In the title compound, C17H17NO2, the dihedral angle between the two benzene rings is 55.2 (2)°. The methoxy group is slightly twisted away from the aniline ring [dihedral angle = 10.3 (2)°]. An intramolecular N—H⋯O interaction is present. In the crystal, the molecules are linked into a three-dimensional supramolecular network through two sets of C—H⋯π interactions

Production of large transverse momentum dileptons and photons in pppp, dAdA and AAAA collisions by photoproduction processes

The production of large PTP_{T} dileptons and photons originating from photoproduction processes in pppp, dAdA and AAAA collisions is calculated. We find that the contribution of dileptons and photons produced by photoproduction processes is not prominent at RHIC energies. However, the numerical results indicate that the modification of photoproduction processes becomes evident in the large PTP_{T} region for pppp, dAdA and AAAA collisions at LHC energies.Comment: 10 figure

Indenter Shape Dependent Dislocation Actives and Stress Distributions of Single Crystal Nickel during Nanoindentation: A Molecular Dynamics Simulation

    Get PDF
The influences of indenter shape on dislocation actives and stress distributions during nanoindentation were studied by using molecular dynamics (MD) simulation. The load-displacement curves, indentation-induced stress fields, and dislocation activities were analyzed by using rectangular, spherical, and Berkovich indenters on single crystal nickel. For the rectangular and spherical indenters, the load-displacement curves have a linear dependence, but the elastic stage produced by the spherical indenter does not last longer than that produced by the rectangular indenter. For a Berkovich indenter, there is almost no linear elastic regime, and an amorphous region appears directly below the indenter tip, which is related to the extremely singular stress field around the indenter tip. In three indenters cases, the prismatic dislocation loops are observed on the {111} planes, and there is a sudden increase in stress near the indenter for the Berkovich indenter. The stress distributions are smooth with no sudden irregularities at low-indentation depths; and the stress increases and a sudden irregularity appears with the increasing indentation depths for the rectangular and spherical indenters. Moreover, the rectangular indenter has the most complex dislocation activities and the spherical indenter is next, while very few dislocations occur in the Berkovich indenter case

Shadow Thermodynamics of AdS Black Hole with the Nonlinear Electrodynamics Term

In this paper, we have creatively employed the shadow radius to study the thermodynamics of a charged AdS black hole with a nonlinear electrodynamics(NLED) term. First, the connection between the shadow radius and event horizon is constructed with the aid of the geodesic analysis. It turns out that the black hole shadow radius shows a positive correlation as a function of the event horizon radius. Then in the shadow context, we found that the black hole temperature and heat capacity can be presented by the shadow radius. And further analysis shows that the shadow radius can do as well as the event horizon in revealing black hole phase transition process. In this sense, we constructed the thermal profile of the charged AdS black hole with inclusion of the NLED effect. In P < Pc case, it is found that the N-type trend of the temperature given by the shadow radius is always coincide with that obtained by using the event horizon. So, we can concluded for the charged AdS black hole that the phase transition process can be intuitively presented as the thermal profile in the shadow context. Finally, the effects of NLED have been carefully analysed through out the paper.Comment: 17 pages, 21 figure
