume enlarged and cells turned to be flat and spread, the nucleocytoplasmic ratio lessened and nuclear shape became rather regular, the number of nucleolus reduced and its volume lessened, heterchromatin decreased while euchromatin increased in nucleus. In the cytoplasm, mitochondria grew in number with consistent structure relatively, Golgi complex turned to be typical and well-developed, rough endoplasmic reticulum increased and polyribosome decreased. The microvilli at cellular surface were rare and the filopodia reduced while lamellipodia increased at the cell edge. CONCLUSION Tachyplesin could alter the malignant morphological and ultrastructural characteristics of human gastric carcinoma cells effectively and have a certain inducing differentiation effect on human gastric carcinoma cells
A Comparison of Centering Algorithms in the Astrometry of Cassini Imaging Science Subsystem Images and Anthe’s Astrometric Reduction
In the CAVIAR software package, a standard tool for astrometry of images from the Cassini imaging science subsystem (ISS), Gaussian fitting is used to measure the centre of point-like objects, achieving a typical precision of about 0.2 pixels. In this work, we consider how alternative methods may improve on this. We compare three traditional centroiding methods: two-dimensional Gaussian fitting, median, and modified moment. Results using 56 selected images show that the centroiding precision of the modified moment method is significantly better than the other two methods, with standard deviations for all residuals in sample and line of 0.065 and 0.063 pixels, respectively, representing a factor of over 2 improvement compared to Gaussian fitting. Secondly, a comparison of observations using Cassini ISS images of Anthe is performed. Anthe results show a similar improvement. The modified moment method is then used to reduce all ISS images of Anthe during the period 2008–2017. The observed-minus-calculated residuals relative to the JPL SAT393 ephemeris are calculated. In terms of α × cos(δ) and δ in the Cassini-centred international celestial reference frame, mean values of all residuals are close to 0 km, and their standard deviations are less than 1 km for narrow angle camera images, and about 4 km for wide angle camera images
Effects of tachyplesin on the regulation of cell cycle in human hepatocarcinoma SMMC-7721 cells
AIM: To investigate the effects of tachyplesin on the cell cycle regulation in human hepatcarcinoma cells. METHODS: Effects of tachyplesin on the cell cycle in human hepatocarcinoma SMMC-7721 cells were assayed with flow cytometry. The protein levels of p53, p16, cyclin D1 and CDK4 were assayed by immunocytochemistry. The mRNA levels of p21(WAF1/CIP1) and c-myc genes were examined with in situ hybridization assay. RESULTS: After tachyplesin treatment, the cell cycle arrested at G(0)/G(1) phase, the protein levels of mutant p53, cyclin D1 and CDK4 and the mRNA level of c-myc gene a were decreased, whereas the levels of p16 protein and p21(WAF1/CIP1) mRNA increased. CONCLUSION: Tachyplesin might arrest the cell at G(0)/G(1) phase by upregulating the levels of p16 protein and p21(WAF1/CIP1) mRNA and downregulating the levels of mutant p53, cyclin D1 and CDK4 proteins and c-myc mRNA, and induce the differentiation of human hepatocacinoma cells
Effects of tachyplesin on proliferation and differentiation of human hepatocellular carcinoma SMMC-7721 cells
AIM: To investigate the antitumor activities of tachyplesin on human hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cells. METHODS: Tachyplesin, isolated from acid extracts of Chinese horseshoe crab ( Tachypleus tridentatus) hemocytes, was used to treat the human HCC cell line SMMC-7721. Effects of tachyplesin on the proliferation of SMMC-7721 cells were measured with trypan blue dye exclusion test and HE staining. The morphology and ultrastructure of the cells were examined by light microscopy and transmission electron microscopy, respectively. The activities of gamma-glutamyltransferase (gamma-GT) and tyrosine aminotransferase (TAT) were assayed with biochemical methods. The levels of alpha fetoprotein (alpha-FP), proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA), p21(WAF1/CIP1) and c-myc were examined by immunocytochemistry. RESULTS: After treatment with tachyplesin 3.0 mg/L, the proliferation of SMMC-7721 cells was inhibited significantly, with the cell growth inhibitory rate amounted to 55.57% and the maximum cell mitotic index declined by 43.68%. The morphology and ultrastructure underwent restorational alteration. The activity of gamma-GT declined while TAT activity increased obviously, and the levels of alpha-FP and PCNA decreased. Moreover, the expression of p21(WAF1/CIP1) protein was up-regulated and that of c-myc protein was down-regulated. CONCLUSION: Tachyplesin could effectively inhibit the proliferation of hepatocarcinoma cells, reverse the malignant morphological and ultrastructural characteristics, alter the levels of enzymes and antigens, regulate the expression of differentiation-associated oncogene and tumor suppressor gene, and induce hepatocarcinama cell differentiation
First Measurements of eta_c Decaying into K^+K^-2(pi^+pi^-) and 3(pi^+pi^-)
The decays of eta_c to K^+K^-2(pi^+pi^-) and 3(pi^+pi^-) are observed for the
first time using a sample of 5.8X10^7 J/\psi events collected by the BESII
detector. The product branching fractions are determined to be B(J/\psi-->gamma
eta_c)*B(eta_c-->K^+K^-pi^+pi^-pi^+pi^-)=(1.21+-0.32+-
0.23)X10^{-4}, and (J/\psi-->gamma eta_c)*
B(eta_c-->pi^+pi^-pi^+pi^-pi^+pi^-)= (2.59+-0.32+-0.48)X10^{-4}. The upper
limit for eta_c-->phi pi^+pi^-pi^+pi^- is also obtained as B(J/\psi-->gamma
eta_c)*B(eta_c--> phi pi^+pi^-pi^+pi^-)< 6.03 X10^{-5} at the 90% confidence
level.Comment: 11 pages, 4 figure
